Anna brings the baby right up onto his chest. She cries loudly as Anna dries her a bit.

Gio is crying tears of happiness.

"She's beautiful." Dr Takeda cannot believe what has just happened.

(baby's name will be Asami).

"She is," Anna smiles before taking a quick listen to the her heart and lungs, right on Gio's chest.

"What's her name?" Anna asks quietly.

Asami then cries out to be fed. Dr Takeda helps Gio put her on for her first feed.

Gio delivers the first afterbirth. Not long after that, he has another contraction, which signals that baby no2 is almost ready to enter the world.

Anna cleans him up, and gets ready for tue next baby. "Do you want one of the nurses to hold Asami?"

"Please." Gio pants, as he feels the urge again.

She quickly takes the baby out to a waiting nurse. Sge returns, situating herself by the tub again. "Go ahead and push with the next contraction Gio."

When the next contraction comes on, Gio pushes as hard as he can. Dr Takeda is beside him, ruffling through his hair and whispering Japanese words of comfort into his ear.

Gio rests for a second, before pushing again. He can feel the baby moving down, but something tells him that something is wrong.

She grabs a fresh glove and gently examines him. "Sorry Gio, I know it's uncomfortable," she apologizes.
