Victor hated that he had unconditional love for the girls, he hated that the had ended up trapped again with Caesar over him, finally at the altar. He couldn't smile and wouldn't give the young man the benefit even if he could, when he sank to his knees he sobbed softly while he faced the floor he couldn't help the stream of tears that came down his cheeks. It was torture to go through the ceremony and he wanted to collapse into a heap right there or kick and scream. Maybe he would be checked into a mental facility, that would get people wondering about him and his 'husband'.

They had exchanged their vows, and the guests in thr front row could hear the sobbing in Victor's voice, some mumbling started among themselves. Caesar, after the pastor had announced thrm as husband and husband, permitting them to kiss rach other, pulled Victor close and spoke at a volume audible to the guests. "Love, dont cry. You promised me not to get sad over the tragedy ever again. Our children will be missed but we would eventually get them more siblings and they would look over us from heaven, blessing us." He subtly squeeze on tught on Victor's.waist that was much too narrow under his suit, wiping his tears away with his thumb gently even though there's threat in his words.

He couldn't help gritting his teeth,"Fuck you."He whispered through his teeth when he was gripped onto and turning his face away from his touch when he moved to wipe his tears. Victor looked down to the floor beneath his knees as they knelt still before the altar, he had stopped crying and held a deep seeded hatred in his eyes while he looked at the other. "Are we done here?"

"You heard it yourself, you can kiss each other. So unless you cooperate, the babies that you crave to see so much, waiting at the back will go straight back to your father's house." Caesar threatened, he looked dead serious into Victor's eyes.

Victor couldn't help his wandering eyes when they've sat at the foot of the priest for too long now, the guests waiting anxiously for the kiss. He stared at him until the very last possible moment then leaned in slightly to kiss him once, barely on the lips.

Caesar wouldnt allow for just a soft kiss, he pressed down his head and deepened it, sucking strong on Victor's reluctant tongue until the soldier moaned a bit. Caesar thought faintly to himself that this could be their first kiss. On their first night together the soldier had been very insistent on taking him on all fours, then afterwards he simply withdrawn into the toilet, and then all the good timing for a kiss was gone. He heard the thundeirng applause and clapping from the guests and smiled wholeheartedly for the first time of the day.

Victor tugged away from the kiss when he was taken so forcefully and bit hard on Caesar's lip so it would bleed and scar. As they parted from the kiss finally, looking away and licking the droplet of blood up, he didn't look happy still and he didn't try either as he looked towards the back of the crowd. Hoping that he could catch even a glimpse of his girls.

Caesar got close to Victor and said "our marriage is sealed now. However hard you fight, whatever hurt you inflict on me, I wouldnt give you up. Not even when you draw blood, not evem when you shove me away, not ever. I would rather we die together or live separate." With that he stood up tugging Victor with him, thr soldier had been weakenrd by the ordeal and the drug from the previous day and caesar could manipulate him better physically. He clutched on tight of Victor's hand and raised it up high, light from above shone on their rings, making them sparkle and all guwsts cheered and applauded on. "Now we will get to your reward, just walk with me out the church, keep your eyes to the floor if you couldnt conjure up a smile."

Victor looked at him with piercing eyes,"Don't feel safe then. Don't ever feel safe."He breathed cooly in reply, he stared at him a second more before he was hauled to his feet, getting lightheaded at the sudden movement. Though he stood beside Caesar, despite being shorter than the younger man, he stood as tall as he could manage. Just to spite him he pressed his lips together and kept his eyes up, he was still a soldier even with his show of weakness earlier. He could keep himself together now. He dropped his hand by his side even when it was still enclosed by Caesar's and looked over the faces of all the nïeve people who took up the congregation as they walked through them on the center aisle.

Caesar bit his lips together as well, sighing in his heart upon hearing the indignant reply of Victor. Their lives were now tied together eternally, for better or for worse just like what the pastor had just said.
The walk out of the church had been a fuss between the cheerings and the death squeeze on his hand, and they eventually got out and entered into the carriage under confettis, and they rode along under the gazes of guests. Their carriage, however, did not go for their honeymoon destination as was publicly released, instead it turned around at a discreet corner to retuen to the church where the twins were.

Victor was silent as he walked beside Caesar, he felt the ring on his hand and it wasn't a wonderful thought how he used to think about marriage, the older man seemed miserable even more so now as he stepped into the carriage. He looked down at his hand then up at his...his... Caesar and asked,"How long are we going to have before we have to make our train?"He sat up some as the horses slowed, the butler opened the door and he stepped out, he took a glance around and smoothed his hair as he unbuttoned his tuxedo jacket.

Caesar looked at Victor and was quite attracted by him. Victor had looked old and stern beforr, always in his uniform. Now with his hair ruffled and his sad look, he thought he was quite attractive. His voice became gentler with this thought and he spoke quietly. "You have 1 hour." He said that and went into tje house, quickly giving orders to the butler to alert the wetnurses. He had given orders for them to prepare the twins for visitors. He quickly strode into the temperoray nursery and opened the door in front of Victor. "There you go." He used his left ring, the stone was shining, the whiteness of the band contrasting nicely with the yellow doorknob.

Victor felt as if he was all empty threats and broken promises, he had become more of a man he didn't recognise for himself. One hour wasn't enough for him. The soldier followed after Caesar with the same level of briskness in his pace. He was antsy when he opened the door, it felt like time was moving through a type of syrup, it was too slow for him and he couldn't do much about it. Victor stopped in the doorway when he saw the woman who had been assigned as his children's wet nurse. He didn't know what to do for a few moments before coming closer, he heard them as they whined some- or one of them did at least. They looked uncomfortable in the frilly pink and white dresses they were put in and he couldn't help but smile at them. As more tears found a way to come to his eyes,"You're so big... Look at you..."

Caesar saw how Victor was clueless in handling babies, shoot out to lift up a baby and put her into Victor's arms before he could respond. He put her into his arms gently, shifting his rigid hands so that the baby can rest well. "Here put your hand under her little butt, relax, she would feel how stiff you are and no babies enjoy lying in a piece of hard wood. Here, relax your shoulder. Trust me I have handled enough baby cousins in my life I know how to deal with them. And for your information, this is the smaller twin with a slightly longer chin." He adjusted Victor's posture a bit to get him relax a little more. "Enjoy your time with your babies. They are now technically your sisters. Just disregard me."

Victor looked more comfortable with the way Caesar explained it all to him, he relaxed and started looking less of a soldier and more like a father. As he held his oldest girl, the one he hadn't had a chance to get a good look at, well the one he had been forced to neglect when he was giving birth to her sister. "I'm sorry."He whispered softly, his eyes closing for a moment as he lifted her and pressed his nose against her forehead gently before kissing the space between her eyebrows. Victor carefully took the youngest twin as well and moved to sit down in a rocking chair close to the window as he looked down at them. ,"You both are so pretty..."

Caesar retreated to the back of the room, hidden under the shadow of the curtain. He had lost his mother at age 9, not quite old enough to hold onto her memory, and he had missed her immensely since then, even though all he could remember was the face from an old photo of her holding him in her arms, his father standing beside, all 3 looking quite happily into the camera. He had matured fast aftwrwards, graduating from the military school at a record breaking 20 years of age. Many had accused that to be a result from the governor's intervention, and he didnt bother to clarify, but he knew that wasnt the truth. In fact the principal of the school held a secret grudge towards his father and he had suffered, but in the end he still proved himself with his own hardwork.
Looking at Victor from afar, he found himself desperately wanted that to be his daughter instead of being some bastard of his husband's. He knew Victor would be a loving and great father, just that he didnt know if there would ever be a day where Victpr would be willing to carry his child, children, for him. He got lost in his own thought in the corner, watching the interaction between father and daughter silently.

It was a suffering struggle to keep his attention focused on them, he didn't want the hour to end and it went by almost too quickly for him to appreciate it. As Victor smiled softly at his girls, his arms were full and his heart was swollen in his throat from pride and fear of losing them again. He held them carefully, looking up at Caesar slightly to see the look on his face, he knew the look quite well. Longing.
The wet nurse came swiftly to take the children away when the grandfather clock struck for the hour and he almost looked distraught. As his girls were removed from his hands once more and he only struggled slightly, knowing full well it was a battle he couldn't win. He looked on after the woman as she took the sleeping twins out of the room and bit his lip as his throat constricted. Though he refused to cry again.

Caesar turned away and cleared his throat. He was reminded too much of how his mother looked on her deathbed. That longing and reluctance to let go. The face of his mother had blurred, time ahd been very effective in erasing memory, but thay longing and sadness never lost their intensity. He bit on tight on the inner part of his mouth, trying hard not to expose what he was thinking. He looked up to the ceiling to force those tears back before he could start composing himself to face his... husband.
"Hem... let's" his voice was more croaked than he thought, and he had to clear his voice again. "Let's go now. We have a tight schedule to catch." He avoided looking at Victor and quickly strode out of the room.

Victor wasn't sure if Caesar was on the brink of crying, though he was gone to quickly for him to check for evidence on his face. He was still recovering from the birth of both girls with how much he had been neglecting to do for himself it wasn't a surprise. As he moved to push himself up to his feet in the empty room, he smoothed his tux down in some places again then moved towards the door. He followed in his...in Caesar's footsteps until he was outside and back inside the carriage.

Caesar had already seated in the carriage, a much morr beautiful and decorated one, much larger than the one Victor almost gave birth in. He sat with his head in his palm, looking out of thr window. He only glanced at Victor a bit when he ascended the carriage, noticing a bit of how his motion was stiff. He sighed inwardly for Victor to treat himself so bad he had weakened so much, but cntinued to look out the window, not wanting anything to betray his previous moment of weakness.
