Delas said nothing, but continued to cry until he fell asleep.

Wyn and Cormac soon went to sleep as well.

The next morning, everyone was in a frenzy as they dressed for the wedding. Astien was in his quarters, preparing himself with a bit of help from I'Karis, Loke, and Cormac. "Gods, I look terrible. Just awful." He moaned.

"You look fine," I'Karis assured him. "Now let me wash your hair. I still have to go wash your husband's, and his is going to take a lot longer than yours."

(Off to work)

Wyn and Cormac had already made their way to the park and were making sure everything was being set up properly.

Meanwhile Marius' mother and sisters were scrubbing him down and washing and brushing out his hair.
"Geeze! When was the last time you took your braids out?" Juniper huffed as she pulled the comb free.
"Do you really want to know?" Willow teased. "Don't worry Marius, we'll take care of this. Kida, can you go get some of those ribbons and beads we brought?" The little girl nodded and ran off to come back with a large, wooden jewelry box.

I'Karis sat Astien in a small tub and was scrubbing his hair. "At least you take good care of your hair. Washing Anaru's is like pulling teeth. And your husband's doesn't look like it's going to be any easier."

Loke chuckled. "That sounds like it would be fun to watch, actually." His face went pale suddenly, and in a moment he was hanging out the window and throwing up.

"Loke, you've been vomiting since you got here." Astien said concernedly. His eyes went wide as a wave of realization washed over him. "Are you...?"

Loke smiled. "Yes, I'm pregnant again. But pay it no mind, this day is about you."
Astien smiled at his friend. "Congratulations."

After a lengthy battle with Marius' hair Juniper and Willow finished washing it and began the process of braiding ribbons and beads into his hair.

Siran entered the room with a small pail of rose petals, and dumped them into Astien's bath. His eyes looked with Loke's for a moment, a small argument happening in those few seconds, and he turned his attention back to Astien. "This will make you smell like a dream. I take rose petal baths all the time."

"I guess that explains why you always smell so nice." Astien said. Vincent came in at that moment and began helping to wash Astien.

"We'll have you looking like the dream groom any man would die for." The vampire said.

"So are you nervous little brother?" Juniper teased.
"A little," Marius chuckled. "But everything's going to be great."
"That's the spirit," Willow said.

"Gods, I'm so nervous. I think Aiden is too." Astien said as he cradled his largeness, feeling his son turn and kick inside of him. "I feel like my stomach's full of butterflies.

"I doubt there's room for anything else in there." Loke snickered.

Vincent began combing Astien's hair, effectively pushing I'Karis out of the way. The elf relented and helped Siran scrub the pregnant man's body. None of them dared touch his belly, though. They left that for him.

Once the braids were completed Juniper and Willow scrubbed at Marius' body with fragrant salt scrubs. After they rinsed everything off, they began the dressing process.
"Here," Willow said as she handed Marius a long object that was carefully wrapped in linens.
Marius unwrapped it and found a polished sword. "This...This was the sword he..."
Willow nodded. "I want you to have it. I know it's smaller than what you usually wield..."
"No. No. It's fine." He carefully hung the sword from his belt, the polished gems and metals shimmering in the light.

Once Astien was done bathing, he was helped out of the tub, and Vincent helped him dry off and begin dressing. After he was all dressed, Vincent tied his hair back into a smal, short ponytail.

Siran wrapped a soft, thin, light blue scarf around his friend's shoulders, draping across his torso. "In nymphosian culture, we would drape these scarves across our torsos during our weddings, which would guard us from evil as we said our vows. Once you're done saying your vows, wrap one part of the scarf around your wrist, and the other around his. He will do the same with his scarf. It will be a physical manifestation of your bond together. After you've kissed, the bond becomes permanent and spiritual, and you can remove it. Drape it across his torso, as a promise that you'll protect him all your life. He'll do the same with his scarf, and by exchanging them, you symbolize that you give yourself to your spouse now and forever."

Siran walked out of the room and turned to say "I will give one to Marius so you can do this properly." He walked out, and made his way over to Marius' quarters with a similar scarf, one that was red.

"Gods I'm nervous," Marius muttered.
"You'll be fine," Willow said.

Siran knocked on the door and entered. He presented the scarf to Marius and explained the tradition to him. "My people are gone, but please, do this for me. If nothing else, I can keep a tradition or two alive."

"I'd be honored," Marius said.

Siran draped the scarf across Marius' torso, and bowed in appreciation. "I'll leave you to finish getting ready." He said, and we walked out.

Juniper touched up Marius' face with make up.
"We should start heading over," Willow said.
Marius nodded. "Yeah."

Vincent finished getting Astien into his clothes, and ran a tiny brush through his facial hair. "Good. You look wonderful. You smell wonderful. You're good to go."

Astien nodded. He took a gulp of water from a nearby jug, and took a deep breath. Siran escorted him outside.

Marius and his family arrived at the gardens a few minutes after Astien arrived.

Astien couldn't help but blush and smile at the sight of Marius.

Marius smiled as he blushed. He took a deep breath as everybody took their seats. "Ready?"
