Hulu Original “Monsterland” Episode 4
#1

There’s a new series out on Hulu that’s a collection of short stories. The fourth episode features a billionaire responsible for an oil spill who finds himself possessed/pregnant with a religious demon.

There’s a lot of talk of “birth” and “birth pains” and “vessels/hosts”.

There’s very brief belly scenes, nothing spectacular unfortunately. And though it’s hinted at quite a bit, there’s not really a birth scene. He gives himself a c-section basically in the end.

The episode is cheesy and tacky in my opinion. But I figured I’d bring it up.

Cheesy, yes, but there's no denying the blatantly obvious symbolism.

I don't know why, but it definitely doesn't hurt that he's an older man talking about his own birth plan. Something about a silver fox carrying is wildly attractive.
