"Can I come in little brother?". Tecciztechatl whispered softly as he noticed his little brother's tears and feel his sadness. He entered the room and pulled him into a hug. "It's alright little brother. Please don't cry. I am sorry I yelled at you and said those things. I was only stressed and in pain because my mate's pain from the pregnancy. I had taken his pain into my own body. He held him close and brushed his tears away from his face. "I do love you little brother. I always will. I will also always be here for you. I just ask you take down the defensive barriers you use to push others away. You don't need them anymore. I will help you with them." He sat down on the bed and pulled Quetzalcoatl into his lap and rocked him as he sang a song to calm him down.

Quetzalcoatl was tense against the hug and in his brother's lap. It was strange, being comforted like this. They had both come into the world fully grown and fully aware. The universe breathed and the gods appeared. Simple as that. "How could they abandon me?" Quetzalcoatl whispered. "I am the boundary-maker between the land and sky. I created mankind. How could they forget that about me? They used to name their most high priests after me. Now... hardly anyone knows I ever even existed..."

Tecciztechatl held him closer to his chest so he could listen to his heart beat. "I know little brother. It hurts to be forgotten. But you have to understand times had changed and people's hearts with them. Including the gods, they decided to seek out their own personal worshiper and settle down. It's the curse and blessing of our lives little brother. We only continue to live on in our children, folk songs and stories. We must change with the times but hold onto our memories as we create new ones. Their are humans that study our legends and our stories. They are called folklorists. They preserve our stories and still speak of us fondly even if we are considered only fiction to them. I am sorry I was pushing you so much little brother. I don't want see you fade away from sadness and loneliness as some of the others." He stroked his back to help calm him down and get him relax. He smiled as he felt his heart beat go steady and peace for the first time along with Jacob's since their children were born. "Can you hear my heart beat?. It seems for once your son is calmed down. The reason he was stressed and upset was because he could sense your sadness and pain. I promise you I would never forget about you or abandon you. These times have much to offer. You just have to give them a try."

Quetzalcoatl sighed and nodded. He supposed Tecciztechatl had a point. It wouldn't be easy letting go of the past, but he would learn to do so eventually. And while the wind serpent might never take a human lover, he'd at least always have his brother and his son to keep him company. Not to mention his new nephews and niece. Quetzalcoatl would be sure to tell them stories about those ancient days when humans sang the gods' praises. They would know their history and their heritage. "I will try..."

He smiled at him. "Thank you little brother. Now I believe your niece and nephews are awake and want to see their uncle Quetzalcoatl. Don't ever forgot you also my mate Jacob to keep you company. I am sure he will warm up to soon enough. Just give him some time. Also I want to show you the wonders of junk food and video games. I have a fondness for this thing they have invented called a candy bar." He chuckled and hugged him again. "Do you feel better now?".

"A bit," he mumbled, trying to not appear too soft too quickly. Quetzalcoatl would get up and follow his brother, though, so that he might properly meet the triplets.

Some days passed, drawing Jacob's due date ever closer. However, he'd become sick in that short time. The boy was lethargic and weak, looking pale and thin, except for his belly which had been engorged to the size of octuplets. Jacob was always in bed now. He didn't even have the strength to get up and walk to the cribs. Tecciztechatl's hand swept over his huge belly, a look of fear and deep worry always in his eyes. Jacob smiled weakly and touched his mate's cheek. "Don't look at me like that, Terri..." he said, struggling to take a breath. "Just a couple more days, right? I'll... I'll be okay after that."

Quetzalcoatl stood out on the balcony, his own eyes trained on the sky. He'd been watching as day by day, the moon crept closer to the sun, threatening to swallow it entirely in an eclipse. He had yet to say anything to Tecciztechatl, but doubted he could avoid the subject much longer, especially with Jacob in his current condition.

Tecciztechatl would smile and nod at him. "Yes you will be fine. Everything is going to be alright". He sighed as he continued to comfort his lover the best he could. He cared for the babies and his mate for days on end. He smiled back at his lover as he watched him grow weaker by the day. He was scared he would lose him. If he lost Jacob he would fade away as well. He couldn't bear living without him. He was scared about what would happen to the babies. If they both disappeared. He continued to put a brave face on for his mate and children's sake. He was by his mate's side when Quetzalcoatl entered their room. Jacob was resting peacefully in their bed. He looked up at his little brother. "Yes what is it?". He stroked Jacob's hair out of his face.

"There might be a problem," Quetzalcoatl said, sounding a bit hesitant to continue. "It's why I tried eating your children the first time I came here. Tecciztechatl, there's an imbalance. With the birth of your children, there are now three moon gods while there remains only me to master the sun. I cannot continue keeping the moon at bay. My powers grow weaker with the approach of the eclipse." Quetzalcoatl licked his lips and watched at his own child squirmed in Jacob's belly. "A lot of my efforts have been put into keeping my son at rest, but his powers are still raw and volatile. If the moon swallows the sun before he is born, I can't guarantee Jacob's well being."

Tecciztechatl sighed and looked at his lover. "What can we do to fix it the balance?. I will not allow you to eat or harm our children. Please tell me little brother. I can't bear to lose him or our children. Is there a way we can rush his birth?"

Quetzalcoatl actually looked sympathetic for once. "I might have been able to a few days ago, but I hadn't realize what was happening yet. I don't have the strength to do anything except keep him civilized." Jacob shifted in bed as a faint tremor passed through his belly. He touched the painfully gravid orb when he felt it again. An impatient flutter. Muscular coils sought to stretch themselves, bulging out shapes against tight flesh. The arch of Jacob's spine pushed his belly outward, emphasizing its dimensions. He struggled to take a breath. The flutters were visible through the taut skin, the motion of inner life unmistakable. Quetzalcoatl sighed heavily. "Or my son might decide he is done waiting and force his own birth."

Tecciztechatl nodded sadly at him as he stroked Jacob's belly to comfort him. He flinched as he felt his lover's pain. "Tell me how to force his birth early so I can have a chance to save Jacob's life. I promised him he was going to be fine. "It's getting worst, please remove your mark Quetzalcoatl and then we will have the power to force his birth and save Jacob's life. Then, I can take him to my temple on the moon with our children so he can recover. The waters there have the power to heal the damage to his body." He paused for a moment. "How will your son be born if he decides to force it himself?"

Quetzalcoatl looked away for a moment, choosing not to answer his brother's question.

Jacob groaned and grit his teeth. "T-Terri... Why c-can't we g-g-go there now?" the boy asked. If the waters on the moon could make him better, why wait? Maybe Quetzalcoatl couldn't follow them there.

The wind god shook his head. "I will remove the mark, but be aware that I will have no control over my son once that happens." Quetzalcoatl approached the bed when he felt a pain grip his chest. "Ghn!" He gripped the front of his tunic and looked out towards the open balcony again. Silvery blue eyes widened when he saw the moon just inches from covering the sun entirely. "No! Nono!"

A loud groan of discomfort filled the room as the muscles Jacob's belly simultaneously squeezed the fecund globe sharply inward, revealing the hard, unyielding shape of his fully occupied womb, a kicking, bumping motion visible within from the serpent's reaction to this sudden change of events. As quickly as it had started it was over, and with a gasp of relief his belly sprang back to its formally full dimensions, gurgling and wobbling slightly as it did so. "Terri... T-Terri... I don't feel good..."

Tecciztechatl was at Jacob's side in an instant. "I am here my love. I will take us to the moon now. Just hang on please". He watched as his lover's belly had rose and fallen down. He turned to his brother. " Quetzalcoatl! What's going on with him?!. Why is he reacting this way?. Is it time for him to be born or he is forcing it?!." He kissed Jacob's forehead and looked over at Quetzalcoatl. "Come over and hold onto me. I am going to teleport us to the moon's temple with our children. The only way to help Jacob now is too dip him in the moon waters and have your son born that way. Doing so will lock his power until he is able to control it." He ran over and picked up their children and held them close as he held Jacob and vanished in a burst of light.

"It's the eclipse!" Quetzalcoatl exclaimed. "He's trying to fight against the decline in powers." Quetzalcoatl was not at all pleased with Tecciztechatl's idea of locking his child's powers, but he supposed it had to be done.

Jacob closed his eyes against the bright light. When he opened them again, he was met with the most wonderful vision. Billions of stars twinkled overhead. The trees and grass all seemed to glow, pale and white and blue. Purple, white and silvery flowers blanketed the hills. Overhead, just like in his dreams, enormous white moths flew silently and gracefully through the sky. Jacob managed a tiny smile. "I... I knew i-it... Aaahg!" The smile immediately turned into a grimace. Jacob arched his back off the ground as a powerful contraction seized his ripened body, his quivering belly now slick with a shining gloss of perspiration.

Terri handed their children over to Quetzalcoatl. "Stay with our children. I am taking him to the waters to bathe and birth your son." He held Jacob close to his chest as he hurried to the pools near a platform of white marble. The waters were a light silvery blue and surprisingly warm. He stripped them both and climbed into the pool holding Jacob in his arms. He merged Jacob's belly into the waters and watched as they glowed along with his belly restoring his health and locking the child's power. He cupped his hand and held a handful of the water to Jacob's lips to drink. "Alright, my love get ready to push now. It's time for Quetzalcoatl's child to come into this world". He stood Jacob up and held him from behind closely. As he flinched in pain from the another powerful contraction.

"Ah... Ah... Haaah..." Jacob's great belly shook and rumbled, life and activity inside. The water had restored him well enough, but he was still a human struggling to birth a god. And even with its powers subdued, the wind child still thrived on its natural brute strength. Jacob clenched his teeth as the contractions began. "Nnnngh! Ahn! Aaahn!" His belly heaved and shook, alive unto itself as he fought to birth the serpent. He turned an almost frightened eye on his own belly, watching the heaving surface. Both hands pressed low on the sides of his immensely quaking orb, feeling more from within its terrible dimensions.

Terri held Jacob close to his body and held his stomach. "I am going to have to push on your stomach. Please forgive me for the pain I may cause you now". He pressed down hard on Jacob's belly near his belly button to force the child in the direction of the birthing canal. He continued to push and release on Jacob's stomach until he felt it forced into the entrance of the birthing canal and had no choice but to keep going down. "I am sorry my love. It's going to be alright. Just keep pushing for me. Come on you can do it!."

Jacob's belly undulated back against Tecciztechatl's effort to push on it. The womb heaved as stronger and stronger muscular waves coursed through it. Each brought a gasp and a squeal of pain from the boy as he squeezed his poor, overstretched womb in time with them, trying to direct the babe inside him down and out. The bulk of his monstrous belly had visibly shifted lower. Jacob tilted his head upward as he felt the bones of his hips and pelvis grind against each other, the heavy bulk of his womb pressing down on them cruelly. "Nnnnngh! Nyyyah! I c-can't... I can't! I c-ca-aaaahnaah!"

"Yes, you can my love. Come on please keep pushing it's going to start crowning soon enough". He pushed down again and forced it down further. He cupped his hand into the water and started feed it to Jacob to give him the strength to continue pushing the wind child out of his body. As he forced it down lower by pressing down on Jacob's stomach as hard he could.

"Terri, that hur-rrrhnng!" He managed a long pained groan, his fingers clawing the swell of his belly as the surface contorted and rolled, the flutter of inner life now an unmistakable pulse as the contents try to breach his belly and make for freedom. "Oh god!" Only the single phrase came before the vast sphere bulged, rising with a sudden jerk as the creature within responded to the external force. Jacob arched his back, sweat jumping out over his skin in a glistening sheen as his massive belly convulsed and heaved, pants and moans cascading from his lips as the boy writhed in time with the waves of kicks and thrusts from his womb. Even as the head approached his entrance, the rest of the body thrashed inside him.
