Long ago in a time long forgotten, humanity discovered an ancient machine on Mars. When they brought it back to Earth, they discovered that the machine was alive. The machine gave humans enlightenment, giving them knowledge, tripling their life spans and allowing to expand their territory. The machine brought others to Earth, seeking to bask in the machine's light. In honour to the machine's achievements, they named it The Trinity. The Trinity watched over those who received its gifts, but it was running away from an powerful evil. The Dark Emperor was a powerful tyrant with millions under his command. He sent thousands of his agents against the Trinity, attacking all the colonies that belonged to those under the Trinity's light. The Dark Emperor managed to find the Trinity and attack it. The Trinity nearly all of its light to send the Dark Emperor away, saving its followers and banishing the Emperor's agents away from Earth.
Now, those who have survived the Great War have lived in a massive city that surrounds where the Trinity stands in the sky. Those who are given what little light the Trinity offers are made into Guardians, protecting its people and going out to aid in the effort to reclaim the world's the Dark Emperor's agents have taken.
Races:
Humans
Elves: human like beings with various types of blue skin and with pointy ears. They can harness the light of the Trinity with ease.
Machina: machines that once served humans. When the Great War happened, many of them were forceiy shut off. But when the Trinity banished the Emperor, the energy that was used revived the Machina but gave them a consciousness and became sentient beings. Now they wander the Earth, carrying them light within them.
Beastials: human like beings that have animal like characteristics.
Agent Races
The Cell: armoured beings with four arms and the ability to turn invisible. They act much like pirates, pillaging and salvaging anything of worth. Taking refuge in old Earth cities
Twilights: an organic like race that infect others like a disease, turning them into horrible monsters. These monsters have a hive mind being known as Twilight Zone, an unknown creature that is located somewhere inside Earth's moon.
The Shard: grey skinned human like beings with vampiric like abilities. They are known to find young humans to drink their blood. They reside on Venus.
