"Doesn't look like it," Sidney said, rubbing a hand over Silas's shoulders. "I guess we could wake Marc. It's been two hours since I talked to you."
Marc opened one eye. "Marc is a awake and has been keeping an eye on everything. I did an exam about a half hour ago and he's still got a ways to go so unless you've brought me ham on rye, you can let me go back to sleep."
"No rye left. Your kids all wanted rye for their lunches. You got sourdough."
"It's like you don't even care," Marc sighed and held out his hand. "Give me the inferior sandwich."
