"Well, if my accident is something that can help you get out there, can maybe it's for the best." Trian said. He raised his glass. "A toast: to our adventure."

Jeremy raised his glass. "To our adventure."

The two men sang some more karaoke and had some more drinks. By the time the two were done exploring Bourbon street, the sun had set beyond the skyline, and it was time to return to the hotel. Trian bounced onto his bed. "So, where to go after New Orleans..."

"Just pick a place and we'll go," Jeremy said.

"Aaahhhh.... Let's see Hollywood!"

Jeremy chuckled. "Alright. We can do that."

"Whoo! Alright, one more day here, and let's hit the road again!" Trian cheered. He threw off his clothes and climbed into bed.

Jeremy got into his PJ's and joined Trian.

Trian wrapped his arms around Jeremy and snuggled close.

Jeremy smiled and kissed Trian's forehead.

Trian closed his eyes, but disturbing thoughts plagued him. Why had he been so upset when that man started flirting with Jeremy?

Jeremy drifted off to sleep.

Sleep didn't come so easily for Trian, who wrestled with emotions and reasoning. It was early in the morning when he finally fell asleep.

Jeremy woke up at a decent hour and went to take a shower.

Trian remained sleeping, compensating for the sleep that was lost to internal struggle.

After his shower, Jeremy took Kiba out for a long walk.

Trian was still asleep when Jeremy returned.

Jeremy ordered some breakfast. Kiba hopped up onto the bed and sniffed Trian's face.
