The alien nodded. "Thank you, human. By the way, my name's Trian. Trian Xai'El."

[Eskal]

"Nice to meet you, I guess," Jeremy said.

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"Likewise. So, where can I sleep?"

[Eskal]

"The couch for now, it pulls out into a bed," Jeremy said. Kiba huffed. "Oh and Kiba might join you."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

Trian nodded. "Right. And you said he was a what again?"

[Eskal]

"A dog," Jeremy said.

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"A dog. Well, okay then." Trian followed behind Jeremy as he led him to his sleeper couch.

[Eskal]

Jeremy pulled out the bed and grabbed some pillows and blankets. "I'll be in the other room. Just call for me if you need anything."

Trian nodded and laid down on his new bed. He couldn't get comfortable, but he was going to be here for a while, so he knew he needed to get used to it. He tossed and turned as he tried to get to sleep.

The next morning, Trian woke up, and began rummaging through cabinets looking for food. He looked in the fridge, and decided to make himself some eggs. He grabbed a skillet and some eggs and butter, and started cooking.

Jeremy came out into the room. "I see you know your way around a kitchen."

"Eggs aren't something that are just on Earth, you know. I don't know what animal these came from, but eggs are eggs." Trian explained.

[Eskal]

Jeremy nodded and started a pot of coffee before putting some food in Kiba's bowl. The dog grunted in thanks and began chowing down on his food.

Trian served the food, and it smelled better than any food Jeremy had smelled before. "I'm afraid I didn't have much to work with, so it's not my best work." Trian sighed.

[Eskal]

"I was going to go grocery shopping today," Jeremy said as he poured the last of his coffee creamer into his mug. "I just had to wait for this month's payment to come in."

"Payment for what?" Trian asked.

[Eskal]

"Oh. I won the lottery a few years ago," Jeremy said. "Did you really think somebody as young as I am could afford a place like this?"

[FweepFwopFwoop]

Trian shrugged. "What consitutes young for a human? I'm 87, and I'm considered young as one of my people. But if I was a Gerian, I'd certainly be dead."

[Eskal]

"I'm 24," Jeremy said. "And since the average lifespan is around 90, I'm still fairly young."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"Only 90, huh? That's not very long. My people live for a couple of centuries. I bet if you made contact, the advancements in medicine you'd see would increase that. But, enough about longevity, I'm hungry." Trian took a seat at the table and began eating his food.

Jeremy ate his food. His eyes widened when he took the first bite.
