Haven’s Grace had an open house of sorts for perspective members to dip their toes into the community lifestyle without completely committing to it, that would come later after a long process involving a very in-depth background check, several medical exams and about 6 months of schooling to learn more about the community and its way of life. For the open house perspective members spend a day with a family in the community, who gives a general idea of what day to day life would be like if they join them. During this time you get to ask almost any question that you can think of, with the exception of really personal questions that should be left to private conversations with your host if they feel they are relevant to your day. A big part of the day is understanding how everybody contributes to the community and how to keep everything sustainable without much help from the outside world. The was the original plan at least.
