Barnett enteres Luke's room with the medical trolley after knoking in the door.
Luke was in labor watch and it was time to see if anything had changed and Luke had gone into labor.
"hey Luke you okay?" he asked surprised to find the older man out of his bed and by the window rotating his hips. "Luke are you having a contraction?" it was stupid to ask as it was so clear it was so. He came closer to the older man to aid him and check just in what stage of labor Luke was. "you didn't call us?"
"Don't be silly, this is our job and you know it's important we monitor every step of your labor..." he said worried. "can you manage to walk to the bed or bend over the chair for me? I need to check your progression" he said yet he was sure Jake was entering active labor by the way he acted.
Barnett raised the gown of the patient and made him part his legs for him as he gloved his hands "you're eight cm already Jake. I can take you to the delivery ward now unless you'd rather wait a bit more... Has your water broken?" he asked not wanting to use forceps and open him more up just to be able to see if the placenta was still in pace.
Barnett called the nurse station and informed Jake was in active labor and needed to be taken to the delivery ward.
Soon two nurses came over to help take Jake to a delivery room. He was taken there in a wheel chair. "did you wanted a water delivery or a teadional one?" Barrett asked to know if to take him to a room with a birthing tub or one with the medical bed with stirrups.
