Logan was a good sport about it all at least, even if it was uncomfortable. He took the tissue and wiped the gel away. He knew enough to know what was coming next, and he didn't like it. But he didn't argue. Logan soon found himself laying back with his feet in the stirrups while the doctor poked and prodded at him. He dealt with it, although it was uncomfortable and he didn't really like it. Logan was glad they were only doing this once. he didn't want to repeat the process.

Despite Logan's brilliant acting skill, Ben knew him enought o know he was in quite a lot of discomfort to be showing that hardened face. Ben took Logan's hand and saw him bite his lower lip a little harder when the doctor apparently hurted him. He wanted to tell the doctor to take it easy, but Logan was acting strong, and he wasn't sure if that was necessary, so he kept his mouth shut while the doctor continued to probe.
"your condition is tolerable. plans for birth? a caesarian would cost you a fortune." the doctor looked at them with a hidden sneer. "but if you are opting for natural, be prepared for extra difficulty. Males' bodies aren't built for this, even though your pelvis isn't the tightest of them all, you would still be in for a long labor." she said, not at all comfortig as she continued to scribble on her board.

Logan looked at her, almost glaring for a moment. Was she getting joy out of trying to frighten him? He shrugged it off. "I don't know, we hadn't thought about it much I don't want a caesarian anyway." No way, no one was coming close to him with a knife like that. He wouldn't allow it. He had always figured it was an option but he didn't want it. After hearing it would be difficult, he wasn't so sure about the home birth he had brought up to ben but in the end he still hated hospitals. Perhaps that would end up being a better idea. Better than being poked and prodded for a few hours.

There was no furhter instruction from the doctor, so Ben went over to free Logan from the awkward position on the examination table. The doctor just galnced at him and didnt' make comments,. Ben was getting increasingly irritated as well, this entire expereince had been so uncomfortable. He didn't want ot stay here any longer - and he in fact started regretting forcing Logan here.
"fair enough. if you want a natural keep the clinic posted. There are exercises available, but you are a little too late to prepare for that. The baby should arrive within the month." There was a hidden note of accusation for them to be careless in not coming earlier. "anyway, i don't see any reason for real concern. We are done now." she said, already moving on to the door despite Logan still only halfway dressed, his belly still exposed and his pants tugged low for the ultrasound just now.

Logan wanted to ask her why she had a problem with them. It wasn't there fault they had been raised in a homophobic town. After coming here they hadn't know what doctor would be good. It wasn't their fault, yet Logan kept quiet, he shoved his protests away as Ben helped him off the bed. "ready? He asked fixing his pants as they headed out the door.
As the month continued on his belly only seemed to grow, not much, but enough. Logan was uncomfortable almost all the time now. But at last, it seemed like the baby had dropped, or at least it was sitting much lower then before.

One of the exercises they were told to keep up with was to walk. walking would be a mild form of exercise that, despite the grinding on Logan's battered hips, would open it up as well to allow for a slightly easier passage of the baby. They were also told to do some hip opening exercises involving deep squats and stretching.
Ben tried to stay home for as long as he could. Logan had been growing much towards these last few weeks. The baby dropping down allowed for more room for logan to eat, and those extra nutrients seemed all went to the baby. Ben also noted Logan had to hit the toilet quite often, but with the baby so low, he needed more help than before in moving around.
It was another round of deep squat, and almost after each of it, Logan was unable to push himself back up all the way. Ben came in to pull him up, noting Logan's wince when that movement forced his hips to widen.

Logan stood back up before sitting on the side of the bed pressing a hand to the lower part of his back. He was ready to be done with all of this, he shifted slightly trying to get comfortable, as much as he could be. in response, his body produced a cramp causing him to wince. This had been happening on and off for weeks, it was nothing new but it was uncomfortable and he shifted again pressing a hand to the side of his belly until it passed. His attention turned to ben, he knew the boy worried and he gave him a small smile trying to convince him that everything was fine.

Ben tried to return the smile but it felt forced. he witnessed how the cramp caused Logan to tesne up entirely, and how his face paled at the intensity of it. Ben sat down at the end of the bed, taking Logan's feet into his lap and started rubbing. "the swelling is quite serious today, isn't it? feeling any other pain?" Ben asked with worry rich in his voice. these swellings usually died down a little after the deep squat exercises, where his calf muscles were used and encouraged ciruclation, but it didn't look like it today.

"My back, my hips." Logan leaned back on the bed one hand resting on his belly as he tried to relax. He could tell Ben's expression was forced "I'm alright." He said softly. "Honestly, I'm ok. Just sore, and tired." Logan closed his eyes, he didn't expect to fall asleep but the rest was welcomed.

Ben was so focused on kneading the swollen feet, he would only notice logan had fallen back asleep when the light snoring was heard. He smield at his mate, letting him sleep. He needed all the rest he could, these days he could no longer sleep through the night with the babyso big and everywhere so sore, he knew his boyfriend was dog tired. he would change to the other feet and continue with his kneads, hoping to relieve some of his aches.
He moved Logan gently down to lay on his side, then rubbed his hips, his thighs, and also rubbed some more lotion onto his bump. They were at the last phase, he just hoped it wouldn't be too hard on Logan when the time really came.

For awhileLogan remained asleep, he would awake a few hours later he awoke to a pain in his side. In his tired state, he couldn't help but let out a groan, the muscles around his belly tightened and he girt his teeth. The pain didn't last to long and he was abel to relax. Logan sat up trying to go back to sleep but he was up now and so with a bit of effort logan headed down stairs

Ben was downstaris sorting through the little clothings they had bought for their baby. he had also made a bit of soup for dinner. it was late afternoon and the sun was setting soon. He looked up hearing footsteps, and smiled brightly at his boyfriend. "hey.... how you doin." he said and smiled. that used to be what he always say to Logan when he went to meet him up at the workshop - Logan's father's workshop.

Logan smiled back. "Alright. That's probably the most sleep I've had in awhile." he smiled stepping into the kitchen to get some water he returned with the glass and took a seat next to Ben. "Whatcha doing? he asked carefully looking at the clothes they had bought. Logan leaned his head on Ben's shoulder as uncomfortable as he was, he as still happy to be close to Ben.

"i'm folding up these clothes and marvelling over how tiny they are." Ben raised up one tiny onsie that looked too adorable to be for real people. He could fit it in one palm almost. "look at how small that is..." he whispered, then placed it onto Logan's belly. "i am having a difficult time imagining this belly is actually caused by such a tiny being." he chuckled looking at Logan, wrapping him up with an arm, squeezed him tight.
(oh is it we didn't find out about the gender HAHA)

Logan smiled. "Yeah, you and me both." He joked leaning into Ben. The clothes really were cute Logan looked them over. It was just a few but they were perfect. He had the feeling that Ben was going to have fun playing dress up. They were still looking over the clothes awhile later when another cramp overtook him. He shifted slightly sill leaning on Ben tensing up until it passed.

"cramps?" Ben waited until the tense up was over before asking. "should we start timing them?" since they returned from the clinic, both of them agreed that they wouldn't want to visit that dreadful place again, reinforcing their deicision of opting for a home birth. They have started timing whatever contraction, but so far all of them have been false alarms and they die down pretty quickly by itself.

Ben nodded "yeah." I think that would be a good idea." he said softly. He had relaxed again smiling as he felt the baby cock softly under his hand. Logan figured it would be good to time them although he wasn't sure yet if this was the real thing.
About 30 min would pass the two hanging out looking over 4th e clothes before Logan felt the next one. It caused him to pause and tense up letting out a quiet groan until it finally died away. At the very least, it was certainly much stronger then normal.

Ben held his breath when he sensed it was a contraction returning. he started the timer again, noting the interval from the last one, and sat there with Logan, looking at his boyfriend with half fear, half awe, as they waited for it to pass.
"you ok?" Ben had fetched a cup of water for Logan. He thought he could replenish as much as he could even though his boyfriend sometimes refused it for it increased further his need to head to the tiolet. "that's 30 minutes from the last one...." he reported, letting Logan know and hug him sideways.

Logan nodded slowly relaxing again. "I'm alright," he said softly taking the glass of water and sipping it for a few moments.Logan smiled lightly he stayed there for a bit before standing up, with a bit of help, he was getting tired of sitting, he felt restless despite still being tired.

Ben helped and Logan was waddling across the room. He let his boyfriend deal with it, cautious of the vontractions, and waited. They were a few days ahead of their due date, but it wasnt that accurate an estimate anyway, and Logan had grown pretty big. Ben had no worries really if the baby decided to come out a few days earlier - perhaps that could save Logan from a bit of trouble since the baby wouldnt be growing to become too big.
