Kade had continued to rock the baby, walking around the room of the nursery until the child would fall back asleep.
Chris had been watching Kade as he had rocked the baby back to sleep. In a way he had promised the boy freedom after the children were born, but now he was beginning to rethink that promise.
Kade had continued to hum softly to the baby who was slowly falling back to sleep. When the baby was finally quiet and soothed he had put the baby back in it's crib. He had soon left the room and had been startled by Chris at the door of the nursery. He had walked past him without a word, walking back to him room and laying down to sleep for a while before his offspring would wake back up and start crying.
