Peter caught his husband's hand when he wanted to say something to their son. It stopped him.

Meanwhile, Denis was given reinforcing drugs by beta nurses. He was resting after the intense intercourse with Alpha.

"Professor..." called out the nurse, "I know it's an emergency, but..." she leaned toward him "Luna of the neighboring herd has arrived. She's advanced in pregnancy and hasn't felt the puppies' movements for 24 hours."

Phoenix thought for a moment after the information given to him by the nurse, he walked into the hospital room with the nurse and he said to the one of the nurses, “Please bring a ultrasound machine! We will need to see if the pups are still alive and safely extract them out with a C-Section.”

The nurse quickly went to get the ultrasound machine. Luna of the neighboring herd lay in a private room. His alpha was on the way.

Phoenix waited for the nurses to bring the ultrasound machine into the private hospital room, he brought the Luna up to speed with the progress of his pregnancy and he was gentle with his wording to the Luna trying not to scare him.

The man listened to him very carefully and tried to remain relatively calm, although he was very worried about his puppies.
When the ultrasound was over he turned to him cautiously.
"Are you the son of Mr. Professor Rodney Taylor?" he asked quietly, "My husband.... My alpha has a very good opinion of you..."

“I am Dr. Taylor’s eldest son. My name is Dr. Phoenix Taylor and I am glad to hear your husband has a good opinion. I can confidently say, you are in good hands.” Phoenix said back to the Luna and he took the ultrasound scans from the nurse with a smile.

Omega lay quietly in bed, touching his stomach with care. He noticed a security guard outside the door. His Alpha was very possessive of him and had hired assistant security guards to look after his welfare.
"Are the puppies well?" he asked quietly after a while with anxiety. His pheromones had soured somewhat.

Phoenix didn’t take much notice to the security guards posted outside of the hospital room, he finished up using the ultrasound machine and he said back to the Luna softly, “The pups are doing very well and moving along quite nicely. We don’t need to a C-Section.”

Omega sighed in relief and looked at him gratefully.
"Thank you, doctor... But why haven't they moved for the last 24 hours? Is that normal?" he asked

“Well one of the pups is in position to come out so if you want we can do a C-Section to get the pups or the one pup out so you give birth to the others naturally. It’s all up to you, Luna.” Phoenix said back to the Luna carefully and soft in tone of voice.

Luna looked serious. He began to play impatiently with his hands.
"It's a difficult decision... I'd like to wait with it for my Alpha, okay?" he asked quietly.

“Of course, I’ll leave you two to discuss.” Phoenix said quickly as he did noticed the Luna was playing with his hands impatiently and he quietly left the hospital room with a smile on his face.

Inn nurse approached him.
"Denis has fallen asleep. We've hooked up his fluids and he's resting," she said in a whisper

Phoenix sighed out of relief, he smiled at the nurse and he said back to the nurse in response, “Thank you, nurse. I’ll go and check on him.” He started to walk off towards the hospital room that Denis was in.

Denis lay curled up in a ball. A bandage was gently made on his neck where Phoenix had bitten him. Omega slept soundly while the drip flowed into the venflon. A beta nurse was sitting by the room. At the sight of Alpha she rose.
"I gave a fever medicine.... His temperature went up a bit," she replied

"I know, nurse. Thank you for taking care of him but I have it from here." Phoenix said back to the beta nurse with a smile on his face, he went closer to Denis's side and he trailed his large strong hand throughout the omega's soft hair.

Denis moved in his sleep. He snuggled his head more tightly into the pillow. His pheromones calmed down. Now he lay peacefully covered with blankets. He looked innocent when he slept like that.

Phoenix watched Denis in awe, he smiled down at the sleeping omega happily and he went over to the sofa chair in the corner of the hospital room to sit down.

Denis opened his eyes slightly after two hours of slumber. He looked at the ceiling, blinking his eyes to get used to the light. He felt a slight numbness in his body. He grabbed his head.
"Where am I?"

Phoenix had fallen asleep in the sofa chair in the corner of the room, he snorted his nose quickly and he woke up after Denis spoke. He looked at Denis immediately, he quickly shot up from the sofa chair and he walked up to Denis saying in response, "You're still at work, Denis. You reacted to the bite mark I left..."
