Dr. Sommer nodded and smiled. "Okay, then I will bring you one of those shirts and a pair of socks. Or do you want to wear your owns ??", he asked with a smile.

He nods, grabbing some socks that are fuzzy to keep your feet extra warm.

Dr. Sommer nodded and started to laugh. "Alright, that's well prepared", he said and went to the door. "I'll be back in some minutes. Put on your socks and get under the blanket and just try to relax", he said with a smile and left the room.

He puts them on, going under the overs and sighing. He rests his hands on her stomach.

As promised, Dr. Sommer came back about 2 minutes later and held a big white T-Shirt in his hands, approaching Eric's bed and giving it to him. "Alright.......this is your T-Shirt, should be your size", he said friendly, waiting for him to put it on.

He puts it on, it comes down to his knees just like he said it would. "Thank you."

"You're welcome", said the doctor and smiled. Then he went to the end of the bed. "Eric, would you mind pulling the blanket back and spreading your legs for me, so that I could take a quick look, if there already is a dilation ??", he asked with a calm voice.

He nods, pulling up the blankets and spreading his legs.

Dr. Sommer took a chair from the wall and sat down at the end of the bed, looking between Eric's legs. "Oh, that's great.........", he said after some seconds. "You are already dilated up to 4 centimeters", he added with a smile, slowly stood up and pulled the blanket down again.

He smiles. "That's good.. How long do you think I'll be in labor for?" He asks.

Dr. Sommer considered the question. "Well, as the dilation of 5 centimeters came quite quickly now, I think........well.......I think that we should be ready in about 1,5-2,5 hours...........but I can't tell you exactly now how long the actual birth will take", he replied and went next to Eric's side.

He nods before suddenly tensing. "Ten minutes on the nose.." He grunts.

Dr. Sommer grabbed his shoulder gently again and nodded. "Stay calm, Eric. Everything is going to be alright. Just breathe through the pain.........in, out, in, out...........you're doing good", he whispered and looked at his watch again.

He nods, shakily doing so. "In and out.." He repeats.

Dr. Sommer nodded. "That's it, Eric.......it'll over in a few seconds", he whispered, trying to calm the young man.
After some seconds, the contraction faded and Eric seemed to relax again. "40 seconds", Dr. Sommer said. "That's a good and fast progress", he added and smiled.

He nods, closing his eyes. He was already sweating and uncomfortable.
