Nolan looked at Thomas and then clenched his teeth slightly, feeling a sharp pain in his back.
"Thomas? Help me please," he begged

Thomas was dishing up their food but once he heard Nolan asking for help he put everything down. He wrapped an arm around his waist and led him to a sofa. “Is this okay?”

Nolan thanked him as he lay back on the couch with a quiet hiss.
"I hurt badly..." he explained while massaging his back

“Here, let me”, Thomas said, sitting beside Nolan and massaging his back. “How long until the baby is born now?”, he asked, “it can’t be more than a couple of months”.

"Do you know how to count?" he asked somewhat irritated, but then took a deep breath and apologized for his rudeness. "10 weeks, but the doctor will determine the due date in 8-10 weeks. It all depends on how the baby reacts and on my lifestyle."

Thomas lifted his hands and shrugged at Nolan’s rudeness, leaving right after to finish the food. He brought it out on some plates and they sat on the sofa and ate.

Nolan ate the prepared meal with relish, and then put the empty plate back on the table.
"Sorry," he whispered to his partner, "I've been having mood swings lately. You're screwed with me," he joked and kissed him on the cheek "But do you still love me?" he asked cuddling into him tightly

“It’s okay”, Thomas replied, smiling down at Nolan, he took away the empty plate and put them in the dishwasher.

He pulled Nolan closer, enjoying the warmth from his body, “of course I still love you”.

Nolan smiled wider and looked at his partner with great joy.
"Do you have plans for Halloween?" he asked him, snuggling even more securely into his body

Thomas shrugged, “I got invited to some parties but I think I’d rather stay home and watch scary films with you”.

Nolan looked him in the eye with seriousness.
"Are you sure? If you want to then go. I don't want to clip your wings," he replied and stroked his neck, "But it would be nice to have a party here.... Just for the two of us.... I mean the three of us."

Thomas nodded, “yeah, that’s what I want to do, I’d rather wake up tired rather than hungover.” He looked down at his phone to see the time, “should we go lay down in your room?”

"Will you carry us?" he asked quietly, and then tried to kiss him "I'll make it up to you."

He didn’t say anything but lifted his boyfriend up, carrying him upstairs and through the hallways, into Nolan’s bedroom. “Here we go”

Nolan as he lay down on the bed with Thomas' help, he looked at him stroking his cheek.
"I have such a strong man," he replied with a small smile and put his arms around his neck, looking into his eyes

He laughed, giving Nolan a kiss and then laying beside him. Thomas wrapped his arm around Nolan’s waist and rested his hand on the bump. “I can’t believe that schools starting back up tomorrow”, he groaned.

"And what will I do? I'll be alone since morning without my guy" he joked and kissed him lightly on the lips "We're keeping our fingers crossed for you, we love you" he replied tenderly and hugged him tightly

Thomas had almost forgotten that Nolan had finished his online school early- so that he could focus on his pregnancy and birth. “Well, you can rest but if I’m in class when you go into labour you must call me, okay?”

"That's eight weeks..." he whispered and grabbed his hand tightly "I hope you cut the umbilical cord when the baby is born," he replied with a smile and a satisfied chuckle

“I think I want to”, Thomas said, looking serious. “Are you giving birth at home or at the hospital?”, he asked.
