"What's your blood pressure usually?" she asks, getting the cuff out of the cabinet.

"120/80. Normal for me." Ryne said.

"Good." she quickly takes his blood pressure. "127/81" she says, removing the cuff. "Any questions or concerns before I explain what will be happening the next three days?"

"Yeah. What exactly will we need to do? Do I need to do anything?" Ryne asked.

"Well, that's what I was going to start with. Do you want the baby to be genetically yours at all?" she asks carefully.

Ryne thought for a moment and made a decision. "Yes. I want this child to be mine."

"Ok, we will need you to provide sperm." She writes a note in his chart. "So, will we do the injection today. Then, in three days, you'll come back. We will do an ultrasound to see if you did grow a womb. If so, you will be set up in a room, as you'll need to spend the night," she pauses to let him soak in the information she's given him already.

"Ok, I'll explain more when you come back." She opens the cabinets and begins gathering the supplies for the injection. "This needs to go in your hip, can you lay on your side and pull your pants down a bit?"

"A little cool," she says, wiping his skin with alcohol. "Little pinch, and it may sting a bit going in," she says, starting the injection.

Ryne stayed absolutely still as he was injected. He grimaced as he felt a slight sting.

"Sorry," she says, withdrawing the needle and placing a bandage on his hip. "You may feel a bit swollen or bloated in your abdomen. You may also be very tired tomorrow. Call me if you have any questions before you come in three days."

Ryne nodded as he slowly got up. "Okay. I think I'm going to go home now."

Ryne nodded as he went home and went to bed. He fell on the bed and immediately fell asleep.

Alyssa went home and began working on her specialty, spaghetti. Ryne needs to eat much more than usual, to support the soon-to-be baby.
