I never used it much, but the chatbox was, I think, pretty wicked popular. While identical implementation may not be possible on the new site, there are freeware/open source options that can be integrated with myBB. (A quick search for "myBB chat widget" should turn them up.) It might be worth looking into.

Lyric and Mprego2 are actually already looking into it. I think it's just a matter of figuring out how to install it on the site. Last I heard, we're hoping to have one up soon :)

It's harder to implement it here. We definitely want to get a chatbox going but I'm not real sure when it'll happen.

My only concerns with a new chatbox is the strict rules around what you can chat about and how mods interpret you. I remember on the old site asking Luv if she wanted to chat. All I meant was genreal discussion / chit chat and I was banned from the chatbox for however long it was for trying to start an rp. (baring in mind I was new to the site at the time)

It put me off the entire idea completely but I hate waiting around for days for a reply from someone I message. So I posted a thread about my idea of a chat box here -http://mpregcentral.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=897&pid=8514#pid8514

Just thought i'd offer a suggestion as I have no idea how realistic it would be to do...

How about an Instant messaging box or some kind of notice to let each other know who's online and looking for an instant rp partner. The rp wouldn't take place in the IM on the site but it's a way to advertise what you're looking for when you're short on time instead of posting a thread and waiting hours/ days for a reply.

Also cuts down on the amount of 'nagging' messages to people 'hey wanna rp?' Only to find out they don't want to or that they're annoyed that you're th 5th person today to send th same message.

Hey guys! I am still trying to find goodies (including a good, reliable chatbox) to add to the website for a better, cooler, and more fun experience for members, however there are a lot of technical issues to be taken into consideration, plus I have to get it OK'd with Lyric.

So, just hang in there guys, I'm trying to find something good for you guys, but like Lyric has said already, we can make NO promises on anything, but your input is greatly useful to us, and I'll see what I can do! ^_^

I think the idea was scrapped. There's not a lot of good free options out there. Perhaps one of these days we'll get it up and running.

I've always just played on the fur affinity ITC. They have lots of wonderful pregnancy rooms. Only some might not like the idea of furries.

ok, so I believe having an official chat could be as simple as including a direct link to an IRC channel somewhere on this site's main page. this is possible by using mibbit.com's web IRC client.

for example, click here, pick a name and join:

note that upon pressing Go, it may take a moment for the chat interface to load in the browser despite the Welcome to Mibbit default dialog appearing

One idea that I've seen work well (although I am not quite sure of the host of this add-on) is Laura's Playground's chatroom (http://www.lauras-playground.com/chat.htm). It has sensor capabilities as well as required log-in names to register and chat rooms. This could be something on the main site, possibly even linked to our forum accounts? It's a lot to ask, but I can't deny I'm craving some mindless banter right about now. x_x

We could simply have a chatzy room, but in order to get moderation you do have to subscribe (it's 2-3 dollars a month, according to their site)
