An Odd Story of Man and Magic. A fantasy RP. (FINISHED)

"Marius," Astien sighed.

"Well, I'm happy to go." Andres said. He stood up and cleared the table. "Here, let me get these." He took the plates into the kitchen and started washing them all.

"No, don't rush out like that," Marius said.

Astien lifted himself out of his chair and joined Andres in the kitchen. "So, how's life been treating you?" He asked.

"No complaints. I'd ask the same, but you've clearly been doing fine." He replied. Astien blushed. "Why don't we get lunch later, Az? We can catch up properly."

"Sounds great." Astien smiled.

"Hey Marius," Delas said.

"Hm?" Marius said.
"Still waking up, huh?" Cormac asked.
"Pretty much."

"I might be wrong about this, but... I think that guy wants to bone-zone your beau."

"I trust Astien won't go along with it," Marius said. "I'm more than enough man for him." He said slightly louder towards the kitchen.
Reply

"Then why'd you feel the need to shout that?" Delas asked.

Andres rolled his eyes. "Very self-assured, isn't he?"
"Hey, don't say that." Astien chided.

Marius sipped his tea. "I'm going to head to a gym. I need to do some lifting. Either of you care to join me?"
"I guess we should brush up on our combat skills."

"I was gonna follow around Astien and his would-be bone-zoner, but I guess I cold stand to go a few rounds with a couple of dummies. Maybe some practice models too." He giggled like he'd thought of the funniest joke ever.

"So… twins, huh? Your fiancé must be proud." Andres mused.
"Huh? Oh! Oh no, I'm not having twins, just one big, bouncing baby boy." He smiled and patted his belly. "And Marius isn't the father. Well, he is, but not biologically."
"Ah. I see."

"Astien, we're going to the gym!" Marius called. "Aiden keep an eye on your father for me." He chuckled and grabbed his sword as they left the house. "I could teach you two how to wrestle if you want."
Reply

"No thanks. I'm too scrawny to wrestle." Delas said.

Andres and Astien walked out of the house and to a nearby park. They at on a bench and talked. "So," Andres started, "Marius, eh? How'd you two meet?"

Astien blushed. "Well, I was staying with Siran for a while, and then one day, this big, handsome man comes through, but he's injured an he needs healing. So, Siran an I healed him, and while I'm spending time with him, you know, making sure he's healing up okay, we get to taking, and one thing led to another, and now we're getting married."

"I'm good," Cormac said. "I'll just stick to practicing my sword play."
"Suit yourself then." Once they reached the gym Marius did some stretches and started lifting weights.
Cormac took to the archery range to brush up with his bow.

Delas picked up a staff and used it as a proxy for his spear against a dummy.

"So what about you, Andres? How have you been? Ate you seeing anybody?"
"No, I haven't really had anyone in a while. I've been too busy with stuff. Or maybe I just really haven't been looking. Either or, I suppose." An awkward silence him in the air for a moment before Andres spoke again. "You know you're too good for him, right?"

After a few rounds with his bow, Cormac moved to practicing his swordplay.

Astien sighed. "And I suppose you are?"
"No. But then, that's one of the things about you. You're practically a saint, Az. You have this way of making someone feel like they're not the best they can be, for good or ill. But I was always trying to be better for you, I can say that for certain."
Astien buried his face in his hands. "Andres, what are you saying? That you want to get back together? That's not happening. And if you're saying you regret that it ended…"

Andres grew defensive. "I'm not apologizing for that. It's something that needs to happen, and it's something I'm going to do someday. It's also something you should join me doing, since you went through it too."
Astien shook his head. "Dammit Andres, this was why we agreed to end it in the first place. I can't and won't have anything to so with that damn plan of yours. I don't care if you think I should, I could never do such a thing."

Marius later moved on from lifting to practicing with his sword.

"Whatever you say, Az. I've found others who will help me."
"I'm not saying they don't deserve it, but you shouldn't do it. Not at all."
"I know that's how you feel. And I know I'm never found to feel the same."
