Didn't know if it should go in general or mpreg discussion, but this article was too fascinating not to post.

A F-to-M transgender man in Canada applied to be a lactation coach after having breastfed his own child for over two years, but was denied because he identifies as the child's "father" and not the child's "mother," which is a requirement by the organization to be a lactation coach.

Article excerpt:
“You told me that you do not identify as a mother,” LLLC continued. “You are your baby’s father. According to LLL philosophy the roles of mothers and fathers are not interchangeable. I think that this would make it difficult for you to represent LLL philosophy.”

Not interchangeable. Those words resonate strangely to a transgender man.
From your link, I ended up on the newspaper's home page. I entered 'breastfeeding dad' in the search box and found two articles on this gentleman in the results list.

Interesting that they let him attend meetings but won't get him coach...and then suggest, "He would be more helpful outside of La Leche League.”

The second article is entitled: "Breastfeeding dad wins support from parenting community". Kudos to the parenting community!

That's odd... I tried to fix it but it won't let me link it properly =/
Wow, that's pretty silly of LLL in my opinion...

Jeez.

EDIT: Okay, the first one doesn't work for some reason. So you'll have to search for it like SBE did.
