The warmth of Steve's hand is gladly welcome, just as much as the glint in his eyes when he looked at Bucky. At one point in his life he had vowed to live alone until nature took him, but now he could hardly imagine being without Steve. So much so, in fact, that he had daily anxiety about losing him that he not-so-cleverly repressed with just the right amount of alcohol. Getting drunk was for alone times, not for precious moments like these.
