"I know it isn't much consolation, but the only thing you need to tell yourself is 'this too shall pass'. You'll be fine in the end."

"Thanks, I guess." Cormac stood up.

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"You are welcome. One day, you will understand how important these words are."

[Eskal]

Cormac nodded and left the room.

Down in the lobby, Vincent and Astien were sitting and chatting, with Astien stroking his belly.

[Eskal]

Cormac walked up to them, but said nothing as they continued to chat.

Astien turned to Cormac. "There you are. He hefted himself out of his seat with a bit of effort, and bid goodbye to Vincent, who went back upstairs. "So, how did it go?"

[Eskal]

"It went well, I guess. He just said I had to deal with it."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

Astien frowned. "I guess there's not much you can say in this kind of situation." H replaced a sympathetic hand on Cormac's shoulder. "I'm sorry, Cormac."

[Eskal]

"It's fine."

[FweepFwopFwoop]

"Let's go home. I'll make you some nice hot cocoa, with a ton of whipped cream, a nice wafer stick, and a cherry."

[Eskal]

"That sounds nice."

Astien smiled. Upon arriving home, he began making the promised treat. Meanwhile, the other were in the living room, listening to a record play.

"Oh no! Tem's been bitten by a vampire!"
"It's okay, Nirva, I'd never do anything… to… hurt… you…"
"Tem? Tem?"
"Muahahaha, I thirst for blood! Nirva, my sweet, i bet yours is wonderful."
"(Shrill shriek)"
"Will Nirva survive her lover's new form? Will Tem ever be alive again? Listen to our next record to find out!"

[Eskal]

Marius poked the fire with an iron rod. "Enjoy your outing Cormac?"
Cormac just shrugged as he sat down in a chair.

"Where's the next record, where's the next record?" Delas whined. "I wanna know what happens next!"

I'Karis, meanwhile, was digging through the records. "Not sure why you're so interested; the production value on this series is remarkably cheap, and the writing…"

"Shut up and put it on!" Delas said. Heceril, meanwhile, was nowhere to be seen. Music was faintly heard from beneath the floorboards, suggestin he was in the basement.

[Eskal]

Marius got up and headed to investigate the basement.

Delas followed Marius. "Whatcha doing?"

[Eskal]

"Investigating the basement," Marius said simply. "I thought I heard something."

"Oh yeah, Heceril's down there. He took one of the other phonographs down there so he could listen to music while he does something. He said he was going to 'chase te vapor princess'. I'm not entirely certain what that means, but he said I shouldn't do it until I'm older."

[Eskal]

"Well, if that's the case, then we should leave him be," Marius said as he turned back to the living room. He went into the kitchen. "How's everything in here?"
