I read about this myself. Intriguing, isn't it?!
The only downside is that if you read the bottom of the link, it says two other attempts have been unsuccessful. Therefore I feel this 'project' (probably a poor choice of word, but I'm sure you understand what I mean) is still very much in test stages rather than being anywhere close to something we would see happening with any sort of frequency.
The dream is still very much a dream for now, but quite possibly a small step forward to the possibility of 'it' actually happening! I think it'll only be a matter of time before the topic comes up in the mainstream media and so fourth, but for it to be practically carried out? Sorry, I still struggle to see it actually happening.
