Chris looked at the sight, and then at his lover.
"And how? Nice feeling?"

Cooper nodded, “your skin is so smooth”, he said, moving his hand around, “does your baby move yet?”

Chris nodded, then stroked his belly himself.
"The pregnancy is a bit compromised, so the baby rarely makes movements," he said.

“What do you mean by compromised?“, he found himself asking, curious to know.

"Endangered. The child may be in danger," he explained to him quietly

“Oh”, Cooper murmured, going silent. He tucked Chris into his side and began to stroke the bump, “then we will do all we can to be safe”.

Chris felt so safe and calm in his beloved's arms. He let himself be snuggled up to him tighter from behind.
"Thank you..."

Cooper didn’t answer, instead he felt himself grow sleepy. “What are you doing to me?”, he murmured, “I’m so cosy”.

Chris reached for a blanket and covered them both. He grabbed his hand.
"I think it's... Love," he whispered with a small smile.

Cooper smiled, holding onto Chris’ hand, “goodnight”, he whispered into the darkness of the room.

Chris slept really well that night. The baby moved a few times in his womb.

In the morning, Cooper was the first to wake up but he decided not to move, he was too comfortable.

Chris slept soundly, snuggling into the man's shoulder.

Cooper looked down and chuckled at Chris, he was drooling on his shoulder. He honestly didn’t mind but it was a funny sight.

Chris held on to him really tightly. He was also smiling in his sleep.
"Tighter... Harder, Cooper," he said in his sleep.

“Woah”, he said to himself, wondering what type of dream Chris was having. He briefly wondered if he should make breakfast for them both.

Chris woke up at some point. Then he looked into Cooper's eyes.
"Good morning...."

[Whoknows]

“Morning”, Cooper replied, eager to get up, “you know, you sleep for ages”.

Chris stuck out his tongue.
"I'm pregnant... I have a chance" he replied and stroked his tummy.

Cooper rolled his eyes, “yeah yeah”, he teased. He got up to go and make breakfast, “what do you want to eat?”
