Jethro wound a hand around Alex, cupping his belly which had become his habit through the last few nights, and closed his eyes as well. It ahdn't been some time later that he heard some noise from thier door startling him awake. He carefully slipped off bed, gun in hand, as he sneaked up closer to the door figuring what's going on.

Alex felt Jethro get out of bed and opened his eyes, the it was the noise at the door that alerted him. Alex got up staying behind him and remaining quiet, he was still tired, his brain aware of the danger but still half asleep.

Jethro put a finger on his lips and quietly stood up to peek through the peephole, gun in hand ready to shoot. He was hearing mutterings and saw 2 men snooping around, seemingly want to barge in even though both were very drunk, their eyes bleary and their steps faltered. He couldn't determine if they were just too drunk to find their own room or was it they indeed wanted to come in, for wahtever reason.

Alex stayed back and remained quiet his eyes on Jethro, he really hoped it wouldn't come to them needing the gun, things didn't need to get messy here, not now. Still, he understood if they did need it at least they had it.

With hand gestures, he asked Alex to stay on bed and pretend to be asleep. If the 2 guys didn't leave in anther few minutes, he would open the door pretending to be awoken by the noise and ask them waht's the matter. It was an agonizingly long minute and eventually Jethro decided to face them. Either case, he should be able to subdue 2 drunk guys. He tugged the gun behind and opened the door, rubbing his eyes pretendin gto be just off bed.

Alex got the idea and laid back down covering himself in the blanket so even if the door was open and someone looked in his belly wouldn't be obvious right away. He had his eyes closed and kept his breathing even listening to to what was about to hapen.

"Hey misters, you should know not to stick around someone's room in the middle of the night!" Jethro said with a lot of annoyance as he pulled open teh door, yawning while keeping a close eye at the men. "what the fcuk are you doing lruking around my door? Piss of! Go get your own room." Even though he pretended to be at ease, he was quite ready to strike if they showed any intention of just barging into the room.

Alex was probably the only one who would have been able to sense the tenshion in Jethro's voice he remained quiet he knew Jethro could handle this there were just two men after all.

The 2 men grumbled something incoherent and then one of them just fell forward, which with a slight combat technique Jethro pushed him back and the drunk man just fell on the floor as a pile of mess. Jethro tugged up the other one by his collar and smashed him against the door, "open your eyes and look at the plate, is this your roon? No? Then leave!" He shoved him away, landing him right nextto his pal and slammed the door closed. He quietly returned beside Alex and whispered. "Should be harmless. Sorry, i could be too tensed here. Getting paranoid."

Alex was surprised by how quickly Jethro reacted but he remained quiet turning to the other side he let Jethro climb back into bed then he wraped his arms around him. "It's alright, will be taking off in a few hours anyway, try and go back to sleep." Alex said softly though for a few moments his eyes remained on the closed door. After a few minutes of quiet he relaxed again.

Jethro patted on Alex's back, wantin to reassure him that everuthing would be alright. He remained alert for another while, making sure it adnt been a deliberate probe from the town. He replayed the process, hoping he had shown enough physical ability and been natural enough dealing with the incident that had it been a test, he had at least past it.

He awoke about 6 the fallowing morning finding it hard to get back to sleep. He knew they hadn't planned to leave until 7 so he laid there for awhile before slowly pulling away from Jethro and getting dressed throwing his other cloths into a bag and glancing around the room to make sure they had grabbed things. He was still tried, he would have tried to go back to sleep but there was no point at the moment. The child was active enough he would have a lot of trouble falling back asleep.

Jethro wokr when his alarm at 630 went off, and was a bit surprised to see alex already ready waiting sitting on the sofa seat. "Up so early love?" He mumbled, needing a minute more to return to full consciousness. He yawned and stretched his arms before getting ready hinself. The packi.g was easy and they reached the front counter to a dozing receptionist before 7, who was too sleepy to even pay attentipn to their faces.

Alex nodded looking up at Jethro as the alarm went off. "The baby woke me up I couldn't sleep." He admitted but it didn't take long to get ready and they were on there way back outside and getting on the bike. He would be glad to be out of this town and they were leaving early so they could make good time today.

Jethro took over the bags to put them on the bike before gettin on. Alex followed him as thwy always do, geting in behind and just when they were about to start the engine, a bearish man from the oppsite side had caught them on nd startes yellin. "You... you two... faggots! There's a carriwr here! That guy's a those freaks carrying a baby!" He suddenly yelled ppinting at Alex.

Alex body tensed his gaze fell on the man yelling "Go." He said quickly he didn't want to deal with them and surly if they moved quickly they wouldn't be caught up with. He clung tightly to Jethro He wasn't sure what they would do if these people decided to try and chase after them.

Jethro roared the engine to life and soared down the road, not evem turning back any bit. They went down the road as fast as they could and quickly went on the highway, the town slowly shrinkint and eventially become just a small dot from the rear mirror. It's only then that Jethro could slightly loosen his grip on the bike and relaxed his tense muscles a bit. "You alright Alex?" He asked slightly turning aroind.

"Y-yea.. I'm ok are you?" He calmed down the farther away they got and eventually his tight grip on Jethro wasn't so hard. He looked around, it still looked like they were in the middle of nowhere but they were getting closer to the mountains Alex could see them in the distance now.

"Yea... yea. Phew that's a scare." A faint smile slowly crept up his lips. "Oh well, we made it out unscratched so that's some achievement. Just hopefully they wouldn't report to the authorities on discovering a carrier. We should be in the mountains by then though." He patted the hand around his waist and nudged slightly behind to address Alex.

Alex smiled the thought that people might still look for them concerned him a bit but he tried to not let it bother him to much.
It was late afternoon by the time they found a place to stop a small gas station in the middle of nowhere, it was pretty out here but the farther they went the less people there were. That wasn't necessarily bad though Alex got off the bike after Jethro rubbing his hands together to warm them up. The male was obviously tired. After everything that had happened last night and getting up so early.
