"I'll take whatever bed you don't want." Luther replied.
Luther had spent the best part of 600 years living amongst humans, and knew that sometimes, the choices were better if they were made by someone else instead of himself.

Luther rushed towards Sean and yanked the idol out of his hands.
(Kydalians get pregnant via idols but their internal biology means that breast growth etc is not needed).
