Nate sat and watched as the first batter went up to plate. He was still contracting heavily and was glad that he wasn't up to bat until the 8th place. He stood at the fence in the dugout and watched, holding on tightly as contractions came like walls of pain

Josh was sitting near Nate, it offered a little relief for the pressure his babies were putting on his back, watching as the first batter waddled to first base. Although he would not admit it he was terrified about the labor, while he was no expert he knew enough to know it would be painful. How Nate was playing amazed him. That he had barely entered it, if at all, comforted and scared him when so many of his team mates were so far along.
(sorry about the delay, it is finals time at my college so there will be little from me through next week.)

Nate watched the other players on his team go out and hit, he knew some of them were in labor just like him but they were just as determined to finish the game. One more out and the game would be done and it would be time to have the babies. He looked over at Josh and gave a small smile as he saw the nurses and midwives coming up to prepare to help the men make their way to the birthing rooms.
(its all good.. I was out of town anyways)

Josh watched as one by one his teammates went up to bat, even those who were well into labor. He admired those players, they also made him glad that he was barely into his labor, if he even was, he knew he would not be playing if he was as far in as some of them. He turned and looked at Nate, he did not know how he was still playing.

The last batter went up to the batters box, Nate knew the man was in full blown labor like him and wasn't surprised when he struck out. The game was called over and Nate and Josh's team had won. Nate was happy but also ready to get his babies out of him. He had been in labor for so long he forgot what it felt like to not be in labor. He looks over at Josh and gives a small smile " Nice game"

"Just don't leave me" Nate says "You don't seem to be in labor at all do you think you can help me deliver these babies?"

Nate nodded a thank you as he felt a contraction coming, he had been so focused on the game before that he had pretty much forgotten about them. He gripped his belly and tried not to scream. His face looking strained from the tremendous amount of pressure he was feeling

Josh said "let it out, no one will blame you" and waited till the contraction had passed before getting up and walking to where the nurses were set up. He returned with a cool washcloth that laid on Nate and told him that someone would be here for professional help as soon as they could.

Nate breathed through another contraction "I don't know dude. I don't think these babies want to wait!" He said in a panicked tone

"Don't fight it, you have fought it too long already, I just wanted to have someone professional here" Josh comforted. After a moment of thinking Josh blurted out in one breath "I'm sorry if you don't want a nurse, I am just freaking out and over protective of you right now because I am so out of my comfort zone and it keeps me from driving myself insane."

"I know im sorry. You know how I am though. Im not good around people I don't know. And I really just want to get these babies out. Lets not bother the nurses. Hopefully I will get my babies out before you go into full blown labor. But if you want you can call the nurse. I would understand but I really need to push I can feel the first baby right there and ready to come out"

"No I just told them to have someone on the ready looking for me freaking out. I won't call them unless you ask me to or something happens." Josh confessed before asking "do you want me to help you move somewhere else?" Realizing they were still in the dugout.

"Thats fine" Josh moves to help Nate get his pants off but it takes a minute to maneuver into a spot he can do anything with his own heavily pregnant dome.

"thank you" Nate says when josh gets his pants off. He tries to move into a comfortable enough position for both him and his heavily pregnant friend, he didn't even care that he was now completely naked he was just ready to get the babies out
