"I lost my job..." Well, there went keeping *that* secret. Gio flushed the toilet, seemingly done for now. Sweat was dotting his forehead and his normally tan complexion was gone, making him look whiter than a ghost. He leaned against Sirius and inhaled shakily "Silas fired me because I kept screwing orders, dropping things... I was having a *very* off night..." he actually managed to not say more than that... or, it was because his head was back in the toilet and he was unable to continue with recapping the past few weeks for Sirius.

"Oh baby," Sirius sighed as he kept rubbing Gio's back as he retched. He was going to *kill* Silas. Gio was clearly sick. Instead of sending him home to get better, he just fired him? Sirius had to stay calm right now though because getting mad wasn't going to help Gio at this moment. He grabbed a washcloth and wet it to wipe the sweat from Gio's face.
Sirius handed him a small cup of water. "Just rinse for now. Then try a small sip of water. See if it stays down."

Gio groaned miserably, finally able to pull himself away from the toilet completely. He declined the water for sipping purposes and just laid against Sirius' chest - despite all of the vomiting, his forehead wasn't hot; actually he wasn't running a fever at all, quite the opposite. He was wracked with shivers "It's cold in here..." Gio whispered.
Sirius helped him up to his feet after that, and practically carried him to the bedroom. Sirius tucked him underneath the heavy comforter and then laid on top, snuggling close and Gio turned into him, sniffling and trying to hold back tears "It wasn't just... just today that I'd been screwing up... It's been a few days now." Gio whispered, he hated that he couldn't *lie* or keep a secret around Sirius - it was annoying "I understand why he fired me... Please... please don't say anything to him Sirius? I'm... I am an adult, I can handle this..."

"You're clearly sick," Sirius said gently, holding him close. He cradled Gio's head against his shoulder. "He should have seen that and sent you home, not fired you. You've been under the weather for a while now and barely eating. Of course you're having problems."
Sirius frowned against Gio's hair. "How long have you been this sick?"

Gio shook his head and sniffled, holding up three fingers... then quickly switching it to five "Five days? I think? I don't know, I stopped counting after the second day..." Gio said quietly and tried snuggling even closer to Sirius, practically wanting to crawl inside of the older man "I think maybe... Maybe its just stress - I've been working a little more, and all the house hunting, and your pregnancy... Things aren't exactly calm in my life right now. I'm not used to this much activity."
Gio reached behind himself and rubbed his back, wincing slightly. "It's just... It's got to be the stress of everything, I'm sure I'll be better soon - maybe this break from working will help me, give me a little more balance - I can take up yoga again, or even gymnastics... I haven't done any of my normal stretching poses in so long... I feel like I'm getting old." Gio pouted and wrapped his arm around Sirius' waist again loosely, tucking his head further underneath the older man's chin.

Sirius furrowed his brow. "I think maybe you should go to the doctor. This is almost as long as I was sick when you made me go to the doctor. You're not pregnant, but you should get checked out."
Except... the symptoms were so similar.
"Do you know your carrier status?" asked Sirius haltingly. "Have you ever been tested for it?"

Gio shook his head slowly "I haven't been tested." Gio said quietly, drawing a random pattern against Sirius' slightly pudgy belly and keeping his eyes closed "I never had a reason to be tested for it - I made every guy I ever dated wear a condom, from the moment I was sexually active until you..." Gio sniffled and curled up a little tighter around his stomach.
"I never imagined... being in a committed relationship, with someone I loved... Dismissing condoms from our relationship... I never saw that in my future, so I never thought to get myself tested."

"We were so stupid when we stopped using condoms," Sirius sighed heavily. "We should have gotten you tested as soon as we thought about stopping. And we should have used something to prevent pregnancy in both of us. Gio, you need to take a pregnancy test. I don't want to be all 'that's obviously what it is' but I'm pretty sure that's what it is."
He pressed a kiss to Gio's head. "I love you no matter what so whatever happens that's not going to change."

Gio sniffled as tears started leaking from his eyes "Do you have any pregnancy tests in the apartment? I don't want to see a doctor... Not yet..." Gio said quietly and curled up even tighter, his eyes closed tightly.
He certainly didn't want to be pregnant - not that he didn't love Sirius whole heartedly, but the timing was very clearly *bad* "This is such terrible timing, if I *am* pregnant, Sirius... We can't - three kids? How..." he didn't even take into account that this was his *first* pregnancy with a Flint, that he probably wasn't pregnant with a single, but two children... He was so stressed out, getting even more stressed now, that the Famous Flint Twin Gene didn't even cross his mind.

Sirius shook his head, rubbing Gio's back. "I can go buy some. The store on the corner would have them. They have everything else. If you are pregnant, we'll handle it. It's not ideal obviously but we'll handle it. We'll get a nanny, hire a night nurse. Whatever we need to do."
Sirius cupped Gio's face in his hands, looking at him with a serious expression on his face. "I love you. I'm not going anywhere."

Gio nodded and leaned up, kissing Sirius' cheek lightly since his mouth still tasted vile "I love you too, Si." he said softly and nudged his nose against Sirius' nose lightly.
After a few seconds he pulled back and laid his head back down on the pillow, yawning loudly and closing his eyes again "I'll be here when you get back... I'm not going anywhere either. Too tired to try and move right now, anyway." Gio said with a light teasing smile on his face, he gently patted Sirius' belly and then yawned again. It didn't seem to take long at all for Gio to fall asleep, it seemed, his fingers still lightly clutching the fabric of Sirius' shirt.

Sirius got out of bed, trying to keep himself from panicking as he put Misha in bed with Gio. He put his shoes back on and practically ran down the street to the bodega to get all the pregnancy tests they had. He must look crazy since he clearly looked pregnant these days and he knew that Mr. Lee knew he was pregnant and here he was buying pregnancy tests. Mr. Lee didn't say anything though, just tucked the tests in a bag and handed them to Sirius.
He headed back to the apartment, chewing on his lip and wondering what the hell they were going to do if Gio was pregnant too. He slipped off his shoes and found Gio snuggling Misha, barely awake.
"I got the tests," Sirius whispered. "Do you have to pee?"

Gio nodded and slowly released Misha, putting the small dog in his warmed up spot as he rolled out of the bed slowly. He covered the dog back up and then groaned as he fell against Sirius chest, banging his forehead against the solid muscle mass of his boyfriends pectorals "Fuck..." he breathed slowly through his mouth, out through his nose until the dizziness and nausea seemed to pass.
"Yes. I have to pee... Just..." he took the bag from Sirius and inhaled deeply "Stay out here, please?" Gio asked, looking up at Sirius with glassy eyes; tears collecting in the corners.

Sirius nodded, wiping away the tears from Gio's eyes. "Just while you're taking them. Open the door so we can wait together. Please?"
Gio nodded and slipped into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him. Sirius sat down on the bed heavily, resting a hand on his belly while he waited, his mind whirling with all the possibilities. He was so out of sorts, he didn't even think about the fact it would be Gio's first pregnancy either and how high the odds were that if he was pregnant, it would be twins.

Gio dumped all of the tests onto the counter and sighed as he opened each box up, pulling one stick out of them and putting the boxes aside. He grabbed the sample pee cup and stood over the toilet. He filled the cup first and then emptied the rest of his bladder in the toilet before standing over the counter.
He dipped each test stick into his urine sample and then laid them on the counter on top of a towel. Once all six tests were lined up, he quickly opened the bathroom door and shuffled out, sitting next to Sirius on the bed and tucking himself against the broad man's body. "I'm scared, Sirius... What if it's positive? We can't possibly take on this many babies at once... Can we?"

Sirius held him close, pressing kisses to Gio's hair as he watched the clock. "Sidney and Silas did three at once with three others at home. It's doable. It won't be easy but we'll be able to do it. We'll get help. Do you think anyone in your family would want to come over for a bit?"
The clock kept ticking. "When do we have to check?"

Gio looked towards the bathroom "Three minutes." he whispered miserably, sniffling and pulling his legs up tight against his chest, wrapping his arms around them - he looked so much smaller, fragile, vulnerable, when he was in this position - it spoke volumes to how afraid he really was.
"My mother. She would be the only one who would willingly fly over to America. She has dual citizenship, so she can freely fly to and from without a problem... She has been waiting for her first grandchild - now we get to tell her that there are multiples... She'll be ecstatic, and I don't know if she will want to ever leave again." Gio said as he looked up at Sirius "By the time they are all born... My entire family will be moved to America... Because wherever she goes, they go... she is the leader of the Aetós family, even if my father is still alive and kicking. She wears the pants."

"I don't know if we can get a visa for everyone. God, I don't know what you losing your job does for your visa. I'm not a citizen so even if we got married that wouldn't help you out." Sirius wrapped his arms around Gio, tucking his head under Sirius's chin. "We don't need to think about that now. Forget I said anything."
He watched the clock until three minutes passed. "It's time. Ready to do this? Do you want me to do it alone?"

Gio nodded and reluctantly let Sirius go. Now he had even *more* to stress about, thanks to Sirius opening his mouth about their visa status - they really needed to look into the Citizenship test. What happens if the babies are born, and they got deported? Would they be separated from their kids? "I can't..." He whispered miserably.
As soon as Sirius let him go and got off of the bed, Gio laid down, curling up into a tight ball around his belly. Tears silently slid down his cheeks - he didn't want to be pregnant anymore. This was a bad idea, and it wasn't even an idea to begin with; it just *happened*. Gio started sobbing quietly into Sirius' pillow and he couldn't stop the tears. Everything was just going to hell in a hand basket, there was no 'looking up' from where he was standing.

Sirius walked into the bathroom and felt his heart sink as he looked down the line of tests. All of them were positive. Every single one. None of them were even faintly positive. He closed his eyes briefly before throwing out the tests and going back into the bedroom. He climbed into bed and curled around Gio, holding him close.
"We ... ah. Need to make an appointment with Marc. They were all positive," Sirius said, his voice cracking. "You're pregnant too."
