"Making the second incision now, you'll be holding C and D in your arms soon enough, gentlemen!" Marc announced, and it was barely even five seconds later before one blood-covered baby was being extracted from the womb and the umbilical cord was snipped. Loud wails piercing the air "Well, that's no surprise! It's a healthy baby boy with a big set of... lungs on him."
One of the nurses took the screaming infant over to the cleaning station so she could get the infant cleaned up, weighed, measured and wrapped up nice and snug "Number two is on his way shortly!"
Gio wheezed a bit and the nurse that was monitoring Sirius pulled the face mask over Gio's mouth "Just take nice and slow breaths, we know it's hard to be laying in this position." the nurse said sympathetically as she gently rubbed Gio's head and then turned her attention back to Sirius "Hold on just a little longer, Mr. Flint. We're almost done here and then we can get you into a labor room yourself." The nurse looked up over at Marc "His contractions are getting closer together, about eight minutes now, and definitely stronger, Doctor."

Marc kept working, baby number two being lifted out a moment later. "Okay. Here is number two. He looks great as well. Sirius, you hold on for me. I'm guessing we have plenty of time but I don't want any more surprises. I want to do the tubal ligation we talked about since we did do the C-section."
"I'm good. Take your time and do it right," Sirius said, straightening back up. "We don't want any surprises down the road."
The nurse brought over the first baby while the second one was getting cleaned up. "Here is your son. I'm going to hold him for you in case you have another contraction."
"Oh," Sirius said softly, touching the tiny red face of his first son. "Gio, look at him."

Gio blinked his eyes open, having fallen into a light sleep as everyone worked around him "Mmm... Baby!" Gio said with a giggle, a wide smile splitting his lips "Hey baby boy! I'm your daddy..." Gio looked to Sirius and laughed "And that's your daddy... You've got two daddies!" Gio was definitely still feeling high from the drugs coursing through him.
Gio kissed a little hand as the nurse brought him down a little lower "He's so beautiful. He looks like you, Sirius... Then again..." Gio giggled and shook his head "I guess all four of them are going to look like you... Those genetics are hard to shatter with anything."

"Usually yes," Sirius said, still stroking the baby's cheek. "Calla and all of the triplets look like Sidney though. So maybe one set of twins will look like you."
Another nurse brought over the second baby. This one hadn't cried nearly as much and was much less red, his eyes open and looking around. "Here is baby number two. He looks good as well."
"Hello," Sirius said, touching his face now. "You both are so gorgeous. Gio, look at this one... ugh." He clutched his belly, face screwing up. "Water just broke. Marc."

Marc laughed "Perfect timing then. I just finished up with the tubal." Marc said as he drew the sheet down over Gio's lower regions and turned to one of his attending physicians "If you could kindly close up the C-Section incisions and get Mr. Aetós to the recovery unit... I have another set of twins to deliver today." Marc said as he pulled off his gloves and walked over to where Gio and Sirius were at. "Say goodbye to your fiancé, Sirius... Might be a few hours before you see each other again."
Gio whined loudly and grasped onto the side of Sirius' face, pulling him closer and tugging the mask down "I love you, I love you, I love you." Gio murmured, pressing several kisses to Sirius' lips as tears started welling in his eyes "You're going to do great, baby. You just remember to breath and yell at Silas as much as you want... He has no choice but to take it today."

"I love you so much," Sirius said, kissing him back just as frantically. "I'll see you soon. You did so good. Our babies are so beautiful. I love you."
The nurse pulled the wheelchair away, Marc following them. Sirius turned in the chair to watch Gio who was looking at the babies again. He felt tears prick his eyes at the fact he was leaving them behind.
"Marc, you'll bring him in my room as soon as you can, right? He wants to be there. I know the timing is awful, but I need him with me."

Marc nodded and squeezed Sirius's shoulder comfortingly "As soon as he's out of recovery, we'll have you two in the same room again. I don't want you holding back on pushing though, even if he's not there to be with you through the birth; you hold back on me and I'll make sure he knows about it, or I'll sic Momma Julia on you." Marc threatened light-heartedly.
As Sirius was pushed into the delivery room, Silas was already there and wearing a pair of scrubs himself. Silas smiled at his brother and came over to help him out of the wheelchair and onto the bed "I will be here, all the way, Sirius. Marc already knows what not to show me and what to say or not say so I do not pass out on you... We will get you through this."

Sirius sighed heavily and shifted on the bed, trying to get his wet pants off with the nurse's help. Silas helped as well, stripping Sirius out of his clothing and getting him into a gown without flashing anyone. He groaned lowly and breathed through another contraction as Marc got his legs in the stirrups to check his progress.
Marc ducked beneath the sheet, gloves on. "Just relax for me. There we go." He came back out and helped Sirius put his legs back down. "So you're at 4 centimeters right now. Which means it's going to take a little time. We can do an epidural when you get to 5 if you want. I'd recommend going the easy way and take the epidural."

Silas grimaced and looked over at his twin brother "I recommend it too..." He rubbed his stomach as memories of his own child birth crept up on him "You are lucky to get the choice..."

Sirius rubbed his belly and nodded. "This was easier when I was 18. I'll take the epidural." He grabbed the side of the bed and turned onto his side, facing Silas. "The first two babies are perfect. And Gio is doing well. Marc said he'll bring him in here as soon as he can." He let out another low groan and grasped Silas's hand.

Silas held onto Sirius's hand and crouched down so they were eye-level, his movements still rather fluid and graceful even for his age "Yeah well, you were eighteen... You were young and recovered quicker." Silas said quietly, reaching through the holes of the bedrail and gently rubbing his thumb over his brother's brow "They know what they're doing here, though, so you'll be alright and you'll get through this delivery too."
A smile graced his face when told about Gio and the first set of twins "That's great. I'm sure that Gio was a very happy boy to hear that his little ones made it into the world perfectly happy and healthy, even if a month early." Silas said quietly "And I know you wish it were him in here, and not me... I wish that it could be him, too... This is such an important day for all of you... all six of you."

Sirius nodded and closed his eyes, leaning into his brother's touch. He only had to get one centimeter more to get the epidural. He could do it.
It still seemed like hours before Marc checked him again and said that he had made it to five centimeters dilated and called for the anesthesiologist. Sirius was sweating now, his hair matted to his forehead. It had only been an hour. Julia had stopped in after seeing Gio who was sleeping in the recovery room. The twins were in the nursery since Sirius was also in labor.
Sirius needed Silas to move him into position and hold him steady, shaking a little as the anesthesiologist worked. "Si... fuck. Never again. No more babies after this."

Silas laughed and pushed the bed rail down once the anesthesiologist finished, he pulled a chair close and sat down, pressing his forehead against his brother's and gently rubbing his arm up and down "I don't think Gio wants anymore after this either... So, looks like you'll get your wish." Silas said quietly "I think four babies is more than enough for you and Gio to handle - just think though, you're lucky that they are all being born on the same day..."
Sirius gave him a quizzical look and Silas sighed loudly "Had Gio made it to his delivery date a month and three days from now, you would have both been overly exhausted because you would have been taking care of Baby A & B already." Silas explained patiently and quietly, hand still moving soothingly across his brother's bicep "The fact that you two went into labor on the same day? You'll be exhausted, sure, but you won't be exhausted and trying to give birth or help give birth to two more."
"Plus, not to mention... Now you won't have to have two separate birthday's for either set of twins - you can just have it all on one day now."

"That's true," Sirius said as he relaxed against the bed. The epidural was kicking in and he couldn't feel anything below his chest now. "Oh this is wonderful now. I can't feel a thing."
Sirius patted his brother's hand, squeezing it gently. "I'm really glad you are here. Even if Gio was here, I would want you here as well. It means an lot to me that you're going to be a part of this. That even when we were still having problems we still had a relationship for your children and now we will have our families together."

Silas smiled and squeezed his brother's hand back lightly "I am sure we would have fixed our problems, sooner or later..." Silas said quietly "If Gio and Sidney did not force us into a room together, basically... We would have come around eventually. They just sped up the process for the better."
"And now we will just have four more birthday parties to celebrate. Momma would be proud of us, Sirius, for extending the family the way we have - No one has ever gone beyond those first twins, really... Some have, but not many enough."

"I wish she was here," Sirius admitted. "Her and Papa. They would have loved being grandparents. Julia isn't going to be able to stay forever so I hope Sidney's parents are ready to step in and act as grandparents for four more kids."
Sirius yawned and rolled his head against the pillow. "God, I'm tired. Do you think it is okay if I nap?"
"That's a great idea," Marc said as he came back into the room. "Nap for awhile. Pushing out two babies can take some time. I'd say ask Silas, but he passed out when Sidney had the twins."

Silas stuck his tongue out at Marc "I also passed out when I had the triplets so..." He shrugged his shoulders and turned back to look at Sirius, running his fingers through Sirius' hair lightly "I don't think you have to worry about Julia... She's already making noise about looking for a place to live, I think she may be considering uprooting her entire family as well, to come here..."
"That will just add more baby sitters to the pile, so we're not relying on Marc and Kris's oldest kids to watch all of ours... Gio has quite a few siblings."
Marc snorted as he checked over Sirius' vitals and the contraction monitor "My kids would be so thrilled to find out they didn't have to babysit all the time... Besides, Titan and Theo are getting older as well, close to babysitting age..."

Sirius chuckled at that, closing his eyes. "They're still a little young to babysit. We'll have to come up with something else until they're a little older. Looks like your kids aren't off the hook yet, Marc."
"Lucky them. Pay as well as Silas and Sid and you might have a deal," Marc sat down as well, kicking his feet up on the edge of the bed. "Now go to sleep. I want a nap myself. Silas, I don't care if you sleep or not, but don't wake me up unless he needs to push or the epidural stops working."

Silas sighed and stood up, "Well, if you two are going to take a nap... I'm going to go and check on my nephews, check on Gio... Call Sidney and check on Julia..." Silas said as he walked out of the room, squeezing Sirius and then Marc's shoulders on the way out.
First he headed into the waiting room and spotted Julia sitting in the corner and talking on the phone in Greek - immediately he knew that Julia was talking to family at home "How's it going in here?" Silas asked quietly, sitting down beside Julian in the chairs.

"Good," Julia said, still talking in Greek since Silas could speak it as well. "Gio is still sleeping and the babies have both eaten and gotten their first baths. Did Sirius and Gio tell you their names? I know they are C & D but I am not sure which one goes with which name."
Julia patted Silas's arm. "How is Sirius?"
