Owen looked at him, raising his eyebrow in confusion “What do you mean? For people like me?” He asked his eyebrows pulling together “It’s fine…I’m sure my boyfriend can help, or I can always move back home up north and I’m sure my mum would help”

"I didn't mean that as a bad thing, I meant either single parents or those whose partners might not support the child" Shawn says "I'm sorry if what I said came across wrong"

Owen laughed lightly realising that Shawn hadn’t even realised “How far along so you think I am based on the scans” he said raising an eyebrow seeing if that hint would make him realise

"Maybe about a week or two longer than you've been experiencing...symptoms...oh...um...a-are they...mine?" Shawn freezes up when he realizes what Owen was trying to say.

Owen laughed a little “For a doctor that took you some time” he sighed softly “Did you not wear protection that night? I swear you did…Buy either way, I don’t expect you to pay for anything and if you don’t want to be involved that’s completely up to you” he said chewing on his lip lightly

"I don't remember if I did, I usually do. But we were both so drunk I wasn't thinking about it, I'm so sorry. I'll be there for you in any way I can if you need me, money isn't an issue for me" Shawn says "I want to help you out, this is partially my fault after all..."

Owen smiled gently at him “Shawn, it’s okay, really” he said softly and took the other mans hand squeezing it gently “You don’t need to be a part of their lives if you don’t want to” he said smiling gently “I can figure it out”

Owen smiled gently “I’m not going to take your kids away from you if you want them to be in your life” he said softly “Nick will just have to be okay with it, we weren’t together when I slept with you, don’t worry, I’m sure he’ll be fine”

"If he's not I can kick his ass for you, I'll be there for you if you need anything" Shawn says, giving Owen's hand a reassuring squeeze.

Owen smiled warmly at him before taking the towel and wiping off the gel gently “So…where do we go from here? I mean medically” he said chewing his lip a little

"Everything seems to be going well so far, so you should just need an ultrasound once a month until you reach your third trimester. Let me know if you start feeling sick again or if you think something feels off" Shawn tells him "Do you want me to print out any ultrasound pictures for you?"

Owen nodded “Okay, sounds good” he smiled gently “Yes please to the pictures” he said softly putting a hand on his stomach gently still not quite believing what had happened.

Shawn types in a few commands on the ultrasound machine and it starts printing out a few pictures for Owen.

Owen chewed on his lip lightly and rubbed his neck a little “So….” He said softly “How do you want to do this? Should I just text you whenever something is happening with the babies? Do I need to go to a specialist doctor for my ultrasounds from now on?”

"Well maybe not every time, only if you think something might be wrong" Shawn tells him "I can keep doing them, unless you'd feel more comfortable with someone else instead"

Owen looked at him a little sadly “Only when something is wrong? You don’t want to know about the good things?” He said softly “I’m okay with you doing them but I just wasn’t sure if it was a conflict of interest or if you know..you would want to know the sex of the babies when it gets far enough along that you can tell that”

"Oh, I'd definitely like to know! But I don't want you to feel pressured to share everything if you don't want to" Shawn says, feeling bad for accidentally hurting Owen's feelings "I wouldn't mind knowing before they're born, I can keep it a secret if you don't want to find out until they're here"

Owen frowned a little “Okay, this is only going to work if we’re honest with each other about everything. You need to honestly tell me how much and what you want to know as we go along, I don’t want to overstep on anything. If you want to know then I’m happy for you to do all my ultrasounds, that’s fine with me” he smiled softly

"Right. Sorry, I didn't want to invade your privacy. I'd like to know any developmental milestones that they reach, like when they start moving and kicking and anything else you feel comfortable telling me about. We could call each other once a week, would that work for you?" Shawn asks "I'd like that, it would probably be more comfortable for you if I did it since you already know me"
