Caesar blinked stupidly. It might not be the first time he heard his husband said so, but this time it was particularly impactful seeing him cradling their little daughter, feeding her and being barely there. He was saying this almost subsconsciously, looking like he could pass out any minute... and did just that moments later. The baby girl continued to suckle hard - in terms of size she wasn't that much smaller than her elder brothers, which explained why it was no easy feat to deliver her.
"little girl... you've tired daddy out! but we're so happy to welcome you." he smiled rubbing the small, bloodied head of the girl. Victor might be getting his rest, but his body was still working on expelling the placenta. Everything was bloodied and victor didn't look good with the massive blood lost. Caesar tried his hardest to ake care of everything, but in the end he wasn't a professional and had to call for help from the outisde.
It was an agonizing wait after. Victor had stayed unconscious for a few days. Caesar had stayed with him throughout. It was on a beautiful morning that Victor finally showed signs of waking up.
"Morning baby... " Caesar smiled at his husband. "We have waited for you for so long... " he said pulling over the cradle containing their 3 squirming new borns. "Let's go home?" He said. Today's a new beginning, and together they would thrive.
