I definitely have plans to do the Childcare Edition if no one else does it in the meantime. Not sure when because I have something else I'm working on, but at some point I will be back to this series.

I hope so too! A couple of months ago I sent a message to the American branch of Kodansha (the publisher) requesting an official English release. I did not receive a reply. Hopefully she will be able to get something started on an English release!

It's probably nothing, but Eri Sakai announced that she has a new work coming out in next month's issue of Be Love. I hope it's another Kentaro Hiyama continuation, but chances are it's something else.

It's a series called "Life and Sacrifice". It's a one-shot about a woman who can empathize with people when she access their memories.

Hey, I just discovered that the drama version of the manga (He's Expecting) is available on Canadian Netflix.

I haven't watched it yet, but it's there. Eight 25 minute-long episodes starting with Kentaro finding out he's pregnant and then ending with the birth of the baby, going by the episode summaries, and with more focus on Kentaro and Aki's relationship.

Apparently the manga has officially been translated into French. Lucky croissant eating bastards.

Hopefully they'll pick up the Ikuji-Hen series as well. It would definitely help with translating since French is a language I'm actually mostly fluent in.

Eri Sakai was interviewed recently and while she does not offer any updates about a possible sequel, she does leave some fascinating tidbits about the manga. For example, she got pregnant for the first time during the making of Kentaro Hiyama. The reason why Kentaro's morning sickness is mildly touched upon is because she herself had mild morning sickness.

She also wanted to show that its okay to have abortions, so there's that too.
