"No, I'm good. But I would like to rest when we get to the house, if possible. I feel a bit...odd," he said, getting to his feet and bracing himself momentarily. "Come on. You have the address, right?" he asked.

Janel was out of her seat as soon as Sam said he was feeling odd. The word 'odd' set off warning bells in her head and she was tempted to find a professor or one of the doctors. Ok, maybe not a doctor. She wrapped an arm around his upper back ready to catch, support or help. "Yes I do have it, but are you sure you can make it out the door? I do not want you to fall or pass out on me."

"I'm fine. Really, don't be worried. They told us to get a full night's worth of sleep and well I didn't. I just need to nap when we return. Promise," he said, though he appreciated the help as they walked out of the small building.

Janel half believed him and refused to move her arm as the walked into the sunlight. "I have to worry a little Sam. You're my partner and we're in this together." She calmly informed him. "But if you just need a nap then you can claim the first room when we get to the house and I'll make the bed for you."

(I figured this is during the day, so the kids get dropped off by a "bus" later in the afternoon)

"Thank you, Janel," he said, climbing into the car that was waiting for them. A short drive later, Janel stopped at a modestly sized house just outside the campus.

It seemed to be a nice size to Sam- not small, not large. The front lawn was dotted with large trees and from what he could see, the back was clear. The house was covered in a smooth white exterior as she pulled into the driveway.

"Well this is nice..." he said, getting out of the car.

(Ok)

Janel stood beside Sam, keeping a grip on the door as her eyes took in their new home. She had been expecting an apartment complex. A building two families would have to share and choose if they wanted to live on the right of the left. Not a house with a real back and front yard, and trees. "Are we sure our professor isn't a real estate agent?" She joked before shutting the door after Sam moved.

"He said we would live like a family. I guess they really meant it," he said, stepping inside. After years of living in dorms and apartments, an actual, furnished home was refreshing. The house was modestly decorated and as he trudged upstairs, he saw that all the beds were made and everything was good to go. Except for one, empty room, the upstairs contained three bedrooms. He plopped down in the biggest one and called to Janel, "I'm going to get some sleep."

Janel followed Samuel upstairs, watching his every step while looking at bits and pieces of the various rooms. But once Sam was settled she started a real exploration of her new domain starting with the two rooms her partner did not chose. The first half the size of the Sam's room, with neutral colored walls and carpet. "I suppose this room is meant for our..oldest." It would take more than hour for her to get used to that term. "So the other.." She looked down the hall to the second smaller room. "must belong to our middle child." She nodded to herself pleased with the arrangement so far before "Wait.." it hit her. "Where am I supposed to sleep?"

Two hours later, Sam awoke from his sleep. Looking at the clock, he saw it was 2:30 in the afternoon. He swung his legs over the size of the bed. He walked down the hallway, peering into the two kids' rooms. Kids. He still couldn't believe it. An empty room at the end of the hall was supposed to the baby's nursery. The baby...he definitely couldn't believe that. He patted his belly unconsciously before heading downstairs.

Janel whimpered as the bed moved and mumbled a soft "stop" before dozing back off. It had taken an hour of internal debate before she finally put on her big girl pants and laid down on the bed. She made sure to stay close to the edge and slept with her head at the foot so that Sam wouldn't freak out if he saw her.

Sam didn't see Janel downstairs and had completely missed her lying in bed next to him. No matter. According to the paper, he had until 4:00 before their "children" came home and he went downstairs and turned on the television, using some of the precious little spare time he would get in the next few months.

Janel came downstairs at 3:50 yawning and stretching. She had needed that little nap. The brunette walked straight into the kitchen and came out a minute later with two glasses of water. Not wanting to disturb her partner too much she sat down on the end of the couch and showed Sam his choices. One had ice while the other was just plain water.

RE: Growing Pains (closed with TigerWolf) - BabyDaddy - 08-08-2014

"Oh, thank you," he said, grabbing the non-iced water. He took a sip before turning his attention back to the T.V.

"Our kids will be getting home soon...Jesus Christ..." he murmured, shaking his head.

RE: Growing Pains (closed with TigerWolf) - TigerWolf - 08-08-2014

Janel sipped her ice water and settled into the couch. "Yeas, they will be. I wonder if we get to name them or if they all ready comes with names like this little dolls, uh what do you call them.." She looked the ceiling. "They're the ones all young girls want and the company adds a new doll to their line each year.."

RE: Growing Pains (closed with TigerWolf) - BabyDaddy - 08-08-2014

"I...I have no idea. We'll have to see if they call each other anything when they walk in."

(What do you want their names to be?)

RE: Growing Pains (closed with TigerWolf) - TigerWolf - 08-08-2014

(I don't know
Owen, Sabrina, Tyler, Kayla, Tiffany, Daniel, Lilly, Charles, Roy, Parker etc. so many names to choose from @.@)

Janel returned her gaze back to Earth and Sam. "Do you think we should think some up just in case." They would have to eventually for the new baby.

RE: Growing Pains (closed with TigerWolf) - BabyDaddy - 08-08-2014

(How about Danny and Kayla?)

"Well...um...we have to decorate the nursery too. Should we think of a name for a boy and a girl?" he asked.

RE: Growing Pains (closed with TigerWolf) - TigerWolf - 08-08-2014

(That's fine)

They had to do that now?! Janel thought that step would come later, like after they knew the child's gender. "How about we stick with choosing names today and we worry about the baby's room next month. I like the name Rachel for a girl and Ash for a boy."

RE: Growing Pains (closed with TigerWolf) - BabyDaddy - 08-08-2014

Sam smiled a bit. "I like that. And yeah, I noticed the empty room and assumed they want us to plan a nursery," he said. The grinding of a bus to a halt outside made him freeze up. Their "kids" were home.

RE: Growing Pains (closed with TigerWolf) - TigerWolf - 08-08-2014

At seeing Sam freeze Janel stood up and walked around the couch. "You stay here. I'll get them." She could do this. They were her kids after all. She walked to the front door and, after a moment of mental centering, pulled it wide open.
