he chuckles lightly "Well you did just have a foal, you shouldn't be alone" he says with a smile and takes him to the biggest bed and lays down with him pulling him close to snuggle.

"Your very kind how did you come to be here your not from the herd either?" He asked hand on his flank. He leaned into him watching willow from the corner of his eeye.

he gives a sigh "The herd leader died and there was a jostle for power, i wanted nothing to do with it so i just left" he says "I was the biggest and strongest at the time, so everyone was pushing me to become the leader but i didnt and dont want it"

Soto slept soundly his breaths soft. He looked so peaceful. His hair fell over his face and his one hand was on Darnell flank. His legs were folded under him and his already tiny frame looked so fragile.

Mormimg came willow was gone. When Soto opened his eyes and didnt see her he panicked. He shook Darnell awake.

Darnel was already awake and aware, he just hushed him and nodded "i know, i know, she is ok" he says and points out the tent where she can be seen froliking and playing with other foals "I have an eye on her and the rest of the herd is watching"

Soto took a deep breath calming his racing heart. "Wake me next time I almost had a heart attack. " he said hand over his heart. He wasn't used to her not being close so he was early spooked. He watched her play and smiled.

"To nearly kill mother more like it." He said resting against him. "Ima go get her so she can eat she needs to." He said standing up cearfuly. He still limped but it wasn't as noticeable. He walked over to willow and took her hand. Before he could stop her shed dove under him and latched on.

he chuckled watching and shook his head "She must be starving... impatient little one" he says. he would try to get up, but his body was aching from his wounds and he was struggling not to be panting from the pain.

Soto looked up seeing a pained expression on Darnell face. He was concerned about him being in pain. Hed got find the healer when willow had finished her meal.
