Spambot Concern - Lyric - 02-10-2014
Hello everyone,
Within the past couple of months we've recently had an uptick in the amount of spambots registering on our boards and leaving spam all over the place. I've done a few things on my end help cull their spam such as change the way users register, and I've now instated a 60 second flood limit that users must wait between posts. Once the spambots move on (if they ever do) I'll change it back to zero.
If the spambot problem persists I may have to switch registration over to manual activation, which requires a little more work on my part. If I choose to do this I will make another announcement.
In the meantime, please keep reporting spam via the "Report" button on the bottom right of any post and it will be taken care of (no need to send PMs to the moderators).
