Justin felt a little flustered talking to the barkeep and blushed again. He’d never experienced these emotions before.
“I was kind of wondering...ummm...if...” he mumbled. “I’m Sir Justin and we are going on a quest. And I was hoping or asking if you would be willing to... accompany me.. I mean us on this quest. Would you?”

Samantha stayed near Justin, pretending to order a new jug of mead. Meanwhile .. the young barkeep stayed at the bar, expressing a smile while feeling the same emotions that Justin felt. "I would love to travel with you on your quest Sir Justin, my name is Koi." Samantha felt left out, sighing while she was unable to think straightly but she stayed sitting. She smiled at Justin and then one at Koi who was the barkeep. He listened to the conversation, making sure not to order any more mead because she was too intoxicated. "I do not mind departing in the morning. And hello Samantha." Koi smiled, looking at the young man who made her look older than her true age. When he was gazed at by Justin he blushed a s well, expressing a warm, friendly smile. "Well .. I am 20 and I am a certified barkeep so there will be lots of mead that I can offer during the trip."

Justin barely could withhold his excitement that Koi would be joining them on this trip. They could always use a strong man who could fight with them. To keep them safe and protected.
Protected? Justin thought to himself. He felt waves of reassurance knowing that he would be with them. Feelings of warmth overcame him. Justin felt a long trip like this wasn’t going to be the easiest and safest for someone like him. He wondered why as he never felt the need to have others be with him on quests like this. Maybe he was learning to like people.
He smiled at Koi again who returned the smile. Justin hoping to himself that maybe Koi liked him too. He looked over at Samantha who had joined him. A sense of paranoia and maybe anger boiled up in him. Justin was worrying that Koi would like Samantha more than him and fear gripped his heart.

Samantha stayed nearby, sensing the hatred that Justin felt ooze from him because of Koi but ignored him. Koi packed his clothes, barkeeping supplies and a large amount of mead. He was eager to be with Justin and had told that only when he was to be alone with just him and him only. He smiled or smirked whenever he was with his new beloved friend. Justin smiled. “Have you ever heard of the Reaper? Fair Samantha vanquished the creature but we now seek out the master of that creature. I fear he has dark designs for this kingdom. The travel may be dangerous and is lengthy. Probably six to seven months.”

While staying deathly quiet Samantha simply did not care or tried not to as the two men spoke to each other without her. She knew that she would soon be changed into a big, strong and eager to be sexual man. Meanwhile, Koi and Justin (who was soon to be Justine) were talking to each other and no one else. Justin was excited that Koi accepted and also very inebriated despite only having a couple of glasses of mead. He summed it up to his being weakened by his sickness.
He told Koi that they would be leaving at dawn and looked at Samantha asking her if that would be all right by her. He wasn’t sure but he felt Samantha didn’t like Koi or maybe she wanted Koi for herself. Pangs of jealousy courses through Justin’s body.
Justin was ready to leave and got up from the stool. He leaned closer to Koi and then stopped himself. Was he going to kiss him? That was unusual. Instead he blushed and wished Koi a good night.

Koi smiled, leaving to go to a early slumber that evening. He was excited that he would soon leave everything behind to go on a quest. He hummed softly, gazing into Justin's eyes for a second or so. He had a crush on Justin but did not let that such thing be of known to him. At least .. not yet. He went to slumber, dreaming about Justin and him in the throes of lovemaking. One month into the quest:
Koi had been with Justin and Samantha this past month. The journey had been slow though they had been making progress. Justin dealing with his mysterious illness and feeling weaker. He hadn’t been in much practice but he had noticed some loss of musculature in his arms. He summed it to the illness and despite Samantha’s pleading, he decided against waiting to start their journey until he felt better.

They had finished one months journey and still had maybe 6 more months before they got to Dragonshade. Then the journey could end with the sorcerers death.
