RJ laughed and growled back in the same playful manner, he shook his head lightly but his ear stayed right where it was in Kodi's mouth. He swiped a paw outward though, knocking Kodi's own paw off the ground and lowering him - this happened to dislodge his ear and that's when he pounced, landing over top of Kodi - he quickly turned around and pinned his larger body across Kodi's.
He bared his teeth, and then, with the gentlest of bites that such a large wolf could manage, he gripped Kodi's scruff with his teeth and huffed "And now you can't either." RJ declared with a happy and small yip; although it was muffled too, by the scruff in his mouth.
Kodi's body would definitely be dwarfed underneath RJ's body, but his playful demeanor still showed no signs of aggression, even with his sharp teeth biting at Kodi's flesh; the playfulness was just that - play. He had no intentions of dominating Kodi with his body, despite the fact that it did happen to be a dominating factor in their size differences.
He did not want to hurt Kodi, though, and released his scruff after several minutes, licking the fur down with his tongue; he kept his body above Kodi's the entire time, his large front paws right beside Kodi's much smaller ones.

Kodi was trying not to laugh- he didn’t want to accidentally release the captured alpha’s ear from his grip. He was pleased with himself for trapping the alpha- but it was all over too soon. RJ tripped him with huge paw, and with a yelp he fell to the ground. It was over so so fast. He attempted to get right back up and attempt to snatch up that ear once more- maybe be a little rougher.
Before he knew it, RJ had pinned him to the ground. He whimpered at the growls and sharp teeth; squirming to escape the grip but to no avail. He yelped dramatically at the bite- but r didn’t hurt. He was fine. “I’m stuck!” He growled playfully, trying to wiggle away. He leaned forward, trying to catch his mouth on anything within reach, but RJ was tall enough that he could simply hold his head out of reach of the omega. He huffed in annoyance at being unable to reach and pathetically reaches out a paw, even the little toes stretching out to reach him.
His tail wagged- he did quite enjoy being under RJ. He was warm and soft and he was quite snuggly. He reached up and pawed at his chest fur, looking up at him with a playful grin. When RJ lowered his head, he licked on his muzzle when it was within reach. He innocently stared back at him with a pleased smile.

RJ lowered himself fully on top of Kodi, their bodies - even with the size differences - seemed to align perfectly. It would be a bit obvious that their rough housing had started to affect RJ, but he did not let that part of himself touch Kodi, for fear that the young Omega would think that all he wanted was to take control of his body.
RJ nuzzled and Kodi's face and throat, licking occasionally against his face "I don't think... feeling this way should happen so soon." RJ said quietly, pressing the tip of his nose against Kodi's nose and staring down into the moss green eyes below him "Do you believe in the soulmate legend, Kodi?" RJ asked curiously.
RJ had his hindquarters on the inside of Kodi's hindquarters, in this odd position they found themselves in, and the curved portion of RJ's back legs were fitting like a puzzle piece to Kodi's back legs, his paws still above Kodi's head, their chests and stomachs were touching; the only part of them that wasn't physically touching was RJ's very lower regions, and for very good and obvious reasons; should Kodi look down that way.

Kodi comfortably laid in the grassy forest floor while RJ carefully lowered himself down onto him. He happily basked in the attention and warmth, not wanting to move at all. His tail wagged, and he brushed it against RJ’s on purpose to tease him a little with it. The omega reached a paw foreword to press against the alpha’s chest, and be lightly stroked it with his little paw before returning it back to his body.
The omega enjoyed all the licks and affection he was receiving and he closed his eyes peacefully. It was so lovely to be at peace and be so close with someone. “I’ve never felt this way before..”he murmured. “Maybe it is supposed to feel this way?” He adds quietly, eyes looking up to meet the alpha’s. When asked a question, he readily nods. “I do believe that,” he says softly.
“Do you believe in it, RJ?” Asked Kodi softly as he looked up at the large alpha. He slightly leaned up his head to lick his nose, and then he lowered his fluffy head back against the soft grass once again. The scene was beautiful- sunlight pouring in from all over, higher grass surrounding them, the noise of the river going by, and many other things added to the lovlyness.

RJ almost gasped when Kodi's tail made contact with his own - of course, Kodi would not know how sensitive and what an erogenous spot his tail happened to be. He managed to wriggle his tail away from Kodi's questing tail and kept it high in the air and on the move so it could not be touched or captured again. Despite not gasping though, a shudder ran through RJ's body, vibrating Kodi along with him. RJ licked at the paw that had extended to his chest before it disappeared again.
RJ nuzzled the side of Kodi's face again, sniffing and cataloging the young Omega's unique and euphoric scent "I have no choice but to believe it - I have seen it happen before, once... and..." RJ looked directly at Kodi from a side-view with the way their heads were positioned next to the others "I'm feeling it, experiencing it, seeing it, right now and right here with you..."
RJ licked at Kodi's nose again, scooting his entire body to be closer to Kodi; he couldn't help himself, wanting to be this close to the Omega. To be with him in every way possible - he just didn't want to scare him; and it was quickly becoming hard to keep his control in check. Kodi would definitely feel the arousal that RJ had been trying to hide, now that he had moved his legs closer to Kodi's legs; it was very obvious, and likely a lot scarier and larger, even just the head of his sheathed cock alone - since that was the only part of his erection that was poking at Kodi at the moment.
He still did not want to ruin the moment and the love that seemed to be blossoming though, and refused to acknowledge the things happening below his hindquarters.

Kodi waves his tail around. He only managed to catch the alpha’s tail once, but he swiftly pulled it away and held it out of reach so Kodi couldn’t touch it again. After that, he kept the soft tail low to the ground, still lightly waving against the soft grass.
He was pleased at the alpha lowering his head, and he pressed his own into his, licking and cuddling at him. “I’ve only heard stories..” he said softly, looking at RJ with his wide green eyes. “I had never seen it happen before- until now,” he purred softly, lightly pawing the side of his face with a small outreached paw.
The omega certainly noticed RJ getting closer to him- if that was possible at all. He reached both paws to pull RJ’s head down, and when he did he lightly licked his muzzle and the fur between his eyes. He nuzzles up against him and sighed content, pressing himself even closer to the alpha. He wanted him closer..

RJ pulled his head back just a fraction of an inch, looking down at Kodi with a very serious expression... "Do you... Do..." he huffed out a breath in annoyance - had to pull his own head out of his ass on this one and grow a pair - "Do you want to complete the cycle? Mate with me, for life, Kodi?" RJ asked in a very serious tone.
Without doing much more, RJ made sure to position his lower half away from Kodi again - he would not do anything until it was confirmed, one way or the other; of course, he hoped that Kodi would agree to being mates for life, but he could not push anything on the young Omega; it was not his style and it was certainly not his packs style - it never had been, even with Parker leading the pack, they had kept that one rule stoically in place.
RJ would wait, if he had too, until Kodi was perfectly ready to accept the responsibilities that came with not only mating for life, but mating the alpha of a pack - it was... a double edged sword, being with RJ and he did not wish anyone into it, unless they were truly ready.

Kodi would’ve kept licking and cuddling on his face, but he got free of his grasp and slightly pulled away. Kodi noticed the serious expression and be flattened his ears. Did he do something wrong? He listened intently, cocking his head to the side as RJ seemed to stammer over his words. Finally he was able to get the whole question out, and now Kodi needed to come up with an answer.
To him it was an obvious yes- he had never felt this close to someone. The soulmate legend was true and it actually hapened to him! It was no longer a tale that was told and passed around. It was real. The omega nodded his head. “Yes, RJ, I do,” he replies firmly, lovingly looking up towards the alpha. His eyes looked so trusting and wide.
He leaned his head up to lick on his nose. Luckily he was in his wolf form- had he been in his human form he would have been a blushing red faced mess. It’s so much easier to hide it when you have fur all over you’re face!
Kodi has decided yes- he wanted to. This was so special to him, and he thought it would only get better from here.. He would have a mate, a home again, maybe even a family, should RJ want pups. Considering he was a pack leader, the answer to that was most likely yes.

RJ was swift and didn't waste a moment after Kodi had agreed to complete the mating ritual that they had started. It was everything that RJ wanted, looked for, needed in his life and he was more than happy, more than willing, to share that with Kodi. The Crimson Pack had finally gotten another 'True Mate' couple, in the hours that RJ and Kodi spent in the grass together. It was loud, it was rough and it was perfect.
RJ laid flat in the grass, several hours after the fact, panting still and with his eyes closed - they were now bonded forever, and they would now be able to sense each other, no matter where in the world they were. Fear, Happiness, Anger, all of it would be felt between the bond that they now shared. RJ let his happiness and contentment stretch wide inside of himself; it was a heady feeling, altogether, finally being bonded to someone.
After another few minutes of basking in the afterglow that only came with a great bonding experience, he opened his eyes and turned his head to look at Kodi who was lying right beside him "Kodi..." he called quietly, scooting over closer to his mate, he nipped Kodi's ear lightly and nudged his nose into the back of Kodi's head "Thank you, for making me... Making me feel complete, whole... loved." RJ said sincerely, looking down at his mate with happiness shining in his brown eyes.
"Do you want to know anything about me? I mean... I know that the bond is like getting a glimpse into the other person's life... essentially, but... I'm..." RJ shrugged a shoulder slightly, as best as a wolf could anyhow, and laid his head against Kodi's chest "I want you to know, that you can ask me anything..."

Kodi curled up in the grass, pressed up against RJ. It was a lot- he wasn’t exhausted, but he was certainly tired. He panted softly and lazily stared at their surroundings. Having this bond was like opening up a whole new world to him, and he couldn’t focus on anything else. The little wolf was deep in thought until Rj snapped him out of it.
“Hm?” He said, turning his attention to his new mate. It was new, but he felt like he had already known him for a long time. He scooted closer and pressed his head into RJ’s neck, pressing himself into his fur and taking in that musky alpha scent once more. He affectionatly licked against his neck while RJ softly spoke to him. “I should be thanking you,” the little wolf muttered softly. He didn’t have to be alone anymore.. he was loved, and now had a special bond tang couldn’t be replaced by anything in the world.
He listened silently, then shifted his fluffy brown head to look up. “Same to you,” he said softly. “You can ask me anything. I haven’t had a particularly interesting life.. but if you want to know anything I’ll tell you,” he said, wrapping a fuzzy arm on RJ best he could.

RJ nodded his head, nuzzling at Kodi with a smile "We should probably head back to the den area... I'm sure by now the rest of the pack is wondering where I've been all day..." RJ said, and with that he stood up on all fours and stretched himself out, yawning loudly - it was almost like a howl, with the way he stretched his neck back up into the air.
RJ trotted slowly, wanting Kodi to keep up with him and not get lost "You won't have to worry about them, I promise... They are friendly, and they'll take to you without problems." RJ nudged Kodi with his head and smiled; he knew his mate's fears now, and it was helpful to be able to practically read his thoughts "The women in particular will like you... They are very soft and lovable around other Omega's."
They traveled for about fifteen minutes before arriving at another large grassy area - there was one cavelike structure that held all of the wolves in the pack. "I don't sleep inside with everyone else... I hate being crowded around them." RJ whispered, and looked around his den area - all of the wolves were there and present; grouped off in their normal groups, chatting amongst themselves.
Once RJ and Kodi stepped into the main den area though, over fifty heads - of different colors, shapes, and sizes - snapped up and silence reigned over the den area. "I would like you all too meet, greet and welcome Kodi into the pack..." RJ announced loudly, "Any harm that you deliver to him, will be multiplied and you will be exiled or worse yet... This is your new Master Mate." RJ said with a proud smile in Kodi's direction.

Kodi yawnswd sleepily, not wanting to get up, but some persistent nudges from his mate made him rise. He slowly got up to his feet and stretched out his back. He yawned once more- all of his teeth showing as he did so. He snapped his jaws shut, and shook out his brown coat. “Hmm true.. they’re probably looking all over for you?”
The little wolf was at his alpha’s heels, trotting after him. He would have to walk faster because RJ was faster and had longer legs. Kodi on the other hand had shorter legs and wasn’t as fast as a large alpha. Luckily though, RJ slowed his pace so Kodi could follow at a relaxed pace.
As they got closer, scents of unfamiliar ones smacked him in the face. He turned his nose away and had a small bit of a panicked expression on his face. The little wolf did not do well with meeting strangers.. he sighed worriedly and looked up at the alpha as he told him about his pack. “I.. thank you. I feel a little better..” he responded, but he was still anxious.
The scents became stronger as they neared the main area. It was so new and overwhelming that he was having a tad difficult time focusing. “I would sleep with my packmates,” he responds. “It was mostly for warmth through.. cold winters,” he adds as he trots after his alpha at a quickened pace to keep up. He began to see the other wolves wandering about and speaking to each other.
He obediently followed into the main den, pelt brushing against RJ as he pressed himself close to him. He felt like everyone was looking at him. He was a stranger in this new place. It was at once that everyone quieted and looked towards their alpha silently. Kodi was amazed at this. His tail nervously wagged as he was being introduced and he bashfully leaned against RJ like a child. He flashed a small smile though, looking over everyone as they stared right back at him.

The pack - as RJ predicted - was welcoming and very friendly toward Kodi. Bringing the young wolf into their inner circles almost immediately. Also, like RJ predicted, the females of the pack took quickly to Kodi, whisking him away to talk - likely about RJ himself and what it's like being mated to the Pack Master.
RJ shook his head and snorted as he went back out of the den, laying in the grass just outside of the mouth of the cave so he would be close to his mate and his mate would in turn know where he was. It was definitely different, being mated to someone, always wanting to be near them - he was a loner, by trade, not exceptionally close to anyone, even his best friends.
Every few seconds, RJ felt like a dagger was being pushed against his chest, just from simply not having some sort of contact with Kodi. He trotted back into the den and found Kodi and the other Omega women talking... He sighed and laid down, curling his body around Kodi's body protectively; he didn't care what the women and Kodi were talking about - he just had to be near Kodi... To hear his heartbeat and smell his unique and still highly euphoric scent.
(We may very well need a time jump.)

Kodi was surprised at how welcomed and accepted he was. For the omega who was used to a small pack, this was a lot to have to meet everyone. There were so many wolves and it seemed like everyone wanted to talk to him! He pressed himself against RJ for comfort, but soon he grew tired of the crowds and crept away, leaving Kodi alone with all these new people.
The women soon took to Kodi, and he took to them as well, quite enjoying their company. He was very much enjoying talking to them, but the omega was starting to miss his alpha. Every now and then he would turn his head to get a look at him. Good.. he was still there. He rambled on their conversation, and this time when he turned around RJ wasn’t there. He looked for him, but soon saw him padding over.
He happily curled up under RJ, now drowning in his alpha scent and the warmth coming off of him. His tail wagged as the alpha pressed himself against him. He leaned his head up to lick his cheek, and then happily turned his attention back to the conversation he was having with the women. He was fully relaxed and happy to be with his new mate, and to make some friends!

A Few Weeks Later:
RJ stretched out lazily by the river, yawning widely and soaking up the summer/fall sun while he still had a chance - it was almost winter now and lazing about in the snow was not his idea of a fun time. Most of the Omega's - Kodi included - had just gone through their heat cycles and everyone was pretty much in their 'lazy hours' after four nights of coupling.
More pups were about to be born into the Crimson pack and RJ was proud that he was bringing the Crimson Wolves back to their former glory of having a lot of other shifters to depend on. He just hoped that his True Mate was also one of the wolves that happened to be carrying pups around. They had never really discussed having pups together, but it was the natural order of things and they both had accepted that this was how things were meant to happen.
Of course, once the winter months came, they would have to leave the den area and head back to civilization; and he hoped that Kodi would be okay going back into the nearby town that RJ lived at. His house was large enough that they could keep their pups there, as well as be in both their human or their wolf form without problem.

Kodi rested with RJ in their favorite spot- next to the river where they had met. It was relaxing and beautiful and familiar here. He wiggled into his back, exposing his belly to the warm sun. It seemed to almost make his fur sparkle. He loved the warm sun, and he was dreading the upcoming winter. Cold nights and cold days. Cold rivers too- no more swims! He had spent all his winters outside thoug- he had never visited a warm home in the city to stay in for the winter. He had been in cities before- that wasn’t new.
He was slightly sore, a little tired, but that was expected after what the mated pair had done. He hoped it would result in a litter of pups. For the first time he was excited to go into heat and be around an alpha, which was nothing like he’d ever felt before. All he knew with that situation was fear, and to hide. Not anymore though.
He shifted closer to RJ and sighed contently, burying his face in his alpha’s neck. He yawned a little and faced upwards to look at him. “Hopefully we’ll have pups this year,” he mumbled into the fur. If it didn’t work, they’d have to wait for Kodi to go into heat again. They hadn’t much spoke about children, but it just seemed right and normal to him. He wanted a family.

RJ nuzzled Kodi's neck as well, then licked and nipped at his ear lightly "We will have pups, darlin'. I assure you that no Omega has ever not conceived when mating with a Jackson... You probably have a litter growing and squirming inside of you already, you just don't know it - yet." RJ said with a wolfish smile.
"I do hope they come before the winter season though... It would be very difficult bringing you, as pregnant as you would be, back into the city - How would I explain to my neighbors why I am bringing a pregnant wolf home?" RJ chuckled and shook his head "Sometimes I wish that we could just expose who we are, so we did not have to live in fear of someone seeing us as our true selves..."
RJ raked his tongue over the side of Kodi's face and then nuzzled back close with his mate, curling his tail over Kodi's stomach and wagging it back and forth lightly - it would definitely be a ticklish sensation, his soft red fur running across the sensitive underbelly of Kodi's.

Kodi’s muzzle twitched into a smile while getting groomed and nuzzled by his mate. He reached out a paw to press it against the alpha’s cheek, seeming to pet it gently. “Hmm.. in that case I can’t wait for our pups to arrive,” the little wolf said happily, imagining a litter of cute little red puppies running around. He wagged his tail at the thought, knowing that he was most likely already pregnant.
He listened to his alpha speak, and just nodded. “Well.. we could always go in at night? That way your neighbors might be asleep?” He suggested. “It might be hard bring in all the pups back if they’re already born though..” he mused, thinking about holding all he tiny babies in his arms. He wondered how big of a litter they’d have.
“That would be easy, wouldn’t it? To blend in with people?” He says and licks the tip of his nose. “Maybe being a normal human isn’t that bad?” He wondered aloud. He chuckled softly as RJ’s tail brushed over his stomach, and he curled up his legs in defense. The tickling made him shiver and he tried to get away from the fluffy tail.

RJ sighed and stretched a paw out over Kodi's chest, snuggling close to his Omega with a content smile on his face "I suppose going in at night would be easier, if you were still pregnant when winter came." RJ said, nodding his head slightly "Although I do not think it would be hard to bring the litter back to the city should they be born before hand... I would bring a carrier with me, should you give birth before winter comes, this way we can load them up in that and travel easier."
RJ shrugged a wolfish shoulder and paused his tail from moving across Kodi's stomach "It's not so bad being around regular people... They sometimes wonder about my eyes glowing to brightly, but other than that... It's almost... normal." RJ turned his head to the side and stuck the tip of his nose into Kodi's ear, the wet and cold touching his heated flesh - after effects from the heat cycle that he had gone through.
RJ sniffed and sighed quietly "You will have a strong litter, Kodi... I can already sense it."

Kodi nods, resting a furry arm across RJ. “Less questions..” he said quietly. “Might be weird to get caught by your neighbors during the day, huh?” He wondered what it would be like living among people. It would probably be just fine if they kept their wolf sides hushed and hid them from everyone else. Having the pups in a warm home would strongly aid in their survival. They’d be warm, safe, and well fed and wouldn’t have to fight against harsh elements until they were older around the spring.
“I forget how different humans are sometimes,” he said with a chuckle. “Their eyes don’t shine.. and their senses aren’t as strong.” He says. “They’re too soft,” the omega adds, tucking his head against RJ’s chest. He shivered at the cold nose in his warm ear.
“You can?” He asked curiously, looking up at his mate.
