Forum Appearance? - Otaku_Oneesan - 10-26-2023

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if it's a program I'm running interfering with the forum. I turned off all my extensions and any ad blockers to make sure they were not to blame and it still looks the same.

Currently, the attachment I included is how I see the site, which is very different from how it was and looks more like the forum graphics are gone. I have been busy so I haven't been able to be very active here and it may just be an aesthetic choice but if everyone else is seeing the forum this way let me know.

RE: Forum Appearance? - Ne0281 - 10-27-2023

Yes I notice it too. I thought it was just me

RE: Forum Appearance? - Chausk - 10-27-2023

Yeah, same here. It's pretty annoying.

RE: Forum Appearance? - FlowersInTheWindow - 11-19-2023

Could someone ping one of the mods to see the issue and try to fix it?

RE: Forum Appearance? - contractingorb - 11-19-2023

Yes, it makes the forum pretty much unusable. Certainly un-browsable.

Yes, I have to agree, very akin to those simple HTML sites from 90s (even then, some sites from that era are still usable)

Can anyone DM the programmers and mods to fix this?

RE: Forum Appearance? - freakerxx - 11-26-2023

It is unfortunately the same for me. I couldn't even browse the site on my phone's browser because everything is squished and it got so confusing for me. I thought it was some problem with my phone but now that I'm on my pc, it's still the same. ?

RE: Forum Appearance? - redone2002 - 11-27-2023

If I access the site on my phone, it comes up clear, but I'm getting this half-loaded appearance too.

Looks like a theme error, the cache may need to be deleted or there might be some error in the board URL, I notice that at least in my search bar it has dropped the https:// for the site which generally can cause theme errors like this. Beyond that I don't know, an incorrect image directory or even just some kind of standard "Oops, someone accidentally tweaked the code and now it's not showing correctly" thing could be going on. *Shrugs.* There's a lot of ways theme errors can happen, I just hope one of the mods eventually takes notice and the issue can be resolved.

RE: Forum Appearance? - Belly Button - 12-10-2023

I now have the same problem (it seems to have been a bit of a delayed effect for me, weirdly...) and I've had the same issue for almost a week, now.

The usual website backgrounds and graphics have gone (barring the Mpreg Central logo in the top left) and the font on posts has all changed to the classic Times New Roman. With the way it's currently laid out, posts aren't that easy to read.

I honestly thought it was an issue which would have been picked-up on by the moderators at this point and I'm a little surprised this issue continues. I only hope it gets resolved soon and it's not going to be a longer-term issue.

RE: Forum Appearance? - FlowersInTheWindow - 12-12-2023

Is there anyway to contact the mods or site owner? Like could you PM them in some form?

RE: Forum Appearance? - Foxhill - 12-15-2023

The most likely explanation is that the site is set to use https, but the paths used for the theme assets are probably hard coded to use http.

RE: Forum Appearance? - Belly Button - 12-18-2023

Unfortunately I'm not very technically minded so I don't know what's happened in this case. Sadly, I have no contact details for the site owner(s) or any moderator on this forum.

Foxhill's comment above does give us all some hope though with regards to the https business. Out of curiosity, I've just manually deleted the 's' from this and reloaded... Low and behold, the 'proper' layout of the forum with the graphics returns. It appears to be a way around it for now at least. Thank you for bringing that up.

Obviously I hope to be proven wrong here, but I've just got a horrible feeling we may be getting 'slowly abandoned' on here... Of course we all have our own lives to lead away from here and by no means did I expect this to be fixed in an instant - but this has been going on for quite some time now. It does have me a bit worried.

Deleting the s from the http does appear to be the current workaround for anyone interested so I believe Foxhill may correct on where the issue is. It is unfortunate it has continued this long, however, I used to manage forums and I know how life can sometimes get in the way but for as long as I had dedicated members I did make sure I had active mods keeping things going for me or I turned the forum over to someone with the ability and interest in managing it and stepped back so they could in my place. I really do hope this site won't just be abandoned by the mods because it is a haven for a lot of people and still active enough to merit keeping it going.

RE: Forum Appearance? - AMalePregnancyWorld - 12-28-2023

If anyone has any site issues, you can hit me up on Discord or here on the forums. I'll try to figure out how to fix this, but I am in no ways a savvy or HTML Editor. But I'll try to do some Google-Fu and see what is going on.

RE: Forum Appearance? - redone2002 - 12-29-2023

I started removing the s from http and it seemed to work. Now, everything seems to be back to normal and I don't need to remove the s. Anyone else getting the full site now?

RE: Forum Appearance? - Klayko - 12-29-2023

As FlowersIntheWindow shared, if there’s a problem you all are experiencing, please do not hesitate to contact both the Mods and Administration. There are many things we can overlook and if we haven’t responded for days, weeks, etc., Nine times out of ten, we haven’t seen this discussion and need to be contacted.

That being said, we did discover that the main page is secured (HTTPS) while the Forums itself is not (HTTP). This means that for some, your computers/devices are preventing you from going into the forums because the secure link is taking you to an unsecured page. A simple fix is removing the S, of course, but we’re working to actually make these forums Secured so that others can access this fully.

UPDATE: The forums are now secured thanks to Mprego2 and PregnantwithTwins. For some, it’s still in rotation at the moment (Your Web Browsers like Google, Firefox and so forth have to go through their personal refresh to now reflect that change), which means it might show Not Secured for a little while. Be patient is all I can advise as it should be set to HTTPS in the next set of days for those having those issues.

If you are eager to get in sooner, click this link https://mpregcentral.net/forums/

It will force update the Forums to the correct HTTPS setting while waiting on the Browser sites to fix it on their end

RE: Forum Appearance? - redone2002 - 06-20-2024

It's doing it again! Someone needs to get on it.

RE: Forum Appearance? - lins - 06-20-2024

When clicking the link it gives me an error message

This worked for a good while but now it seems the site's appearance is back to what it was in the image I shared. It's starting to seem it may be more than just an issue of it being secured or not.
