He tuened his green gaze to keith then to squeaks. Surley his name was safe enough.

"Not exactly she had ear and tail on a human body. She was fox like me" he smiled thinkibg of his mistress fondly.

"You mean like a half-anthro or something, you mentioned that she had pups?" asked Squeaks, somewhat confused.

"Yes she hadd three then master sent her away becuse she was being to kind to mere pet." I havnt seen her in weeks then he goes and throws me out im sure my mistress ended up dead as i was supose to.

(I'm kind of confused as to what Bermese's mistress was. Was she an anthro or half-anthro? Apparently, she's not "pet" (rather, Bermese is her pet), but she also had pups? Or is Bermese confused in character, and can't really explain what she was clearly? Also, where do you want this to go? it sounds like his mistress might still be alive, if she disappeared only a few weeks ago, so searching for her might not be a futile effort. )

"If he was really concerned about making sure you were dead, he would have made sure the first attempt worked. I don't think you need to change your name, your old owner isn't looking for you," said Keith.

Squeaks hugged Bermese again. "I'll miss you, Bermese," he said. "And Keith, make sure you take good care of him ," he added, glaring at the human.

Bermese watched squeaks go eyes sad. "What do i do now?"

"Just listen to Keith, he'll find you a new owner," said Squeaks, as he turned and walked out the door. Squeaks did not want to leave his new friend, but he knew that Bermese needed an owner.

"OK," said Keith. "I am going to take you to the main church. We will say that someone, from this mission, dropped you off because they could not afford to keep you, and that they do not want to be identified. Don't talk about your old master, your mistress, or Squeaks, that would not be good for any of us. Once there, someone will take care of you for a bit, while we look for a new owner for you," he said.

"Ok then but who is this some one?" His gaze was worriee. He didnt like humans much to be honest. They all seemed weird to him. They always acted skitish.

"Well, I don't yet," said Keith, as he let Bermese out to his car. "Someone at the main church campus will take you, then they will figure it out." Keith knew that this was not what Bermese wanted to here, but he didn't really care. He would pawn off Bermese to the mission board at the main campus, who would then deal with it.

Beremese arivved at the misdions borad and was put up in the atyic where he stayed lonley most days.

After spending a few days in the attic, Bermese heard the familiar footsteps by the attic. Normally, Virginia, an old lady, had taken care of him. She was nice, and Bermese asked her to be his new owner, but she said that she already had too many pets as it was. This time, she was accompanied by a fairly young male in nice clothes.

"Hi, Bermese, I'm Brandon, I'll be adopting you," Brandon said.

"I can get to know him at home, and if it doesn't work, I can always take him back here. I don't have time to go through an interview process," said Brandon, as he let the anthro down the stairs.

"Well, I suppose," said Virginia, not wanting to convince Brandon to leave the anthro here, as Brandon led Bermese to his car.
