"I haven't gone to the store yet, and Kevin.... He was a little surprised that I was pregnant," he replied a little uncertainly

“We can go back in now?”, Taylor offered, “what do you mean by surprised? What did he say?” He really hoped he wasn’t rude to Nathan, he didn’t want the older man’s feeling to be hurt.

"We can go back... Don't worry. I'm fine," he whispered quietly and hugged the chair "Thank you for coming."

“That’s okay, do you want to go back now?”, he asked, “if not, we can go tomorrow”. He watched how Nathan hugged into the chair and furrowed his eyebrows and decided it would probably be best they go back when Kevin wasn’t there.

"I want to rest... I'm sorry you had to come here specially," he whispered and grabbed his hand lightly

“That’s okay, I forgot to tell you I have boxing practise later”, he said, holding onto Nathan’s hand. “I didn’t know if it would finish too late to be able to go over to yours for the night”.

"Alright... I wanted to clean up the apartment a bit today anyway," he whispered and looked at the landscape outside the window "Taylor? Your parents already know about me and the baby?" he asked directly

He shrugged, “they probably do, I wouldn’t be surprised if one of their friends have seen us out and said something”, he muttered bitterly. He continued driving, heading towards Nathan’s home, “I don’t talk to them and they don’t talk to me, only to let me know they’ve sent some money over so that I don’t starve to death or something.”

Nathan looked at Taylor with a weak smile and squeezed his thigh.
"You know... I always am if you need to talk about it," he replied quietly "I also want to be your support."

Taylor sent a small smile in Nathan’s direction, “thank you baby, I don’t care about it now as much as I used to”. He pulled up into the driveway, finally at Nathan’s home, “here we go, he said, getting out the car and opening the door for his lover.

Nathan thanked him and took his briefcase with him.
"Get some rest today," he whispered quietly, looking at his beloved with genuine concern

Taylor smiled, “you too baby, I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”

Nathan nodded and kissed him lightly goodbye. He waved him off and went to the apartment building where he had an apartment. He climbed the stairs and walked inside with a slight breathlessness.

Taylor drove to his house first, to grab his things and then headed back out. He drove to the gym where his boxing club practiced and headed inside. After greeting everyone he began to spar.

Back at the apartment, Nathan cleaned up what he could. Then he made himself some tea and sat down to check the papers of one of his classes. He stroked his stomach lightly as he pondered the answer.

After a few hours, Taylor was more than ready to leave, he had pushed himself hard today and it was harder than he’d gone in a while. He had a shower in the gyms changing rooms and then got in his car. He messaged Nathan, ‘just finished baby, what are you upto?’

It was a long time since Nathan wrote back. And that was because he was to take a shower and arrange baby stuff a bit.
"I'm just about to go to bed.... Today was an intense day."

Taylor was driving when he heard his phone buzz and he smiled knowing it was Nathan, yet he still waited until he got home to answer. ‘I hope you aren’t asleep yet but I love you, goodnight’, he wrote back as he got out of his car and opened his front door.

Nathan read the message with a blush and a rapidly beating heart. He felt like a teenager. Smiling, he fell asleep holding the phone in his hand.

That's how several weeks passed. Nathan counted down more and more days until the birth. That day he got up, feeling a pain in his back. However, he had been in pain for a few days so he wasn't terribly concerned about it.

Taylor had been sleeping next to him, they had been spending more and more time together recently. He woke up too, and saw Nathan’s expression, “are you okay baby?”, he asked, rubbing his back.
