"You don't think there's a limit?"He asked him, looking down now to watch as his hands traveled the expanse of his low middle,"You don't think that one day our brood would be big enough for us?"He smiled slightly and placed one of his hands on top of his mound, feeling their offspring shift around inside of him for a moment as the water ran over them.

James shrugs lightly. "One day, maybe. When they're big enough to have pups of their own."

Tobias thought about that, smiling softly and nodding as he leant his head against the other man's shoulder, then pulled away,"I'm going to go check on the kids."He told him, pushing his hair out of his eyes and leaning up to kiss him, then stepping carefully out of the tub to grab a robe and wrap it around himself.

James watches Tobias disappear out of the bathroom before he finds himself running his fingers along the stitches for a minute or two before he turned off the shower and slipped out to dry off and slip on some sweat pants. He was still tired, and sore, but all of that could wait as far as he was concerned.

The human shuffled into the youngest pups room, instantly greeted by more than just a few of the batch as the pranced over to him. He kneeled carefully down to them, holding out his arms,"You all are up early."He mentioned as they nuzzled him and licked at his face, standing back up straight with an armful of pups and heading off to the see if the older pups were awake yet. He heard Jasmine and little James move from the bathroom after brushing their teeth for school, sighing and smiling at their independence slightly. Moving towards the stairs, letting the pups follow him down behind him and rubbing his belly slowly as he went to the kitchen to fix the twins lunch and breakfast for all of them.

While Tobias was tending to the lunches and breakfast James takes a quick look over Jasmine and little James' homework before making sure they had all of their things. Some of the younger pups made their way into the living room to play while Tobias cooked.

It didn't take long for him to get the oldest twins all bundled up for school, giving them their lunches and bookbags before going out with them to wait on the porch for the school bus. A full hour passed before he felt another real contraction and it was when he was watching the bus drive off after picking the oldest children up. Leaving him with the youngest pups and James who he was hoping would stay home after the ordeal from yesterday, he doesn't think he could handle another scare like that.

The younger pups were still keeping themselves occupied with their toys. Tobias wasn't aware when James came up behind him as he stood on the porch, James' hand moving to the small of Tobias' back applying faint pressure until the contraction had passed.

Tobias didn't notice that he was frowning pain until he felt James's hand in the small of his back, smiling softly and leaning back into his lovers grasp with a heavy exhale. His breath still came out in short huffs of smoky condensation and he rubbed both hands over his rounded middle,"I'm still upset at you."He mentioned, glancing back over his shoulder at James, reaching up to run his fingers through his hair.

"I know" James leans down to nuzzle Tobias' cheek softly before they both head back inside to work on breakfast. For the moment it was better to keep the fact that Tobias was in labor to themselves.

Tobias turned away with a sigh, walking back inside with James, his hands on his heavy middle while he checked on the waffles in the oven. What they had an argument about wasn't clear, it wasn't a bad one, though a very relevant one to their entire family. The contractions were slow to come and not that painful at most, though they did keep him from speaking at times for a brief moment. He began to waddle more heavily with the pressure moving lower inside of him and couldn't help needing to stay on his feet as it did.

The contractions didn't begin to worsen until noon. James was occupied with getting the pups down for a nap, Tobias making his way upstairs to check on the most recent addition who was still sleeping soundly on the bed. Tobias paced the room a few times, his hands traveling the expanse of his stomach as the pressure between his legs grew.

Tobias was too caught up in the pain of his most recent contraction to check on the two newest additions, he pressed his knuckle into his mouth. A deep grimace on his face as he rocked his hips furiously from side to side as the pressure within him grew more and more. His hips aching with the feeling, he whimpered and leant against the wall beside the bathroom door. His other hand rubbing his lower belly in attempt to soothe the uncomfortable feeling, groaning low into his arm and shuddering.

James finishes win the kids before making his way into the bedroom before making his way over to Tobias. James squeezes his shoulders lightly before running his hands down Tobias' back.

James does as Tobias asks. He moves over to the bed to look over the newborns while also keeping an eye on his laboring mate. Everything was still rocky between them, or so it seemed to be.

His hand moved downwards to curl around his belly, rubbing it slowly and leaning back first against the wall as he moaned quietly in discomfort. He tilt his head forwards with his chin pressed against his sternum, sinking down to sit on the floor, braced against the wall and the dresser with both hands rubbing over his distended middle. "Fuck."He crossed his legs at the ankle, curling forwards slightly and moving one hand to press the fist into his back, there was a lot of heaviness with no where to go.

James continues to watch him. He knew this was painful, of course it was, and he wanted nothing more than to go to Tobias, to comfort him as best he could. But Tobias wanted to be alone for now, so James stayed where he was.

It took Tobias another hour or so, just suffering through contraction after harsh contraction as he laid on his side now, mouth open and huffing heavily into his arm. While the other slung over his middle, face twisted up in pain and shuddering with his legs spread wide and stomach tensing up with the next pain. He whined, sweating now as he shook his head, groaning and arching his back while his body began bearing down.

Tobias continued to suffer through the contractions, the pressure between his legs continuing to grow seemingly with each one. James watches as Tobias continues to try and get the head to crown, it not yet having moved through his pelvis.
