Sweet! That's good to hear as to anyone who donated should be getting their perks shortly after the premiere!

Is this true? Do you know how soon after?

Well, the thing is, filmmakers are required to hold off on releasing their films until it premieres at a film festival, because film festivals have a thing about being the first to world premiere a project, bringing an audience to their showings. It is common practice for Indiegogo and Kickstarter films to be released to ONLY the contributors of the campaign immediately following the first festival premiere. I believe Matt has done this with his previous campaigns.

For everyone else (those who did NOT contribute to the campaigns), they will have to wait until the official release of the film, which appears to be in the fall.

Ahh thats excellent! I cannot wait! Is it at all possible to get some kind of confirmation about this though from the filmmakers? I'd really hate to get my hopes up about this.

Not that I dont trust you!! Just making sure I'm not counting my chickens.

You can ask Matt himself.

See, told you, once it premieres at the first festival all contributors will most likely be able to view it the next day, at the earliest that is. So all contributors are going to be receiving their perks very soon!

Also, I'm going to have to say this, to all contributors, do NOT post this anywhere online, this is an independent film and this film are the filmmakers' livelihood. As a filmmaker myself, I personally know how hard it is to not only raise funds for your films, but also making a return from them, cause in reality all film productions are high risk investments, so, for this film, no one will be allowed to post it anywhere on these forums. If you want to watch this movie, purchase it, support all the filmmakers involved in making this movie.

Does anyone know how I can purchase this movie? I'm not located in the USA and I'm thinking that it's rather impossible for me to get this because they'll probably give me a "It's not available in your country" kinda crap.

It will most likely be available as a digital copy, however, if you live outside the US, I would suggest asking the director, Matt, more about obtaining a copy.

His website address is http://www.mattriddlehoover.com and the film's website address is http://www.paternityleavefilm.com .

Hi everyone,

Dustin Tittle here, co-writer of Paternity Leave and Matt's husband. We do follow the forum and I wanted to address any questions you may have.

We're still working very hard on promotional stuff for the film, as the festival circuit is just starting up! As the email last night said, anyone who contributed to the film's production or post-production will receive a screener before the DVD comes out, but it will be later in the year, not immediately after the Nashville Film Festival as has been speculated. We're hoping for a fall release.

Anyone internationally who wants to buy the film will be able to purchase a digital download from Matt's website when it's released, and it will allow you to do so regardless of where you live. You may also pre-order a DVD copy now at paternityleavefilm.com, and we do ship internationally.

I hope this clarifies any questions you may have had, and thank you all so much for the support -- it really does mean a lot.

Thanks so much for answering everyone's questions Dustin, it's good to have someone from the production who actually knows how everything will go, cause I only can speculate from previous campaigns. Thanks for clearing everything up! :D

More of the plot of the movie:

Greg, a 30 year old web designer, is finally settled into a comfortable, stable, and healthy relationship with the love of his life, Ken, a criminal defense attorney. Introduced by a mutual friend, they have a perfect first date that turns into a four year long romance. Caught in a moment of passion on the eve of their four year anniversary, Greg soon begins feeling nauseated, fatigued, moody and - most unfortunately - fat. At his wit's end - and his boyfriend's insistence - he sees a doctor who's stumped and refers the couple to a specialist. To everyone's amazement, Greg is pregnant. Shock, stress, and fear settle in, and Greg's relationship gets put to the ultimate test. Filmed and set in Nashville, 'Paternity Leave' poses a modern answer to the age old question: "are we ready to be parents?"

Hey guys, so, Matt, Dustin, and producer Cameron will be doing a radio interview tonight at 8 PM CDT (6 PM PDT/7 PM MDT/9 PM EDT).

But you do not need to live in Nashville to tune in, as pretty much all radio stations are streamed over the Internet. So you can either go on the radio station's website to listen to the stream, use a Internet radio streaming website, or use a radio app for your mobile device.

The radio station website is:

http://www.radiofreenashville.org/

And the radio app I recommend that is really good, and the one I use, is TuneIn Radio. It is available on iTunes, Google Play, and the Windows Store.

Is there a way to hear the segment if you missed it?

Your best bet is to ask the radio station, I've done this before and all the stations I asked did have a recording available. Don't know if this station does or not though.
