He'd heard about it, mainly through random people and reports that had been filed for missing person cases. People were dropping out of their work or disappearing altogether in some cases. People were also catching sight of strange things. As a policeman, he was of course tasked with finding out what was going on. Antonio was a policeman in a small, not very eventful city... Not that many really knew of the situation as most just brushed it off as idle conspiracy chatter. It had started in the spring of last year. Supposedly within the less densely populated areas of the city where one could clearly see the stars and such, strange lights had supposedly been spotted above by a few, mainly while driving or camping. Others claimed to have seen space crafts and been abducted by aliens, but they had been ignored or written off as crazy. Today, he'd been asked by his colleagues if he believed all the hype. Of course, he said no. He was one of the many nonbelievers. He didn't think that aliens were already hiding among them and doing... Well whatever it was they would do in such a scenario. He personally though it was a bit foolish to think that people had been taken by aliens rather than providing a more rational explanation like some crazy person or a serial killer.. Or even people just leaving because they didn't want to be found.

He found himself working late with a few others, still sitting in his office and comparing a list of alleged 'alien abductions'. To be honest, he just though it was some killer running around snatching people up but he was pretty sure everyone else in the office believed that more so than this alien abduction thing that some local crazies had offered up. It was almost time for him to make the trip home anyway and he was honestly ready to do that. They had got nothing but reports of missing people and they had yet to get any real leads at this point. About seven people were missing so far and in the quiet town of Autumn Ridge that was a big number.

Looking back, he saw that one of the officers, Frank, was returning from his outing. He was back with a few snacks it seemed. "Hey, hey." He went to sit everything down on an open table. The remaining few officers in the building allowed their attention to be torn from their files and lit-up screens. "Come get your food. We'll consider it a needed break." And it was. Antonio got up and moved to grab the little hamburger he'd had his colleague get for him. He nodded his thanks and moved to take a seat, throwing his legs up on his desk and leaning back in his chair.

"I can't believe people think it was aliens. What technologically superior race would want to land in this dump?" Frank muttered as he moved to join the gathered officers. "Maybe that's why they're here. Since no one comes here, of course they'd want to invade a no name town like this one." One of the younger ones, Tyson, pointed out. He was a rookie and he had been here for a few weeks now. This drew some groans and eye rolls from a few other cops.

That was when the phone began to ring. Antonio set his burger aside and moved to get it. "911, what's your emergency?" The voice that answered was the meek, quiet whisper of a woman. "I... I." She was stammering, seemingly unable to talk. "Ma'am?" Finally she managed to get it out. "I think someone just broke into my house." She said. "I-I'm on Klein Street." She gave her address as well as quickly and quietly as she could. "Find a good place to hide and wait for us to get there. We'll be over in a few." He set the phone back down and looked towards the others, frowning. Because of how small the town was, this wasn't much of a police force really. It was nothing like the big offices one might see in a city but it was all they had. "Come on. We've got a break in on Klein Street. You three stay here though." He gestured to the two rookies  and one of their more experienced officers to stay behind and watch them. Antonio turned to leave the office, grabbing his coat on the way out. Hopefully that lady would be alright.

Rumors. That was all it could be chalked up to in the long run. They had nothing to support the evidence. Was it fun to theorize about? Sure. But could the partially Hispanic, primarily African-American male say they were true and an actual occurrence? No. That's what D'Anton Sanchez had to tell various people on the other end of the line, no matter how annoying it got to repeat over and over again. "No, there are no aliens. I'm sure they'll turn up eventually."

Seven was a frightening number to consider. They weren't a large town in the first place, but they had to take into account the statistics about those within that age range. They probably got tired of their living conditions and hightailed it out of there to live in another town or go to another state entirely. He could be painfully blunt about that matter at times, which brought tears to the family's eyes. What could he say though? Believe in the crackpot theorists who were spitting thoughts that aliens were abducting them? He hung the phone up on the dial before leaning back in his chair at the desk. He rubbed a hand over his short cut, yet curly hair before running it across his thick upkept shaven beard before rising up from the chair to go for some coffee.

"I don't know what would possess them to come here," he said in response to Frank trying to determine these strange theories. "There's not much here they would even want."

He would try to humor Tyson if nobody else did, at least. He went to the break room to fix himself some coffee as a means to help calm some of his nerves. When he returned, he joined in taking the bag that was his. He was in a mood for a burrito and that's exactly what he got before looming eyes got the wrong idea. That had happened before where he put money in on something and someone took it randomly when he wasn't looking. He was a rookie then, but now the Twenty-Seven year old had the Academy behind him by close to two going on three years. By now, he was partnered with Antonio, knowing the ropes in the fullest by now. That was why he couldn't take the idea about aliens as highly credible, yet he also youthful at the same time, enjoying video games on his leisure and clearly, thinking about aliens or some zombie invasion.

He was munching on his burrito when he heard the phone ring at Antonio's desk. He could hear the small murmurs, not quite well enough to know the full conversation, but when Antonio hung up, he knew it was time for them to move out again. He grabbed his shoulder holster, which held his EDC X9 9mm pistol.

"Alrighty" he merely stated before rolling up his sleeves to his black dress shirt. "I'm driving."

It sounded like they had to get there in a hurry. He was not one to toot his own horn, but he knew how to get there a bit faster, especially when it came to having to cut some corners. He turned the siren on to help reduce their chances of running into anyone and given the situation in that the resident of the house was still present while the break-in was occurring, they were certainly within their rights to speed and hurry. He brought the vehicle to a screeching halt when they had arrived on the main street itself.

"Did she give an address," he asked as he parked the car, taking the seatbelt off to get out the car. He would follow Antonio rather than be hasty in the endeavor of rescuing the lady from the would be invader.

Antonio moved around his own space, taking everything he needed. He looked up, letting his dark brown eyes drift towards D'Anton briefly as he offered... Well rather claimed the drivers seat. "Be my guest." Antonio responded as he was already looking back down. He grabbed his burger as he moved to follow his partner out. It was a cold night. Living in a mountainous town, the snow had already piled up this winter and it would keep coming. It was late, but there was the occasional car that went by the police department. Behind them, Frank and his partner were following them outside. They were heading to their own car however. He was already getting the passenger's seat for their squad car.

He found himself hoping they didn't end up driving down here for nothing. He hadn't brought his food so it would end up getting cold and he still had paperwork he wanted to finish before he left to go home. He was maybe a little jaded at this point, annoyed at the realization that it was probably going to end up being yet another case of someone trying to point their finger at these so-called 'aliens'... But as cops they had to answer every call that sounded panicked or suspicious and this call sounded like something really was going down.

Upon arriving on the street, he pulled himself out of the car. Frank and Catherine, the other two cops that had accompanied them, were moving to exit their own car. Antonio turned his gaze towards his partner nodding. "Yeah. 4003 Klein Street. "

Klein street was a relatively quiet street out in the fields to the west of the town. It was further out there on the outskirts, but it was still a part of the city and mainly used as farmland. From here, one could see the occasional house dotting the land in the distance. They had to jog a bit to their destination, but it was nearby and it was nothing they could handle. As they arrived, one could already see a decently size farm house looming over towering rows of corn. The lights were mainly out almost as though the power had been cut. He moved forward down the path towards the home. He was surprised to find that the door was already open. As a matter of fact, the door was wide open as though someone had entered it forcefully. Frank was already moving to enter the property. He nodded away from the door. He and D'Anton could search outside for now and make sure there weren't any vehicles in the area the possible thieves had used to get here... If the woman that had called wasn't out here trying to get away. Hopefully she was still inside, hiding somewhere.

He was used to the cold, suffice to say. D’Anton wouldn’t run out into the thickest of snow on a day to day basis, but he did like to have his morning routine consist of running and jogging with or without a hoodie every once in a while to make him a bit resistant. As a result, going around in nothing more than the dark blue dress shirt which proudly displayed his badge on top of the brown leather tactical shoulder holster with dark blue jeans and black Converses felt like a little breeze to him. That was if he didn’t stay out for too long or stayed idle. Fortunately, that probably wasn’t the case as he was now jogging down the street, following Antonio closely as they came to their destination.

What could be painted about the scenario as he flicked his flashlight on after having his gun drawn as well? According to the back yard’s door as well as the front, which were swung entirely open with force, the case of someone breaking in seemed to hold weight. For now anyways. They had dealt with many who went to the extreme to set up a case after all. He would reserve judgement until he was positive anything, if anything at all, proved to be rigged. He didn’t major in criminal justice with a minor for forensics to not utilize them after all. The first was to check the obvious. If someone had truly broken in, they left subtle signs outside. He turned his flashlight away from the house to spot anything out of the ordinary.

There were no cars in sight, save for the owner of the house rather. If she did escape, it probably was risky for her to just get in the car and get out. He jotted down the license plate and called it in to Tyler, who was working the desks presently. It was just on the off chance the car wasn’t hers. If the it could be traced back to someone else and they had a record of crime, they’d know shortly. For now, he spotted a bit more. Some of the shrubs that decorated the expansive countryside house had a few broken twigs. As he leaned closer, he noticed something a bit gooey.

It was translucent in color, almost missable to the naked eye had not the flashlight caught its gloss.

“Hey, check this out,” he called out to Antonio. “This is weird.”

What officer on the job didn’t bring anything to collect evidence? He reached into a small pack on his holster, applying gloves and grabbing a cotton swab. He collected a little of the slime like substance, holding it up into the air for them to look at closely before dropping it into a small ziplock bag. As he looked a bit closely, he noticed odd footprints in the snow that let up the small set of steps onto the front porch and perhaps onward into the house. D’Anton moved a bit slowly, if just to examine what was on the porch.

“I suppose if they’re yanking our chain, some credit had to be given,” he explained. “So far nothing seems to elude they’ve staged a crime scene this time around.”

Antonio let his gaze roam the area. He didn't see anything in all honesty, aside from the doors that swung ajar and crooked on their hinges. Things were eerily silent outside as thought every single living thing had decided to hold it's breath or at least flee the scene of the crime. The corn fields maybe rustled slightly a few times, but as nothing ever came out of them, he was certain it was just the wind or an animal that was creeping through the fields. Antonio stayed within range of his partner, keeping his eye out for someone or something at least. He shined his flashlight into the corn whenever a rustle could be heard, but just as he'd suspected, it ended up sending raccoon fleeing past. It seemed frightened of something, but also assumed it was just fear of them.

He investigated a bit, but he didn't actually find any blood in the area which was amazing enough. Of course, he was glad as he could hope that no one presently living in this house had been drug off by someone...However, his attention was caught when he saw the gleam of a translucent slime as soon as the beam of light from the flashlight crossed it. He frowned and looked down at it. He dared not touch of it as he didn't know what it was... But if this was some local crazy's excuse of making someone believe in aliens...

He looked over at D'Anton briefly before rising to his feet to join him. "I found more of it back over there.." He gestured to where he'd been crouching moments ago. "I haven't found any blood yet though and the windows around here actually aren't broken.." The only thing wrong was this slime and the broken doors. This entire thing could be someone's idea of a prank though.. Someone trying to prank them into believing someone was in actual danger, that someone had actually been abducted by some 'spooky aliens' or whatever.. He sighed when D'Anton admitted they needed to give them some credit.

"I guess you're right. It'd obviously manage to fool Tyson into thinking it's aliens at least." He said as he moved off to go and continue his search. Shining his flashlight around, the goop seemed to lead into the field of corn. Drawing nearer to it, nothing was really out of place here.. Again other than the good. He begrudgingly admitted he was impressed that teens or local nut jobs trying to pull a stupid ass joke had managed to be so clean about this... It was actually a little unreal and made him wonder if it really was someone more experienced at this sort of thing.. He kept the seven abductions in mind though... It was possible if those people really had been abducted, this was one of those moments. It was a worrying thought and far worse than the idea that someone was trying to pull a prank on them.

"I think I found a trail of that slime. It leads in to the corn field though." He looked back towards D'Anton and waved his hand as he called back to him. He wouldn't go any further without his partner. It could end up being a mistake after all.

He could go in and investigate the house itself, but what was truly the point? As Antonio looked onward with his own investigation and with D'Anton doing the same shortly afterwards, the crime had gone from being inside the house itself to outside, rather. Everything they truly needed to know at this point was out there with them in the cold winter night among the farmlands. If ever there was a good time to hear little children make mention of He Who Hides Behind the Rows or for signs to be drilled into the crops of corn, now was totally the occasion. That did not help his mind any when the mention of the trail extending out towards the fields itself appeared and D'Anton sighed with a slight partial frustration. Of course this couldn't just be a regular investigation and solving of a crime. Of course, they had to go out and check the trail of slimy goo because somebody's antics dictated they had nothing better to do with their time other than heckle two officers on a wild a goose chase.

"If this is one of those kids again," he stated, thinking back on the last set of pranks pulled for them to prove their point. "They're sitting in a cell with Pat."

Pat was not in jail all the time, essentially. He was one of their very own officers in blue, who usually did a sort of stunt in order to scare certain individuals back to a path far away from crime. Surely this would be the exact same case at this point as if on the offchance the female who called was not a part of the scam, D'Anton was looking at not just reckless endangerment, but forced entry and a few other charges that could ascertain to a huge waste of his time ultimately. Still, he followed closely beside Antonio. There was no need to complain about anything as they were all the way out here now. All he could do was get to the bottom of the investigation, get back to his burrito and coffee if they had not run cold by now and get back to his small condo when his shift was completely over. As they went just a little further, the dark skinned male couldn't help but chuckle a bit when seeing perhaps a small, but huger amount of slime on the ground so much that it was partially thick to step on when he failed to notice it. Thankfully, he didn't slip, but it certainly felt thick in form. Thick and slimy.

"It's a good thing I don't care about shoes. Somebody would be owing me a new set right about now. I hope none of this is that crazy glue they used the last time though."

"Most likely one of those kids again." Antonio honestly couldn't put it past that. He'd yet to see anything particularly strange and after the last few times, people had literally made slime to put everywhere. Some had even stooped so low as to merely use crazy string and Antonio honestly had to wonder how anyone though crazy string would make someone think of aliens... "And if it's just some kids, guess they'll soon be in that cell too." Someone had forcibly entered the home after all and that woman had called them, if she was in on in, under the false guise of her being in trouble. These people, if it was a hoax, weren't going to get away from this without some kind of charges.

As he moved to follow the trail, he admittedly was begrudgingly glad this lot didn't use crazy string. He couldn't exactly see the transparent slime on the ground, only occasionally catching it's gleam in the pale moonlight. He'd step in it a few times and grimace a little bit at the sickly squelch it would make, but he began to ignore it after awhile. "It's probably just some slime a bunch of kids decided to make for there oh so amazing prank." Antonio glanced back at D'Anton but kept going. He shined his flashlight around to make sure he didn't see some kid cowering in among the rows and rows of corn, but he saw nothing.. Only the occasional shine of more goop... Despite there being a trail of slime, he couldn't really see any footprints either. It was a little strange, but he hadn't mentioned it yet.

"How long does this stuff even go on for?" He muttered. "How far did those kids trek to lay all of this down?" Hopefully not so far that this prank became far too elaborate. It was already a bit much, what with the possibly fake call in and all.

He said no more when he saw a glow through the corn field. He glanced at D'Anton, but moved ahead anyway. He heard voices that.. Well they weren't speaking English and their tones weren't quite human in nature either. He could see a metal structure through the thinning veil of corn and he frowned as he crept ever closer. He honestly wasn't sure what this was, but he was hoping it was some idiot kids playing around.. He wasn't sure a couple of teens sounded like that nor would they build a towering metal building or whatever that was he'd just seen. He didn't want to resort to aliens, but what kid at the resources to do this anyway?

((Sorry for the slight delay. I had a cold and was recovering as a result.))

D'Anton couldn't argue with that logic. As long as someone highly responsible for the crimes were behind bars by the end of the night, he could consider it a job well done. If maybe on the off chance that someone else was behind the scenes after any arrest was made, they would just have to thoroughly check the evidence some more before accidentally putting someone innocent behind the bars. Still, the more and more they went through the stalk, the more it was becoming obvious to him that some people were going a tad too far for such a prank. To be frank, it was beginning to unnerve him, which made him a bit more cautious about keeping his pistol steady, the male ready to fire should he need ever arise.

"Antonio," he stated. "I hate to be the illogical one here, but I'm beginning to suspect this is well beyond someone having too much time on their hand. I'm thinking that this had to be a group effort."

At least he was hoping that's what it had to be at the expense of his partner's sake. He didn't want to say what this was looking like, but the further and further they went, it just appeared certainly unnatural. That and the fact that there were now really deep within the corn fields. It was easy to get lost out there at this point. This had to be more than kids however, especially when the lights began to glow a little further in their direction. Ever the one to be on his guard however, he followed Antonio, a little behind the male. Hearing the strange language before him definitely reinforced how he felt as Antonio turned to look back at him.

"Maybe strange cultists," he questioned with a bit of tense nervousness. As they began to draw near, the sight of a large metal object, some type of building or maybe something else, sent his heart to a quick drop but soon quick pounding. He pulled the safety off his gun as he drew the hammer back. He wouldn't fire essentially, but he was on the ready, D'Anton nodding at Antonio before pulling the stalk back, authoritatively commanding whoever was on the other side "This is the police! Put your hands up where we can see them!"

Boy, why would he soon regret that?

(It's fine. I went on a kind of hiatus anyway so I'm honestly just getting back to this site today.)

Antonio looked back at D'Anton. Well.. He made a very valid point with that one. This didn't look like something a bunch of kids had done. He nodded, wanting to disagree and point out he wasn't being illogical. A bunch of kids weren't going to build a metal spire for the sake of a joke. This had to be the work of someone more serious about their work... He looked towards one of the others. "Get back to the car. Call some back up." His voice was hushed as he ordered this. His fellow cop nodded and made their way back to the front. For now, he supposed they could check it out and see what was up.

There was an ominous warbling in the air and beams of light could be seen often. The garbling of these inhuman voices would fade in and out as whoever they were patrolled the area. He hunched, keeping low as he sifted through the corn with his gun in hand. He was ready to pull the trigger if need be, tense and perhaps seconds away from wanting to flee. However much he wanted to get as far away from here as possible, he couldn't. He had a job to do and he wasn't willing to leave anyone here behind. So he swallowed his worries as D'Anton nodded at him. Taking a moment to swallow feverishly, he joined his partner beyond the safety of the stalks, drawing his gun and pointing it around.

What he saw caused his jaw to drop and his eyes to widen. Staggering back, he realized they were standing face to face with a small group of.. Well.. Amphibious people? They were standing upright and had different shaped eyes and their skin varied in color. One could only guess the more brightly colored ones were actually poisonous to the touch.. Their gazes seemed confused at first and while they glanced at one another,, One that appeared to be in charge of the operation let out this gurgling laugh. When he spoke, they could understand him. "More earth dwellers then? I'd say they wouldn't mind a few more." They didn't seem very worried about how they had their guns pointed at them. Antonio almost assumed they had force fields or some kind of shields or something.. Either way as some of them drew closer, he'd already tested this out, firing a bullet or two. Not surprised, but grimacing as they were deflected harmlessly by an invisible barrier around the frog men. He was stepping back. "We should have waited for backup to come.." He murmured to himself.

(Haha, gotcha.)

Oh, how he wished that he didn’t step out. It was a good thing that backup was called for, but would that even matter in the long run? What his dark brown eyes had gotten the chance to witness was something horrific. Well, he actually couldn’t quite place his hand on the thought about how to actually feel because if this was on a less hostile situation, the sight of seeing something that bizarre might have been fascinating. What it had become however was a situation in which they had to fend for their lives. This seemed to ring home for the Afro-Hispanic male when one of those froggish figures merely stated they wouldn’t mind a few more. If they were responsible for this missing woman, he certainly was not trying to have a visit of the fourth kind...or was it fifth? He let his gun decide.

As him and Antonio learned, nothing worked. Those bullets seemingly bounced off. In his case, with one of the creatures that bore a teal, orange and black like skin, it just merely made contact with presumably his skin. The bullets stood within the skin for a bit before falling down with no visible damage at all. Was there some kind of advanced shielding or was their skin just that superior against “archaic” weapons? He turned to look at Antonio, D’Anton backing away slowly as those eerily menacing figures drew near.

“Nah, it’s okay,” he tried to assure Antonio. “At the very least, we tried to fend them off. We just need to get back and warn them. Sides, our guns aren’t exactly working against them.”

Who would even believe them though? Their rookie? It was quite clear that in this instance if guns weren’t working, the only option was to run. He had seen enough horror movies to know that probably would only get them far, especially out in the cold, at night and within a corn field. Maybe these aliens could get lost as well.

“Let’s hair run for it,” he said, not sparing time to dart back inside.

"Live to fight another day, eh?" Antonio clearly agreed as he had already turned to run back into the corn. He glanced back, of course making sure D'Anton was there. There wasn't much they could do here, but he didn't want to think that they couldn't escape. He didn't run down the cleared out path of corn. It was best to run through the corn itself even though the corn was a pain to get through, it was either this or death i his opinion. He glanced back again, not actually seeing any of the amphibious creatures coming after them. Maybe they'd figured it was useless to come after them? He didn't even think the backup would believe them. They'd be looked at like they were crazy.. But those things had been there. They had no way of really proving it and people would even be skeptical about photos.. It wasn't like they could take any pictures anyway.

As he ran, part of him felt like those things had some advanced warping technology that would allow them to get to their destination before the both of them ever did.

He didn't feel like they were out of the clear just yet, even as they drew closer to the house. It could be seen, parts of it, flashing between the stalks of corn as he ran. He slowed down a bit, but kept up a relatively fast pace. Looking back again and this time, thoroughly scanning the area, he saw nothing. He didn't even hear anyone. "Lets... Lets just try to get back to the car.." He was trying to compose himself, breathing a little heavily, but he was fine for the most part. "Lets check the area first though.. For all we know, they're out there somewhere.." He nodded towards the general direction of the house before continuing forward at an even pace.

Getting back to the car was definitely his priority as well as Antonio's. They didn't go down the path of which they originally took, the one that was painstakingly obvious which would warrant the aliens themselves to follow in tow with a clear sight of their targets. They had to run through the fields that weren't properly parted as a result, which D'Anton had to swat a few stalks of corn from his face every now and then. The good thing was that it didn't feel like they were being pursued, but D'Anton had heard every story and seen every film. Whenever you stopped to catch your breath and turn back, it was when you were a goner and so as a result, he kept on running as fast as he could. There they were, however, at a clearing. They were coming out back towards the house. It was there the male had to catch his breath for a bit. He rested his hand on the wooden railing that led up to the backdoor steps of the house. He didn't think much about it until he pulled his hand back, noticing some of the slime on it and groaned in disgust, wiping it off his hand.

"Yea," he said with heavy breaths accented by the fact his breath carbonized into white smoke upon exiting his mouth. "Can't take chances."

Maybe it was just him getting a bit excited and thrilled, but his hand did feel a bit sensitive. He didn't pay it much attention however as he had to focus on him and Antonio getting out of there. Even though their car was just on the other side of the house and half a mile away from it as a result, they were still in proverbial hot water and not in the clear as a result. Far rue their day if they were like the typical lians however, complete with tractor beams that just pulled them away into the air. If they were however, surely they would have used them, but D'Anton couldn't help but wonder why it seemed like they were getting off easy. He shook that weird feeling beginning to spike in his hand away as he continued moving ahead with Antonio.

Antonio also wondered just why they seemed to be getting out of this with no problems. They... They couldn't be out of the clear... Could they? Antonio glanced back towards the corn fields once again, at least to make sure those creatures weren't coming for them. He was getting paranoid at this point and he was pretty sure they weren't going to find that woman.. But what were they supposed to say to the others? They couldn't say aliens had captured her... No one would believe them... And yet a lie wouldn't be proper either.

Antonio picked through the yard at a slow pace, he didn't see any of the other cops they'd brought with them, oddly enough... He was a little unnerved by that as he recalled sending two or so back to call for backup. Approaching the car, he was ready to get in it and down the road, back to the office... But of course, he wasn't willing to leave the others behind. However.. Even if he'd intended on doing so, he couldn't. Reaching out to touch the car, automatically resulted in his hand hitting some.. Invisible wall. He frowned, attempting this again just to be sure he wasn't hallucinating, but he wasn't. He cursed under his breath, realizing that those aliens probably hadn't chased them because they'd already been planning on setting this trap. He almost didn't think hiding was worth it. They'd just find them, wouldn't they? Suddenly that phrase 'you can run, but you can't hide.' had come to mind.

Antonio turned back. "We can't get out of here." He said to D'Anton. "They've trapped us here!" By now, the corn ahead of them rustled as though their tormentors were finally coming through.

((Sorry for the delay. I was getting creative again. For the longest, I was curious how this race might have looked and began to go to work on their design, or at least one of them anyways. It's still a WIP, so it's a bit blurry otherwise lol.))

Perhaps he was just optimistic. The male actually thought there might actually be a chance they could get away from such a bizarre and supernaturally phenomenal sight. The further and further they pressed onward though, getting just a little closer to the car, D'Anton noticed something. It wasn't the fact that Antonio's hand ran right smack into a invisible wall just inches away from their car. He would have questioned that if he got the chance and probably tried to find a way to fight against such a force. What he had noticed was that he could feel something bumping up against his right side. The male, naturally, tried to see what it was, with his hand no less. That was the problem however. He couldn't seemingly will his hand to properly move. In fact, when his brown eyes gazed down, he realized that the mysterious object that patted up against his side and thigh was his arm itself. Somehow, it had fallen limp entirely, the male not being able to do anything to will it to stir from being such a limp noodle.

"I must have touched something," he said aloud, trying to think back on what occurred. Then it dawned on him. He had accidentally touched some of the slime that was on the hand rail by the house when catching his breath for a bit. As if on cue, the bushes were beginning to stir. D'Anton wasn't willing to just be taken away so easily, but their guns didn't yield to any effects and now apparently, whatever it was these frog-like creatures secreted -He was assuming they did anyways-, had some sort of paralyzing effect from skin contact alone. "What do you think we should do then? Make a run for the house?"

Was that what the resident of such a building had felt, thinking that she would find safety in such an area? Maybe he could pull some gas from there and blow the creatures up or something. Then, he might have to ask himself something important: What if they weren't the creatures who trapped them in the first place, rather others hovering above them invisibly? This situation began to make him grind his teeth a bit.

(Looks good! ^^)

Antonio looked back at D'Anton again when he mentioned that he must have touched something. Antonio's gaze went to his hand, realizing that it was limp, simply dangling there. Antonio frowned, his brow furrowing along with it. He had recalled that his partner touched that slime from earlier. Antonio hadn't touched it fortunately enough.

"Lets go hide in the house then. We can't escape, so maybe if we find a decent hiding place there..." Looking back towards the rustling corn, he didn't think he wanted to confront those creatures. They were outmatched here and he was certain they were hostiles. He made his way towards the house, quickly, but he tried to be silent as well. He made sure that D'Anton was still with him, not wanting to get too far ahead of his partner, especially when his arm had been paralyzed like it had.

Above, he heard a soft warbling noise once he managed to get on the porch. It was hard to hear, but just noticing it made him look back. He could see lights descending, spinning in a slow circular motion. Another light appeared in the middle, this one brighter than the others. That was when he saw them, those frog men, jumping down and landing and yet they were still intact from falling from that height. Antonio turned away to get into the house before they could see them.
