The boy was at peace and the king was glad to see it. His station must have caught his scent because he started to move. He quickly stepped forward taping his head which meant for him to stay. He didn't know the boy was awake now as hisd back was to him. "Dear melodic how can you be so close to him and I can't even get him to hardly look me in the eyes. since the day he first arrived at the castle all I ever wanted was to see him smile. The moment he reached out to me without hesitation and vied for my comfort I knew I knew I cared for him deeply. Now the closest I can get to that is him coming to my daily visits even then his heart yearns to run away. I am not my father I am not one who seeks to break people to get my way I rather treaty than war. I love life I wish to see it flourish. Why must the one thing I love besides you of course old friend run from me. I love him I wish I could change my heart but no woman has enticed me such as him. The stallion gave a soft nicker and nuzzled his huge head against the kings touch. Gerde shifted a bit and woke partway through the kings whisperings. He never realised the king had felt affection towards him, and he mentally scolded himself and mourned for his actions towards him since his enslavement. He couldnt help it however, when one is a slave all they do is wish for freedom or so he thought. He never knew about the previous kings actions against his own son, but he had seen his drakar had been treated by that man, and how his influence still effected him to this day though the guards who kept using the drake as breeding stock. Then there was the dragons wings, surely something that should be magestic, missing the delicate webbing that would permit him to fly leaving him grounded for life.

Every mention of the previous king seemed to send different strong reactions through people, fear, revialment, hatered but also admiration, longing and pride from those who had been closest to him orsimply booned from his rule, namely the old guardsmen and higher ranked officers. The slaves usually talked ij dark corners about the old king, about how much of a monster of a man he was and maybe they had rubbed off on him a little when saying the current king would end up that way. It almost hit him like a stone brick that perhaps that was why he wanted to keep his distance from the king.

The king turned to leave tears running down his cheeks. His only wish was for gered to not look at him as if he was a monster. He quickly left the stables trying to hide how hurt he really was that he would probably never be close to him. He set out an oder for replacement guardsmen to be sought after. He left for his private chambers.

Cthe king put in for a transfer he was transferring gered to the king of his own homelands care. His heart ached as he wrote for king Favle Fern to take him into his custody. As the king of his kingdom his peoples happiness was what he sought after. He lowered his pen and sat starring at the page. He then sealed it with a wax crest sent thee letter out via falcon.

"Master?" Drakar asked softly and knocked on the door as he entered the kings chambers "Master you asked for me to meet you here? Is everything ok?" He looked to his king as he walked in, closing the door softly with his tail once he entered. He walked over and laid his head on the kings lap, looking up at him like a puppy would who was seeking attention. It was an action that, in the past under his fathers rule, would have sanctioned harsh punishments upon him, the last time havung been while he was heavily pregnant and nearly resulted in the loss of one or more of his eggs.

While in his heart he knew his long time friend and owner would never do such a thing, his mind started screaming at him about how stupid he was being and when the king reached to lay a hand upon his head he nearly screamed out in fear and backed away sharply, nearly colliding with the wall. He quickly curled up and tried to shield himself instinctively with his wings, which would never work due to their loss of membranes.

"I...im s...sorry i...i didnt mean to... to break r...rule five 'd...dont look weak'! P...please no punishment master!" He said eyes wide and fearful but unfocused like he wasnt seeing the king or the room he was in, rather the images in his head.

The king stood up and aprached slowly. He sung sweetly to his friend his hand out. He gentlystroked his flank. He wished everyone wouldn't see him as his father.

It took the dragon a few minutes to calm down, eventually his brain breaking out of its loop and he gave a soft whimper "m...my k...king" he says softly before retruning the hug as best he can "i...im sorry i...i was concerned for you and r...ruined that somehow... i...im sorry"

He gives a soft chuckle and playfully bats him with part of one of his wings "because youve never really payed attention to me... remember that time you decided to climb over the fence into the gardens and i told you not to because of the raspberry bushes and rose bushes? But you did it anyway and ended up covered in scratches and prickles that the dr had to pick out" he gave him a soft nuzzle and lick to the cheek "a...anyway lets move on... why did you summon me here this eve my king?"

"I zsent in for widen to be transfered to his kings kingdom and custody. He will no longer have to long for home he is free to be where he longs to be. The king has been sent a royal request he can't rerfute."
He sat looking sad her had felt the boy would learn to trust.

The dragon nodded and gave the king a soft nuzzle "you did your best my king, he sadly didnt know you from when you were young like i do... you still have me though, i wont leave you please cgear up, you are doing a good thing, sometjing you father would have never done"

"Something I wish I hadn't done already." He sat with his pet till he fell asleep.

Drakar gave soft churring noises as he snuggles around his owner. Keeping him warm and comfortable as he rested before gently moving him to his bed once he fell asleep. He sighed and stripped him to his undergarments figuring he didnt want to sleep fully dressed before curling up against him again, his head gently resting on the kings chest as he slept. As much as he wanted to go further and do all manner of lewd things rught now with his beloved master, he couldn't bring himself to as he knew that he needed his rest right now.

The next morning the king woke to find his pet beside him. He smiled and gently stroked his side's. He was going to deliver the news to adien personally this morning at there meeting.he stood up from the bed and wuicly dressed in s olive green with gold accents toga. He was sad for this morning conversation would be there last.

Drakar was roused by his king waking. He stretched a bit and gave a yawn before getting up aswell "my king... you know im always available for comfort if you need" he says with a slow tail wag "it will be alright"

He sat in thee throne room awaiting adiens visit. His heart was breaking.

Drakar tried to be comforting but didnt really know what to do. His master was upset, moreso than he had ever seen and he felt powerless. He nuzzled at his masters hand hoping for some head scratches.

When the door eventually opened Adien walked in a moment later seeming a little confused "sire, good to zee you again, although, i find myself perplexed by summons. Is something wrong?"

He looked over eyes sad. "Your being sent to the fear of your kingdoms king your going home." He turned his face away trying not to cry.

Drakar nuzzled his master trying to comfort him while the boy looked a little confused "i...i am? B...but why?"

"Becuse thats were you long to be and i have no right to keep it from you. You may have been a gift to my father from the prior king as a peace offering but that dosnt mean i cant give you back. The king has already said youll be free to join genral public and will be freed. All upon arival i just had to give him a portion of my harvest this year not like it matters." Tears were spilling down his cheeks. (Im thinking he becomes an acholic to deal with tge loss aiden comes back to see him to thank him and finds his whole kingdom in disaray.)
