Kodai continued to rub and massage Anna's once aching back even after she slumbered. He laid down beside Anna, holding her close to him as he fell asleep as well.

Anna awoke early in the morning, before the sun with a sharp pain. She let a hiss escape her teeth, but tried to not wake Kodai.

Kodai awakened and gazed up at Anna as he was sleeping lightly, becoming very worried as he heard the sharp hiss of discomfort from Anna. "Anna .. are you alright?"

Kodai arose to a position of sitting upon the bed, placing his hand upon her stomach and rubbing it gently. "Did the baby wake you?" He questioned softly with much concern.

She nods, hoping these are just false labor pains.

Kodai frowned and embraced Anna close to him, feeling his concern about her grow.

Kodai smiled as he felt Anna nuzzle him, keeping his arms wrapped around her in a loving way.

Anna drifted back to sleep, before being awoken with another pain about a half hour later.

Kodai stayed asleep beside Anna, unknowing that she was in pain once again. He slumbered soundly, breathing softly with each moment that he was asleep.

Anna whimpered through it quietly. She wanted to sleep as much as she could since they were still far apart.

Kodai awakened in a few minutes as he heard Anna's soft whimpers, noticing that his beloved Anna was in distress. He knew that she was in pain and wanted to help her through it. He stroked her hair softly, trying to soothe her.

"Thank you," she whispers as the pain subsides. "I'm going to try and sleep more while I can."

"Okay." Kodai smiled softly at Anna, stroking her hair for a while longer before he fell back asleep beside her. He kept an alert ear just in case she would be in pain again.

Like clockwork, Anna began whimpering again in half an hour.

Kodai awoke once again, yawning and beginning to worry while he heard that Anna was in pain again. He frowned at his beloved, rubbing her stomach with both of his hands to soothe her again.

Kodai tried not to worry about Anna's labor pains as much, laying back down beside her upon the bed while going back to sleep after a while.
