Rai's body had soon became covered in sweat, his hair clinging to his face as he attempted to catch his breath before bearing down yet again, a straggled cry of pain finally pulling itself from his throat, him bearing down even harder as it did.

Racoon had frowned, it had broken her heart to see and hear her friend in pain. She had continued to rub her King's stomach, feeling the child moving around harder. It became more and more desperate to breathe it's first breaths of air. It had not known that it was hurting it's father and causing him extreme pain.

It takes another hour or two before it finally begins to crown. Rai was still kneeling by the bed, the towel that had been placed underneath him had long since became stained with drops of blood. Rai's throat was now raw from the screams that had tore themselves from his throat.

Racoon had gently touched the head of the pup which was slowly emerging. She had been careful to not cause the child distress or to move around. She had felt as though she were helpless to help her friend, wanting to make the pain be from him to her. She had loved it when her friend was happy, not struggling and screaming as if his life were close to ending. She had had feelings for him in a lover sense but she did not know as to if he had felt the same for her. "You are doing wonderfully Rai .." She had said softly, smiling proudly at her beloved King.

He pauses for a moment to catch his breath, glancing up at her as he did. His entire body was shaking, his chest heaving as he panted. "It...doesn't....feel like it"

"I know that it seems like you are not doing well but you are." Racoon had not wanted her King to be angry with her. She was just trying to be encouraging to him. She had become quiet so that her friend could focus. She had rubbed his shoulders, the sides of his neck and down to his back and began to massage it gently to put some pressure off of his spine.

Rai continues to labor, pushing with the contractions with as much strength as he had. As the hours ticked by and the sun finally began to rise Rai found himself eventually collapsing from exhaustion, one final push bringing an almost animal like sound from his throat as the pup finally emerged.

Rai already knew that it was dead, it had died hours ago. He made no move to even look at it, trying to regain enough strength to at least climb into the bed.

Racoon had picked up the wolf like pup, trying to get it to breathe but it made no sounds nor did it breathe. She had put the baby on the bloodied towels, not doing anything with it since it was dead. She had helped her King to his bed, helping him more with getting onto it and laying down. She had felt bad for the pup, it had wanted nothing more than to breathe but the long time inside of it's father had caused it to suffocate and eventually die. She had stayed in her friend's room, cleaning the floor where the blood had pooled through the towels and had removed the dead pup, putting it in a box enough to fit it and had given it to one of the guards of the kingdom to bury it in the forest nearby.

Rai finds himself simply staring at the wall for many moments after the birth, his hands moving to his now empty stomach. Soon enough there would be another taking the place of the one he had just birthed. Eventually he found himself drifting into a dreamless sleep.

Racoon had quietly reentered her friend's room after burying the pup, putting a blanket over him. She had exited the room after knowing that she would not be of much help after the birth had happened. She had known that the pup had been in heaven and that it was in no pain. Racoon had wondered as to if the pup had suffered when it had been inside of it's father.

Rai stays in bed for many days, recovering from the birth. After he recovered he went on about his normal routine until the next month.
This month instead of being in his chambers when the child began to grow Rai was out in the gardens, walking among the many flowers and enjoying the cool breeze.

Racoon had been there to help her King. She had smiled as she had walked beside him in the garden, trying not to be so worried about him. She was the only one who had known about the curse and she did not want anyone to think of her friend in a bad way. It was not his fault that he was attacked by the beast as a child.

"I want to try something, before this one is born" Rai turns to look at Racoon, watching her expression to what he was about to say. "I want to bed you, so that I may possibly have one....child.....that lives"

Racoon had stopped in one of the shadows that was casted by the warm rays of the sun. She had gazed up into Rai's eyes who was her King, clearing her throat softly before she had chosen to speak. "I would love to be bedded by you my Lord." She had said with a soft smile up to her beloved King. She had always wondered as to what bedding with the King would be like and she became ever so eager to be with him.

"Then we best hurry" He leads Racoon back up to his chambers. It only takes an hour or so for him to her, them both just laying down for a little while afterward, his stomach continuing to grow as the moon began to rise.

Racoon had laid down beside her friend who was her King. She had slept soundly, feeling relieved after what they had done. She had dreamed, wondering about what was happening while she was sleeping without distractions. She had soon awoken, seeing her King's stomach becoming large in size as the full moon arose high in the heavenly realm above.

For the moment Rai was still sleeping, the pup not yet becoming active. He continued to sleep for another few hours, this child seeming to be calmer than the first.

Racoon had stayed near her King, only getting up to use the restroom or drink water. She had yawned, staying up for a while as she had became restless. She had walked to the only window of the room, looking out at it as it was still nighttime. She had wondered as to if the pup that her friend was pregnant with would survive. She had walked over to her sleeping friend, gently rubbing his stomach for a minute, not wanting to wake him up.

Rai continues to sleep for most of the night, even when the first contractions begin to course through his body.

Racoon had stayed by the window, looking through the blanket of darkness. She had sighed softly, not knowing that her King was in the first throes of light but slowly deepening contractions. She had soon tired of looking out of the window and had walked away from it, walking back to the bed and laying back down beside her beloved friend who was Rai. When she had realized that the pup was moving more than usual during the next few minutes she had awoken once more, becoming worried about Rai who seemed to be peacefully sleeping through it.
