We’re getting closer guys! I’ll be on the lookout for other voice actor for He’s Expecting, more should be popping up soon!
Ahhhh this is great news! I have been wondering about this series. Nice detective work, and thank you for the update.
So it appears as though He’s Expecting will be “shadow dropped” (released without prior announcement of release date). Netflix does this a lot with many of its shows and movies, because they release a lot of content. Also, Juri Ueno (lead actress) confirmed a few weeks ago that He’s Expecting was being released in the spring (which is late-March to late-June) and Netflix usually reveals the release date a minimum of 4 months in advance for marketing, this would mean that the release date would have been revealed between late-November to late-February, and it is officially Spring on the 20th of this month.
Netflix recently updated the official He’s Expecting page (a couple of days after Juri re-uploaded the teaser trailer) and that’s what made me realize that the series will probably be shadow dropped.
So, with that being the case I would like to say that when the series is released, watch the entire series and watch it several times, so that Netflix will see the popularity of the series and opt to produce more and/or more content with male pregnancy in it.
Netflix counts an entire video viewed after watching 120 seconds (2 minutes), so please watch the series, on Netflix. I will not allow anyone here to post non-official sources for the series, because I want Netflix to see that there is a profit from making male pregnancy content and will possibly entice them to greenlight and produce more. This may be the reason why it’s possibly being shadow dropped, because Netflix may not have confidence in the series being financially successful and lucrative.

Netflix considers something to be financially successfull if a spike of new subscriptions, or drop in cancelations occurs with release. Since this is difficult to measure for small/niche releases, the company looks at what percentage a subscribers total watch time is made up by a specific series or film.

Here's some fun news: Eri Sakai saw our English Wikipedia page for "He's Expecting", and I'm assuming for "Kentaro Hiyama's First Pregnancy" as well. I think she is just now learning that Americans are just as interested in her work as the Japan natives.

I saw that earlier today! This is why I want everyone here to rewatch the series over and over again, especially for the first month, cause it will show them that the series has a following!
Also, I was able to finally work out the bugs, so I can share the Wiki for He’s Expecting that I created a while back!
