Andy went back to his reading... He had much to learn. After an hour or so he went to his bag and started to tinker around with the things he had brought, struggling to remember the little details from engineering school. He had scribbled out several formulae and equations and there were things circled or crossed out all over the piece of paper he was writing on. He built his prototype which took several more hours, and began to inspect it for errors after gingerly giving it power. From what little he could observe without the artifact in use, it appeared to be working... The next step was to try it out...

Andy went and picked up the artifact, the pressure returning immediately as he approached it. He set it on the pedestal in the center of the room and waddled over to switch the power to the pedestal on. He set it to the first frequency, and suddenly, the eyes on the artifact began to glow a light but dim blue. Andy smiled widely, failing to notice that the pressure had returned, even though he was far away. Sean might have even been able to feel it from the shower.

Realizing what was happening, Andy quickly shut off the power. "Whoops" he muttered to himself. He fiddled with a few parts and wrote out the changes he made, and then slowly re-applied the power, this time a red glow gently eminating from the strange object. It felt like nothing was happening... except that he felt less overall pressure, as if his burdensome belly was somehow lighter than it was before.

Andy turned off the power again and scribbled a few things down. He tried one more frequency, and a green light shone from the eyes of the artifact. He felt his belly squirm and move, as he realized that whatever babies were in there were going crazy! What luck, he thought to himself. He decided to leave this one on for a while... He was at no risk, and it felt good.

Andy wrote down a few more notes and organized the mess, and then sat on his bed enjoying his belly and feeling it move.

Andy blushed, trying to contain his embarrassment that the belly rub was in fact, making him feel more comfortable.
