"You were the one who breathed fire into the stove hoping it would cook faster" he scolded teasingly "good food takes time love, be patient" he says with a smile before heading to the small cave he had allocated as his 'slaughter room'. It was normally offlimits to the hatchlings but that didnt seem to stop them. It was in here he took his latest catches and prepped them. Curing the meat and fur so it could be eaten or slept upon respectively. He took pride in his work, making sure it was all done carefully and exactly so hisfamily would have food over the next few months. He knew winter was coming, and that usually meant leaner and tougher times food wise but thanks to his and his mates hunting, the small garden they had protected by the caves warm walls, his looting of the local abandoned town of its canned and preserved goods, a.nd the caves naturally colder caverns, he was able to stockpile for the coming winter.

By the time he was finished and closed the room off, he could hear his young starting to wake and smell the food cooking in the kitchen cavern. "He may gripe about it and say we should stick to the bugs... but he doesnt seem to mind eating the food i catch" he thinks as he makes his way to the nursery "especially when i turn the wild boar... which is in plague proportions around here... into bacon... he gobbles that down faster than i have seen the wolves of my pack do it" he chuckles to himself mentally and lifts his little girl, letting her latch onto his nipple and start drawing milk from him, something he wasnt pleased had started to happen just before they hatched.

Zane was cooking bacon of course and eggs with some fresh dragon gpourd juice and some weeveles for his daughter renay named after his mother who like her father loved them. He plated every thing and carried them waiter style to there winning room. The had drug home a dining set with a large round wood table and 9 wooden chair. They had placed them in the cavern off of the kitchen cavern. He placed the plates down and watched as his children devoured there meal. They were growing so fast her in a nother moth or so they would grow up to be pre teens. He wasn't ready to see them grow. He then turned to Luka nuzzling his neck and sitting beside him.

Luka smiled and nuzzled back in return "and you didnt burn the cave down, good mate" he says playfully with a tailwag "Max... what have we said about playing with your food?" He asks after he feels some egg splat on the side of his face. He looks to the 'runt' of the three, Max. He was the smallest but it didnt seem to upset him in any way. He out of all of them had the strongest wolf instincts and tended to shake his head after biting ingo something, often spreading gravey or grease or other substances around when he did. The boy looked up at him and bloshed a little having a strip of bacon hanging from his maw "sorry mommy" he says before chomping it down.

Zane smirked his other son axle was busy trying to eat as clean as possible. He hated being dirty like his mother he often cleaned up after doing anything remotely nasty. He couldn't help but smile as he looked upon his other son zander who who busy turning his food into art with his fork. He taped the child on the head and he then huffed and proceeded to eat.

Luka rolled his eyes and chuckled softly returning to his own food. Ah to be young, playful and nieve again. But that would mean not being with his mate anymore. "So my love, what is the plan for today?" He asks "im sure your not going to let me go out hunting or scavenging are you? I wonder what new additions can be mate to out home..."

"You may go hunting but you must take yang with you." He was giving him some leway as her didn't appear egg heavy yet.

He nods "ill go scavenging, maybe with yangs help i can bring back some of the larger stuff i wanted t9 bring basck" he says wagging his tail "although seeing as we have the warm water spring the hottub i found is a bit useless... there was that fridge... need to get some power here for that though"

"You and your modern streak we have a cave full of ice for dragon sake." She shook his head.

"Yeah but how long will that last now we have the pups?" He asks with a chuckle "you know they like trying to get in there while playing hide and seek or after food" he says "atleast the fridge can be locked"

"The ice cave is enough promise I can deal with the bed not NO ELECTRICITY." he rubbed his temple he didn't feel well right now he was getting a head ache.

The wolf sighed "sorry love... i just feel we are being left out of so much that has come about since you were.... i just wanted to introduce it all to you" he stepped over and gave him a kiss "you ok? Need to go for a flight or run?"

"No luv I'm fine just a slight head pain I can manage." He wrapped arms around him giving him a tight hug. "Hunt safely now." He released him still rubbing his temple.

He nods and smiles "if that gets any worse... tell me ok?" He says giving hikm one more kiss "ill be back soonish... cmon Yang, lets see if we can find something tasty and or good for the kids to play with" he walks out with Yang following, the wolf's tail never stopping its wag

Zane whent to go sit down the thriving in his head worsening. He waited several hours for Lukas return by the time he got there zane was passed out on the bed room floor the three kids all tucked in for there nap.

"Love? Where are you? Come see the toys we got for the kids... Love?" He called curiously as he walked into the bedroom then spotten him on the floor then ran to his side "ZANE!? Zane! Wake up... please... Yang! Come quick something is wrong!"

Yang ran in her pelt frazzled. She ran to his side then quickly ran out the room and returned with a leaf wrap in her jaws.
She handed it to Luka inside was a a stone hollow in the middle with a very angry red orange exlixer in it.

He eyed it wearily then looked back at her "i need to get him to take this right?" He asked and gave a slight sigh "easier said than done... check on the hatfhling for me while i try ok?" He asked placing the stone dish down carefully and not spill anything, he moved over to zane and got him sitting, knowing it would help with swallowing.
"Cmon love... please i need you to swallow this" he muttered as he tried.

Zane swalowed some of the liquid and only seconds after did he sit up couching. With out warning he shifted to dragon form. He coughed up smoke then out burst a puff of flames. He shifted back breathing heavy. "I nearly lost my fire.

"To what?" The wolf retorts then grumbles "I nearly lost my mate! Why the hell didnt you tell me something was wrong!?" He asks now irritated. He collected himself then sighed coughing a bit on the thick smoke in the air "your such a stupid reptile... now tell me what is going on."

Zane looked up "luv im only half dragon i gusse i forgot about the obe wekly fire exlixer i have to drink to keep my fire going. If it goes out i die. Being part human means my body cant maintain my fire own its own. Sorry if i scared you luv." He rubbed his hand on lukas belly smiling.
