Which one? The Leonardo / Claire Danes one or the Leonard Whiting / Olivia Hussey one, or the old old one? lol

The 1960s one is my favorite. I adore that movie!

You mean "Put up thy sword!" :)

I love the guy who plays Benvoleo in that version-- I love the character in general, but Baz decided that he should have his shirt off the whole fucking movie. Yum, XD

Books? Sadly I find most of the new American Cinema drivel. Notable movies I do like:

Romeo & Juliet (DiCaprio version)
Minority Report
Cowboys and Aliens
Battle Los Angeles
Equilibrium
Batman - The Dark Knight
Sherlock Holmes (Guy Ritchie/Robert Downey Jr)
The good, the bad, and the ugly
Gran Torino
Snatch
I am Legend

Foreign, to many to count. To name a few:

Brotherhood of the Wolf
Red Cliff
The good, the bad, the weird
War of the arrows
The seven samurai
House of flying daggers
Kung fu hustle
Returner
Gamera ( Yes I like the silly flying turtle! )
Natural City

Think I'll stop there, or I never will...

I love way too many films. I'm not sure I could ever do one of those "top 10 favorites" because I would find it way too difficult. But here is a very small sample from me:

Hellraiser films
Dark City
Devil's Backbone (anything by Guillermo del Toro really)
Edward Scissorhands
nearly anything by David Cronenberg
Se7en
anything by David Lynch
Underworld
Wrong Turn
Nightbreed
Black Swan
As life gets longer, awful feels softer.
Well it feels pretty soft to me.
And if it takes shit to make bliss,
then I feel pretty blissfully.

Always glad to meet someone who knows Crash as that movie about car-crash fetishes, and not as that overblown after-school-special movie that didn't deserve the Oscar for best picture.
